Pretty Excited about some new fun zombies! Can wait to build around this! An other Fun Zombie I don't think you mentioned for this deck, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed! One of my faves! And combos well with Gary.

This precon has me excited about zombies again. I don't know if the deck has any built-in vehicle support. I didn't look into the deck to find out. If so, I might try to run smuggler's copter in there.

I think I would want to get a bastion of remembrance in there somewhere

The Motherlode, Excavator, Roil Cartographer and Behemoth of Vault 0 would have been a better including for some energy synergy. they are budget friendly and do what the deck wants to making energy. Urza is nice but i don't think it would be a great inclusion here. Paints a target on your back and could have others just target you before you can make a boardstate. 😅

It's cool to see we cut a lot of the same cards in our tech! Did you consider Nanogene Conversion in your list? That's a win con if I've ever seen one 😂

I love mill so one of my favorite zombies is Undead Alchemist. Super good against opponents with creature heavy decks. Loyal Subordinate is another favorite zombie. Great take on the deck

I'm cool with only two as long as they're both good as far as precons go. I would like them to overall slow the F down with the amount of stuff coming out. We all know that isn't happening though.

Goblin bombardment is a super strange include. You're taking a card slot to deal 1 damage to a creature or player, one time a turn. This is definitely not the deck for that card.

You said it twice, but this is the first energy deck we have gotten in this calendar year. We got two last calendar year. It would be three within the last 365 days though I'll give you that.

I find some of the interaction would be nice additions here cards like Galvanic Discharge, Aether Spike, Harnessed Lightning. A decent card for some flexibility in this would also be the MDFC Rush of Inspiration. I also like the engine value from Greenbelt Rampager especially when paired with Primal Prayers or Aether Revolt (enchantment from MH3 not the set). Roil Cartographer and Tempest Harvester are also good energy cards for some card draw on creatures, Auora Shifter is also a solid creature for energy decks. Alternatively cards like Unstable Amulet could be interesting with some of the other artifact creatures like Synth Eradicator. Though this would have to come with more play cards from exile as a package. Blaster Hulk is also a fun card for using up energy as removal on a big body.

I'm tired of you entitled commander players magic is more than commander and it eats off of every table (ie: standard, pioneer, madern, legacy and ect). If they didn't make a commander product ever again it will still be going along just fine. Get over yourselves.

So I am shocked that you removed lands. But then again I do see your point. The Mana base is always so important to me. But honestly, I would’ve added automated assembly line. I love cards that give me something for actions. I was already gonna do.

I like the changes, no comment from me there. As far as tap-lands go though, I wouldn't mind the surveil land Undercity Sewers in a list like this. We want zombies in the yard anyway, pretty close to fair trade off in my mind.

I would’ve at least wanted the third set for the third plane they’re introducing. Tie it to something there’s already a fanbase for, energy and zombies.

A nice cheap add might be Heaped Harvest. At its worst it’s a three mana mana rock that enters tapped, but but it ramps out 2 lands every time you copy it. Also synergizes with any landfall creatures you have out more than a normal rock would. Brudiclad Telchor Engineer is a way to keep a copy of the token you make, and also turns your thopters into 5/5s. Worldwalker Helm is another way to keep the token and make 2 map tokens in the process. Cursed mirror could act as a mana rock, and it would also give you a way to copy your opponents creatures. Not an artifact or artificer, but a copy of Overclocked Electromancer would be swinging as a 10/5 that is very likely to give you 5 or more energy. Threefold Thunderhulk is just stupid in this deck because it can make 19 1/1 gnomes the same turn you cast it. Also for recursion, you could use Scrap Welder (or Goblin Welder for a better but less budget option). They are both artificers, and would give you a way to work around the legend rule if you copied a legendary artifact. Copy the legendary, legend rule the original one, then second main sac the copy to bring the original back. A rules question I had is, would a creature that is both an artifact and an artificer give you two energy on cast? If so, casting creatures with both would provide an additional payoff.

I'm curious what would you think of a greenbelt rampager and primal prayers combo? It would get essentially create an infinite etb/ltb cycle, but with the aether refinery you would end up with infinite energy. This could have a nice payoff with something like Architecht of the untamed. If you use energy to cast the greebelt rampager with primal prayers, you can cast it at flash speed. Meaning you could get ifinite mana at flash speed. Architect would then also be able to activate her ability to put a token on the field, again, at flash speed. A 6/6 token no less. This could very easily set up for an absolute take over of the board, just swinging in with a massive amount of 6/6s could be devistating. Now, yes there are things that can really tamp this down, but outside of combat or other more expenisive artifact strategies, I'm having trouble finding a close out. Do you have any ideas, while staying budget minded, what non-combat strategies you might implement? My gut is telling me some kind of creature bounce strategy would work here, but I'm having a hard time putting it together.

Krav and regna should have a place in the deck you get life gain and token generation and card draw for one black and a sacrifice to start this insane engine, you also need ob nixilis, the fallen. That's all

Sundial of the Infinite is around $10. I'd include it as an alternative to sac'ing stuff.

Dude a vehicle/ Saddle precon would have been so rad, so much room there and another reason to buy aetherdrift packs to support a precon with vehicle/saddle pay offs.

Hey, Hi, Hows it going? By far my favorite precon of the year ;) I've always had fun with precons, especially upgrading them even if only slightly. However, I do realize over time that I just don't have any base precons, and I figured why not try and keep this normal. I love the idea of the upgrades in here, so honestly may end up with 2 eventually 1 to leave base, and 1 to upgrade. Realistically first thing I'd put in is fix the land base to where it isn't as heavy and jumbled/slow. I've never really played with zombies, but always was an interesting one to theorycraft around.

That seems a nice way to start playing energy! Having green gives a new touch!

I'm trying to get my 9 y/o son into magic. I built him an Anzrag the Quake-Mole deck but he gets super upset if he ever has to discard or mill. I was considering getting him this deck to help him get more confortable with the graveyard not just being a "lost forever zone".

Zombie is one of my first typal decks that i built 100% on my own with Varina. This precon is just strong from the get go and I can't wait to bust it open

I haven't played with energy yet, but this deck looks like it could be fun! I think it might be fun to add Bello, Bard of the Brambles to combo with the commander to turn cheap vehicles into 4/4 indestructibles.

I have strong feelings for this precon. I love it and it looks cool. I hate it because I know I just want to grab so many cards from it for other decks, and then oh no I can't use it anymore properly. My opinions about what to throw in vs take out is interesting. I honestly would put my budget towards things I probably shouldn't. Cut some things and just Shove in Doubling Season and Inn Keeper's Talent to make extra energy and tokens to really take advantage of the commander and alt commander. Speaking of that, I would honestly run Pia Nalaar over Saheeli, just because I think that would be a more interesting deck overall personally. The only other card I can 100% see my self putting in no questions asked is Pick your poison. Being able to get around indestructible on the gods while they are enchantments only and hitting all opponents for 1 green has always been a favorite of mine since I pulled several in MKM Love your takes on what cards to cut and what to put in, overall great video.
