Fruit Salad With Buko: A Refreshing Holiday Treat
This Filipino Fruit Salad is a perfect addition to your Christmas and New Year celebrations, offering a sweet yet refreshing flavor that everyone will love. Made with easy-to-find ingredients, this recipe uses fruit cocktail, fresh buko (young coconut), and creamy Nestlé cream for a luscious texture that's not overly sweet. The combination of tropical fruits and creamy dressing makes it a light and festive dish that complements any holiday feast. Plus, it's incredibly convenient-just mix everything together, chill, and it's ready to serve! Whether you're hosting a party or just enjoying a quiet holiday meal, this fruit salad is sure to delight your guests.
Fruit Salad With Buko
Ingredients:
1 30 oz Tropical Fruit Cocktail
1 20 oz Pineapple chunks in pineapple juice
1 12 oz Jar coconut gel in syrup Nata de coco
1 15 oz Shredded coconut young buko in syrup
1 14 oz Sweetened condensed milk
2 7.6 oz Nestle table cream
¼ tsp salt
Instructions:
*Using the strainer, drain the juice out of the canned fruit and jar of coconut gel Nata de coco.
*In a large bowl, add condensed milk and nestle table cream .
*Mix the mixture using a hand mixer.
*Add ¼ tsp of salt.
*Pour drained fruits into the mixture.
*Stir well to combine.
*Add 1 cup shredded coconut.
*Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours in the fridge.
*After 2 hours, serve!

    I have to tell you for over a decade I've been using basically this same technique for both turkey and chicken and it is magical. It's made it so that people insist I do the holiday birds. The only thing I do differently is I salt the butter herb mix and rub it under the skin of the turkey 24-48 hours in advance. 🍗😍

      Thanks for the comment. It was actually part of the original recipe but I forgot to put it in. With this recipe you can add additional vegetables or take away some of them according to your taste.
