T-mobile 5G has been amazing for me! Switched providers a while back to save money..paying $55/month and it works perfectly. Sick vid!
It's day 3 of using my new 'wireless-broadband' with T-Mobile Home Internet. So far, not bad. PROS: Wireless, Wireless, Wireless! I can set the gateway device anywhere at any time in my house. CONS: Wireless (maybe) TBD when real bad weather ☁️ hits. The gateway router is not dual-band (2.4Ghz/5Ghz). Which means, I had to choose the wider range but, slower speed 2.4Ghz (110MB up/60MB down) when setting-up due to legacy devices (such as my security cameras) that only use 2.4Ghz. 😡instead of the faster 5Ghz (340MB down/40MB up). Also, this router is difficult to connect when you set its SSID (network name) to hidden. For example, my Xbox Series X only lets me connect to a Wi-Fi router with a 'visible' SSID. After, I connected the console, I set my router to Hidden again. Stay Tuned: If I start to have connection issues and or outages, I will switch to QuantumFiber in my neighborhood that's also the same price of $50 a month like T-Mobile Home Internet.
Hey Freddy, thanks for sharing your experience with T-Mobile Home Internet so far! Glad to hear it's been mostly positive. You're right, that lack of dual-band Wi-Fi on the gateway is a bummer for people with older devices. It's a trade-off for sure - wider range with 2.4GHz, but you miss out on those faster 5GHz speeds. Hopefully, T-Mobile will update their gateway to include dual-band in the future. And I can definitely see how the hidden SSID thing would be annoying with an Xbox. Good workaround though! As for the weather, fingers crossed it holds up for you! It's definitely something to keep an eye on with any wireless service. If you do end up switching to Quantum Fiber, let us know how it compares! It's always good to have options. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience, Freddy I’m sure me and everyone else reading this really appreciate all the great detail details! ✌️🤟
Using my own router with the new 5g T-Moble modem. Part of the desk is near a window in a 1 story home. 4 out of 5 bars 373 down 25.5 up. I had slightly better speed with Spectrum (which I've had for over 20 years) Spectrum was $77.99... $10 off the regular price after I talked to them and got a lower rate. T-Mobile here is $35 (we have phones from them, 55+ plan). Speed is a little lower in early evening, but for the price I can live with that! I have no complaints about Spectrum they always quickly resolved any service problems. I'm still in the evaluation period, so far I'm impressed!
Hey @WFTL14, thanks for sharing your setup and experience! It sounds like you've got a great thing going with T-Mobile Home Internet. Those are solid speeds, especially considering you're getting 4 out of 5 bars. And it's smart to place the gateway near a window - that definitely helps with signal strength. It's interesting to hear how it compares to Spectrum. It seems like you're getting very similar performance for a much lower price, which is a win! I'm curious, what kind of router are you using? It sounds like it's working well for you. Keep us updated on how it goes during your evaluation period! Hopefully, those early evening slowdowns aren't too bad.
hey man, can you hook up the sonos sub to the fives? is it necessary? also, how did the hook up the turntable, is it rca cables?
Hey Flip! Yes you can connect a sub or sub mini to the fives. Now whether or not that’s a “necessity” is totally subjective. As you can see in the video, my fives are in a relatively large space so I personally felt like I needed a little more bass. I did end up connecting a sub mini, but depending on room size, I’m sure you could totally get away with just using the fives on their own. Even before I connected the sub, I was really happy with the sound- I just happen to have a sub laying around so I connected it lol. And as for the turntable, yes I connected it with an adapter from Amazon, which was female RCA to stereo headphone jack. Let me know if you have any other questions! ✌️🤟
@@NigelWorkman thanks for the great response! did you have a sonos sub? i guess you can connect a regular sub too, if you split the headphone jack into a rca to go to the sub, and the other split to the FIVE.. correct? is that what you did, or did you have a sonos sub?
Can this go outside in a covered deck?
If you have weather that is extreme, like I do, I would not recommend it. I too have a covered deck, but I also experience quite extreme storms and they can happen quickly without time to prepare and in that case, I can imagine forgetting the speakers out there. If you’ve ever seen a drop of water on the surface of your deck, I would not put the speaker out there. The “Sonos Move 2” on the other hand, is what I would recommend for this situation. It’s an amazing sounding speaker that would easily survive a situation like the ones mentioned above. Hope this helps! ✌️🤟
Congratulations on 100k Subs that you mentioned in video.
Hello, Nebo! I definitely do not have 100k subs LOL Maybe I said 1k? Either way, thank you so much for taking the time to congratulate me. I appreciate you!! ✌️🤟
@@NigelWorkman Ok. How is T-Mobile 5G working, is it good? Can I connect my own router to 5G Gateway through LAN cable? Not sure why they only have 2 LAN ports. Usually all Modem+Router in one have 4 LAN ports.
Which specs was your MacBook Air 15" ? 16GB ? 512GB ? 1TB ? M2 ? M3 ?
Hey Roger- at the time of filming this video (which was quite a while ago ha ha) is the base spec MacBook Air, which at the time would’ve brought you 256 GB of storage along with 8 GB of RAM and the current chip generation at the time being the M2.
I had the iPad 6th gen and I upgraded to iPad Pro 11 inch m4 and I am so happy that I did that
From 6th gen to this new pro is a serious upgrade- congratulations! Now am I crazy, or were you just as shocked as I was at how thin it is!? I was blown away. Thanks for taking the time to comment, Redds- I really appreciate it! ✌️🤟
The first thing I’d recommended is to put some sort of anti-slip tape or stickers at the bottom. I’ve seen so many Fives and Play:5 Gen2 selling on second hand market are broken, I think it’s because of the smooth surface and tapper shape makes it easily falling off your hands.
Hey there! Thanks for the comment and the heads-up about the Sonos Five. You're absolutely right, those things can be a bit slippery! I haven't personally had one take a tumble yet (knocks on wood), but I can definitely see how that tapered shape could lead to some butterfingers moments. Maybe Sonos should consider adding some grippy bits to the next model, eh? "Sonos Five: Now with 20% more grip!" 😂 Thanks for looking out for us clumsy audiophiles! Appreciate the support on the channel. 🙌
I have T-Mobile I love their customer service tried to install home Internet in Florida, but due to the hurricanes, the towers are down and they don’t know when they’re gonna be back up
Hey there! Appreciate you checking out the video and sharing your experience! It's rough to hear about the hurricane impacting T-Mobile Home Internet service down in Florida. Sending positive vibes your way, and hoping things get back to normal soon. 🙏 Hang in there, and hopefully, T-Mobile will have you back online in no time. Thanks again for watching! 🙌
Nigel for just stereo listening sometimes with a turntable would you recommend the 300 or the 5’s ?
Hello, Tim- thanks for stopping by! If you’re planning to use the speakers exclusively for your turntable, I’d definitely recommend going with the Sonos Fives. They’ve got a fuller, richer sound and are more suited for that pure stereo music experience, which is what you’ll get from vinyl. That said, before you make the call, think about whether you’ll ever want to take advantage of something like Dolby Atmos. The Era 300s support Atmos, so if there’s even a slight chance you’ll want to explore spatial audio in the future, it might be worth considering those. But if you’re 100% vinyl and stereo-focused, the Fives are where it’s at. Just something to think about! Thanks again for taking the time to leave a comment, Tim. I really appreciate it! If you have any other questions, feel free to come back! Take care ✌️🤟
@@NigelWorkman Thanks for the reply. I was given a 5 it’s bran new lucky me. I would like to buy a second one or sell it for a 300 pair I really enjoy the sound of the 5
Is the trueplay a sonos app?
Thanks so much for watching and for your question! Trueplay is actually built right into the Sonos app, so no need for a separate app. Sonos introduced it back in 2015 as a way to fine-tune your speakers to the specific acoustics of your room. It uses your iOS device’s microphone to measure how sound bounces around the room and adjusts the speaker for the best possible sound. It’s a really handy feature that helps get the most out of your setup, no matter where you place your speakers!
We currently have Cox internet. Have been considering T-Mobile home internet as it would be half of what we are paying Cox. However, T-Mobile doesn't have port forwarding (it states that on their info site) and that prevents us from accessing our home security camera system that is a wired system even with the app on our phone. There's a cell tower about 120 feet from our property line. I've checked the internet speed on the T-Mobile network through my phone and the speeds are incredible. We cannot seem to get correct advise as to how we could solve this dilemma, whether or not it is actually a problem. Any advice?
Hello Mary- thanks for stopping by! What brand of home security cameras are installed?
I definitely love Apple's Magic Mouse & choose it over all other mice. The only thing I like more is the Magic Trackpad. Note that one cannot handle the Magic Mouse the same way they handle conventional mice. Conventional mice are designed to rest under the palm - the Magic Mouse is designed to be managed with our finger tips - held with our thumbs and our pinky and ring fingers and all the touch features manipulated with our middle and index fingers. Once you figure this out and stop trying to force it to work like conventional mice its power and functionality and form of function can be unlocked.
Thanks so much for the thorough explanation! I can see why you love the Magic Mouse, especially with the way you’ve described its handling and touch features. It sounds like you’ve really unlocked its potential in a way that worked for you. If I still had mine to give away, you’d definitely be my top choice for it based on this! Thanks again for sharing your insight and adding to the conversation! ✌️🤟
Recently got the MBP M3 14, I wish the display was larger but holy cow it was very outside of my price range. Coming from an LG Gram 17 is tough.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Yeah, the jump from the 17 Gram to the 14-inch MBP definitely takes some getting used to, especially when it comes to screen real estate. The price can be a tough pill to swallow too, but that M3 performance is no joke. Curious-how are you finding the switch so far in terms of productivity and power?
@@NigelWorkman There are a few things that will take some time getting used to. 1. My work email doesn't support Outlook on Mac, yet it works on my iPhone. I've tried a few 3rd party clients but they are not the same. Currently having to use OWA in Safari. 2. Copy & Paste, slowly getting used to it. 3. Windows Alt+Tab to shift through different open browser windows even within the same app, on Mac you can only sift through the apps (unless there's another way around this). I do have the grouping or whatever it is (I'm so new lol) turned off and that helps with different windows in the dock. 4. Bluetooth range. With my iPhone I can go outside with my Airpods Pro & AP Pro2, but on the MBP if I go to another room inside my house and the door closes it begins to cut out. I do LOVE the display quality, the audio is way better than the LG Gram which has the speakers underneath the laptop, battery life is great now that I've stopped using Chrome, and the tactile feeling of the keyboard is a joy to use.
I love the magic mouse, I used all the time
You and many others share this same sentiment Mustang! I would’ve never thought so many people loved it, but I was definitely wrong lol Thanks for watching the video!
Hi Nigel! Just wondering if this is still the case after MacOS 18 and HomePodOS?
Hey, Robie- I honestly have not revisited that scenario since filming the video. Let me test it out when I get home later today. You’ve got me curious about this now!
@@NigelWorkman thanks man! Looking forward to your findings. Cheers!
Hey Robie! Unfortunately, I have some not-so-great news. I tested the two most important parts of the project, and unfortunately, they didn’t work as expected. The first part was using HomePods as the audio output for an application like Final Cut Pro. Unfortunately, Final Cut Pro still has a major audio sync issue, making it completely unusable. The second part was watching videos on the TV app or in a browser window. Everything worked perfectly, and the videos synced up well. However, it seems like they’re not outputting in Dolby Atmos. I did try to find a way to fix this, but I didn’t have much time to spend on it. The overall experience is unchanged as far as I can tell and would still recommend avoiding them as your main output from a Mac specifically. I do however continue to love them as a companion to my Apple TV in our master bedroom. They sound amazing in this space and I will likely continue to use them for years to come!! Take care Robie!!
@@NigelWorkman sorry for all the trouble man. I thought Dolby Atmos over Airplay 2 will include Mac as well but too bad. Really appreciate the effort in testing those out. Cheers!
Very satisfied so far with it. I had verizon 5g home plus to begin with as my local isp only issues around 60bmps down max, where verizon averages around 70-100 down. I live right next to a tower and t mobile has 5g antennas on it and I average around 600-850 with tmobile out in the middle of the country in florida. Very low ping as I play games on it too.
Hey, THEGOAT! Thanks a bunch for your comment and for sharing your experience! It sounds like you’re having an amazing time with T-Mobile, especially since you’re out in the country. That’s super cool! I’m glad to hear that it’s also working great for gaming with the low ping. It’s awesome that it’s been a solid upgrade for you compared to Verizon! Thanks again for stopping by and commenting - take care ✌️🤟
No this speaker is garbage a mess to connect to your network and every update breaks it stay away from sonos
Hey Carlos! Thanks for sharing your opinion. I wanted to add a bit more to what you said. Before the big app update, my Sonos system was super reliable, and I never had a single issue. But the new app has been buggy, and it’s caused a lot of frustration for me, not just with the Sonos speakers, but with the whole system. The new app came out a few days ago, and it’s been promising, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Sonos will fix all these problems. I’ve invested a lot in their ecosystem, and I don’t want to give up. I totally understand why you have your opinion, and I’m not jealous when I say I’ve been enraged by them more than a handful of times recently. Fingers crossed for those of us who enjoy our Sonos systems and hope for a smoother road ahead. Take care, Carlos, and thanks for stopping by!
I run a SONOS System in my home since years. The Sonos App crashes on iPhone 15 and iPad Pro many times. Need to delete and install again. After lost Power the system is not available. The App tells me: There is no system available ! 😳 Due to extreme problems inside Sonos company the CEO did send emails to all users to apologize for so many problems and trouble with Sonos. I will never buy SONOS again. Nearly daily Problems appears ‼️.
Thanks for the advice
My pleasure, Jideo!!

It just came to my neighborhood so i signed up. I have a phone plane from them so im paying 30 a month nd i guess in 90 days i get a $300 prepaid MasterCard lol couldnt pass that up lol
Hey Mr. Havery- Thanks for sharing your experience! Yep, that $30 a month for T-Mobile phone plan customers is such a great deal, and the $300 prepaid MasterCard after 90 days is definitely a nice bonus. It’s one of those offers that’s hard to pass up! I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, and I hope the service works out well for you. Feel free to come back and share how it’s going! ✌️🤟

I own the Sonos move the first generation and listening to it, especially when you’re playing high resolution music. It sounds great to me.! 👍
I couldn’t agree more, George! I still use my first generation move daily and have never felt anything other than joy when listening to this little portable powerhouse! The GEN two does have a minor leg up on it, but definitely not enough to make a person trade up! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment George I really appreciate it!! ✌️🤟

Thanks a ton for sharing your experience and for dropping a comment on my video. Really appreciate it, and I hope you keep loving that killer setup! ✌️🤟
what plays world of warcraft better is a good test
Dang it! Why didn’t I think of that?
Cox cable has had a monopoly on the Home internet market where i live forever. I saw that T-Mobile home internet was $50 a month and was wondering if it was fast enough to stream 4k movies and you just answered my question. Thank you so much for this video. Im so excited to kick cox to the curb.
Hey! Thanks so much for watching my review and I’m really glad you found it helpful! Kicking Cox to the curb sounds like a win, but just remember that my experience with T-Mobile 5G Home Internet might not be the same for everyone. It works great in my area, but coverage can vary based on how many people are using the same tower, among other factors. I’d recommend checking out Reddit or other forums to see what people in your area are saying before canceling Cox. The good news is that T-Mobile offers a two-week trial, so you can try it out risk-free. If it doesn’t work out, you can cancel without any charges. Thanks again for watching-I really appreciate it!
The speaker has horrible midrange. Great highs and lows, but vocals and music...lacking
Thanks for the feedback! While I'm no audiophile, I do believe the overall sound to be pretty even overall (content dependent) I also did run some tests with a frequency analyzer, and the response curve looked pretty even to me. Most reviews I've seen mention that the Sonos Move 2 has solid midrange clarity-so I was a little surprised to see you describe it as "horrible." Even if it’s not as strong as you'd like, I feel like "horrible" might be a bit of a stretch. But hey, everyone’s ears are different! Maybe it's just one of those things that depends on the type of music you're into. Anyway, I really appreciate your perspective!
I was wondering the same why there is no midrange control
I wanna buy this speaker, is it better in horizontal or vertical ? i will use with my pc
Hey Rebel-thanks for stopping by! Funny you should ask, as I just placed them vertically for the first time. Keep in mind, I’m using a stereo pair, so this is Sonos' preferred orientation. Now, I’d love to tell you that I noticed a major difference in the sound signature, but I didn’t. However, you’ll be able to direct the sound to a particular listening position with much more precision, which does change the sound a bit, but it’s not a total game changer. That’s not to say there aren’t folks out there who might notice a significant difference, especially those with a more advanced listening ability-but unfortunately, I’m not that guy, lol. If you’re only planning on using one speaker, then horizontal is definitely the way to go, as this allows you to hear stereo imaging from just one speaker. Placing a single speaker vertically will switch it to a mono signal, so keep that in mind. Hope this helps, Rebel! Feel free to ask any follow-up questions you may have-I'm happy to help! Take care! ✌️🤟
Well what do I tell my boyfriend about his $50 WiFi home internet it now acts like a iPhone hotspot where you have 100mbps to use than your network starts the throttle? Is this supposed to happen? He was also getting messages that his internet will be slower. He just bought it 2 weeks ago and now we can’t watch apps on a smart TV.
Hello, e4TV-thanks for stopping by! It sounds like your boyfriend is experiencing data throttling. While T-Mobile’s 5G home internet is generally unlimited, the network may slow down temporarily during times of congestion, especially after heavy usage. This shouldn’t happen all the time, so I’d recommend checking your data usage in the T-Mobile app or reaching out to customer support to see if there’s anything specific affecting his account. They should be able to help get your streaming back on track! On the other hand, if the performance is consistently poor in your area, it might be worth considering a different provider that can meet your needs. The same aspect that makes this service great-using a cell tower for signal-can also be its Achilles’ heel. While this setup is typically reliable (for instance, I’ve never had an outage during storms, unlike with Cox Communications), the quality of service can vary depending on network congestion near your closest tower. I live outside of town where there aren’t many people using the network, so my service is generally excellent. However, in more densely populated areas, the experience might not be as consistent. I hope you guys are able to get it all figured out , e4! Take care ✌️🤟
@@NigelWorkman This does thank you for the helpful tips! We called the provider and found out he has Home Wifi Lite where he will only get 100mbps per month. For the life of me why would anyone be allowed to sell a plan like this is so wrong and for $50 per month. He has to wait until the other unlimited plan is open in his area.
I was so excited to get these and experience the atmos and spatial audio on these but it was just disappointing when it is similar to my beats fit pro. Ill probably return them and just get the airpods max.
Hello, Kuemage- thanks for stopping by!! I hear you. The promise of spatial audio is exciting, but when it doesn’t deliver beyond what you’ve already got, it’s definitely frustrating. If the AirPods Max seem like a better fit, that’s a solid choice- not to mention, if you are someone who uses multiple devices in the Apple ecosystem, it’s nice having another piece that fits in seamlessly. At the end of the day, it’s about getting what works best for you. Thanks for sharing your experience! ✌️🤟
T moblie is a let down it good for a month and than it dies down ping is 400000
Hello, Typhanuwu- thanks for stopping by!! Sorry to hear you've had a rough experience with T-Mobile. I just ran a Speedtest after reading your comment and got 36 ms ping, so it’s been holding up well on my end. But you’re right-because it’s a cellular service, performance can vary a lot depending on where you are and how the network is being used. That flexibility is what makes it a great deal for some, but it can also mean different results for others.
Dont get M3 wait for the Imac M4 coming this november. M1 TO M4 will be different. Powerhouse. AI.
Great point, Primal! With Apple AI inching closer by the day- those that are interested in these features will likely see the best performance on M4. I believe M3 will be supported, but the latest iteration (M4) being purpose built with these features in mind. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, Primal- I really do appreciate it!! ✌️🤟
Absolutely love T-Mobile 5g! Been with it over 2 years now! Got the first model and all!
Glad to hear you are having a good experience, Tohru!! For me, the speeds have actually been improving over the last year, so I am definitely a happy camper! For the price, I dont think this service can be beat. I’m always willing to try something else though- so as soon as there is a solid competitor in the area I will be giving them a shot! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and comment, Tohru- I appreciate it you!! ✌️🤟
@@NigelWorkman Of course, no problem. Always glad to support honest reviews/hard work.
I just bought a Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 used last year off Ebay since I thought the price was good. Wasn't expecting much - I have 2 Aiwa Exos 9s, a Bose Soundttouch Series III, and several Sony MHC-V50s and 77s etc. - I planned on testing out the Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 through a 3.5 mm input since I wasn't expecting the Wifi connectivity etc. and Older App to work. To my surprise, I was able to reset the Sonos and set it up with my router and ethernet. I say with all sincerity, the sound on this is amazing. I can't believe how such a (relatively) smaller system can produce such an astonishing sound... 😮☹🤔.... I am spending TOO MUCH TIME listening to my favorite music through this absolute beauty! Very pleasing and "sonorous" indeed! Huge Thumbs UP!!!👍👍👍
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It’s awesome to hear that the Play 5 Gen 1 exceeded your expectations, especially considering your impressive collection of audio gear. It really goes to show that great sound quality never goes out of style. Funny enough, your story reminds me of my friend Kris, who’s still using his first generation Play 5. Despite all the new tech out there, he swears by it and refuses to upgrade because he loves the sound so much. Happy listening, and here’s to many more hours of enjoying your favorite tunes! Huge thumbs up to you too! ✌️🤟
You are and will be a big UA-camr ! You helped me a lot with that video. Thanks from Germany!
Thank you so much, Tobias! I'm thrilled to hear my video helped you out. Your support means a lot. Grüße nach Deutschland! 🌟 ✌🏼🤟🏼
The problem is people won't stick together. Cox time Warner are rapeing you with the 🎉permission of state government. They raise the rates because they know with high speed internet that really all we need and there busness is dieing.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It’s definitely frustrating to see rates go up, especially when it feels like there aren’t many options. Hopefully, increased competition from services like T-Mobile 5G home internet can help push things in the right direction! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, Sanamax- I really appreciate it! ✌🏼🤟🏼
How did you conect your turntable to the 5's?
The turntable has RCA output, which is then converted to 3.5mm stereo headphone jack via a cheap Amazon cable. This plugs into the back of the 5. Let me know if you have any more questions! ✌🏼🤟🏼
On the one hand, I have a growing feeling that Apple's Silicon chip is amazing when it comes to iPhones and laptops but seems to be less efficient when applied to Desktops, on the other I'm shocked to notice the short delays between the evolution of the 'M' series for non-upgradable computers. Apple's strategy consists in attracting its community by dangling the carrot of cheaper computers at first glance, but only savvy consumers quickly realize the real cost of the iMacs and the Incurred risk of a potential M 4 launched on the market a couple of months after. Sometime I wonder wether a large majority is endocrinated....
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! It's great to hear different perspectives on Apple's Silicon chips and their application across various devices. You bring up an interesting point about the efficiency of the M series in desktops and Apple's strategy with frequent updates. I understand your concern about Apple's approach, which can make users feel the need to constantly upgrade to the latest model to stay current. It does seem like the rapid release cycle plays on the desire to have the newest device, even if the practical differences may not justify the upgrade for everyone. Your insights into the potential cost implications and the feeling of being "endocrinated" by the frequent updates are certainly thought-provoking. It's important for consumers to stay informed and make decisions based on their actual needs rather than marketing trends. Again, thank you for watching the video, Paul and I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Your perspective adds valuable depth to the discussion! ✌🏼🤟🏼
Way too lengthy. Get to the point.
😂 sounds good, Mark! Send me a link to some of your own videos- show me how it’s done! 😘
I love the Magic Mouse lol. I have 2 of them 😂. It allows me to essentially keep my hand flat on the desk/table as i use it which is comfortable for my hands considering I have carpal tunnel lol. My mice need to either be flat like the Magic Mouse or in handshake position lol. I like the Magic Mouse though bc it takes up less space lol.
Hey, I'm glad to hear you love the Magic Mouse! It sounds like you've really found your perfect match, especially with your carpal tunnel. Unfortunately, I already gave mine away to another quick commenter. If I had another one, I'd definitely send it your way. Thanks for sharing your experience! ✌️
Hello! Do you think that machine will handle graphic design work like indesign, photoshop and video editing?
Hello, Erlend!! It really just depends on how intense the work you are doing is. If you aren’t doing anything more complicated than what you see in my videos, I would say you are good to go. On the other hand, with the M3 equipped 15 inch air now available, I would still recommend that machine as it will most certainly last you another year minimum. At the end of the day, you just have to weight the cost of both machines while also considering the complexity of your work. You may get a decent discount if you go with the m2 version, but the decrease in performance you will see with the m2 VS m3 (albeit a small one) just may tip you towards the newest (M3) version and be done with it. Hope that helps. I realize that most of that was just me arguing both sides LOL, but it is truly difficult to recommend something to someone without knowing the specifics of what they’re doing. Take care and if you think about it, let me know what you end up going with ! ✌️🤟
@NigelWorkman: Dunno why the 15’ looks SO much bigger than the 14’.. But it does ..
Right!? I’ve tried to explain this to people people over and over, but they tend to to get fixated on the number itself versus the real world experience of holding them both. Can’t help everybody though LOL Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate it! ✌️🤟
Can I pair another phone over Bluetooth to the sonos move 2 without wifi or the app after setup?
Hello, Irene! Yes, you can definitely pair additional devices without the Sonos app (after initial setup) There is a toggle on the speaker that will switch between Bluetooth and and the standard WiFi modes. Once in Bluetooth mode, you will hold the same button down to go into pairing mode. Everything from there should feel pretty familiar. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks for this comparison. I'm getting a good priced M1 iMac 👌🏻
My pleasure, ABC! Just wanted those who weren’t planning on doing any heavy load work, to know that this M1 can still fly through normal day-to-day tasks! Hope you enjoy your new M1!! ✌🏼🤟🏼
@@NigelWorkmanthat's exactly what I needed to know before buying this M1 iMac with 256GB and 8core GPU. I'll do some small video editing in 1080p and some in 4K, but nothing extraordinary or too complicated. That's why I hope it will do as good as my 11" iPad Pro with M1. I've already got it on my desk and will step by step learn how to use it 👌🏻 I'm used to windows and Android, so MacOS will be interesting adventure 😁😎
I'm glad to hear that the information was helpful! It sounds like your new iMac will be a great fit for your needs, especially with your video editing plans. MacOS can be quite different from Windows and Android, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in no time. Enjoy your new iMac and the adventure of exploring MacOS! Thanks for the great conversation and happy computing! 😊 ✌🏼🤟🏼
@@NigelWorkmanthanks a lot ! I also appreciate your answers and nice conversation :) good luck with your channel and enjoy what you're doing here🙂 #sharingiscaring
Still happy with my Sonos Play:5 (Gen 1), that I bought in 2009. I have considered upgrading several times, but I still think it is a waste of money. My Play:5 is still fine!
Hello, Henrico! It’s funny you should say this as one of my great friends and I often talk about how he still uses his GEN one in his living room as his main source of music. It still sounds amazing and he is not planning on getting rid of it anytime soon. This is clearly a testament of how great of a product Sonos makes. I think the one point of contention would be the inability to use this on the newer Sonos app, which would be required to have it communicate with newer products. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment , Henrico! I appreciate you ✌🏼🤟🏼
@@NigelWorkman Correct. I use two apps now. That’s the downside.
Thank you for the review and comparison! I’m looking to buy a iMac and the m1 is more affordable but I wanted to know any differences with each model 😅
Hello, Belair! As long as you’re not doing anything to taxing, you will be just fine with the m1!
This is an outstanding and well-made review, Mr. Workman. I am a long-time Harman Kardon lover, but you convinced me to get this Sonos Five. Excellent. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that my review helped you decide on the Sonos Five. Harman Kardon makes great products, so I hope you enjoy the new experience with Sonos. Your feedback means a lot to me. Thanks again for watching and for your support! ✌🏼🤟🏼
Subbed checking out your video and thumbs up ❤😊
