as a tradesman i find these little edc tool kits a little comical. what are they good for? seems like people are just stuffing what ever small yools they can find in a pouch with no real plan on what they will need for a job

So you have 3 pliers and 4 bit drivers... And there is no point in socket heads because cobra can replace that. Also ratchet is only good with sockets too (and bad with screw bits).

Sometimes you just need eat a whole cucumber.

This is a great little bit driver for EDC too, blows a lot of Gucci EDC designer bit drivers out of the water, for a fraction of the price, if you can live without onboard bit storage. It's the size of a Bic lighter and very light. I carry it with a Spyderco and Knipex Cobra XS pliers, that combo beats the Leatherman Skeletool hands down.

10:10 the wera 838 rar m is the same but with a ratcheting function and a quick detach, might wanna give that a look

There is something the Chinese/foreign knife-buying public doesn’t seem to be discussing, which is that now that Trump is POTUS, and now that he is about to impose giant tariffs on foreign goods, Chinese and other foreign knife prices are set to about DOUBLE. Soon! That nice high-end Bladesmith Kizer knife you have always wanted just jumped from ~$150 to ~$300.

The value in buying American is not in the knife, per se, it’s in the jobs that buying American preserves! Why should we let foreign companies, which employees live much meaner lives than Americans do, making much less money, compete so effectively with American manufacturers (not the ones who job work out to Chinese companies)? The ONLY way to beat them is for those of us who are able to pay the full cost of manufacturing in the US, including the cost of paying living wages and benefits. If we do that, we have good reasons to be proud, to buy and be American.

That’s an exaggeration. I believe that some unscrupulous companies making relatively cheap knives may be cheating on “Made in America,” but the reputable companies don’t, or they clearly disclose that they use Chinese screws, or whatever. It’s a small world, so it’s hard to be absolutely, purely American! But if a product is mostly American, and if the company discloses that fact wherever they claim to be “American made,” I’m willing to give ‘em a pass.

That's a really nice tool kit. I have been working on one for a while now and refining it as time goes on. Besides being incredibly handy, it is a challenging mental exercise to make the kit as efficient as possible.
