I don't think mine was ever properly installed. The beater bar would spin aginst the floor when the handle was vertical. When removing a string from the beater bar it fell off. I am glad I found this video.

I was trying to clean the vacuum and the spring popped out. You have no idea how much trouble you saved me!

My friend, I just literally got that vac out of the box and that piece fell off. I worked for half an hour trying to figure out how to get that thing back in. First hit on google, here you are to save my day. MUCH APPRECIATED. I was bout to kill it..

Genius! Two years later and this is still the only video that shows how to fix this "common" problem! THANK YOU!!!! I just liked all of the comments. There should be 10x more with all the views this sweet, short, to the point video has had. My brain just froze when that piece and especially the spring, popped out a few months back. Still usable on my short rugs but not well. Now I can get it fixed right! Thanks again!

That spring popped out when I was cleaning my vacuum. I literally tried for OVER AN HOUR trying to figure out how to put it back in!
