My channel has changed quite a bit over the years and seems to have settled into education-related content. As an ADHD creative person juggling an active gigging career, running my own instrument repair business, and The Bare Necesseties - eat, sleep, knit, snuggle cats, play video games, etc - it is safe to say I have about twelve-thousand things going on at any given time. Currently, I am not creating content on a regular basis but maybe one day I will! I really enjoy teaching and providing resources to help folks improve their playing.
If/when I get some time for content-creation I plan to re-do most of my early play-along videos. They were barely used by the students they were intended for but it has warmed my heart to see how many random humans have found them and benefitted from them over the years! Those were done in my apartment using the internal camera/mic of my computer and no editing at all and....well, I've learned a lot since then. I can do better.

Funeral March of a Marionette - bass part
Arrangement: sheetmusicplus.com SKU: P5.CL-ROM-4217
Bass part adapted from the cello part by me - no pitch changes, only altered octaves to make things a bit more playable for someone without an extension and tried to keep the direction of intervals intact as much as possible.
This recording is under tempo with metronome clicking eighth notes @ 200 BPM. Equivalent to dotted quarter = 66 BPM (goal =76 BPM)

I tre minuti iniziali più inutili della storia di UA-cam
Thank you so much for the video, it's super helpful❤
I can't hear you, turn your sound up. Thanks 🎻💓.
My school made me play the whole second page at like x2 speed and I failed- Not as bad as studying with this though.
What’s the speed?
wish i had the money to buy a full size bass, stayed in time and good tonal quality. keep it up!
Great stuff! Love the dynamics, raw skill, and fun nature of this.
Very cool!
Violin 2 is so much Harder😭
Your finger board is so cool! did you color it yourself or was it already like that
Thanks! I colored it myself when I took a bass setup class. The fingerboard on this poor plywood beast had never been shaped properly, so when I started that process it uncovered a maple fingerboard painted black instead of an ebony one. I asked the teachers what they typically use to re-stain a fingerboard and they said that by far the best thing they found was plain ol' boxed black hair dye from the drug store! I didn't have any of that on-hand but I had all the colors I use on my own hair so I used that and it worked just fine! My only regret is that I chose an aesthetic candy striped diagonal pattern because I never really intended to play it again but uhhh.... here I am making videos for my kiddos and occasionally sitting in to boost other local ensembles so my fingerboard is covered in light pencil markings to mark positions - WOMP. Had I known I'd have to start playing again, however rarely, I would have designed a pattern that lined up properly with various positions LOL
You didn’t talk about creating lists. Super great feature
Wow
Great to accompany a walk;
Well, I thought that was great, as are your other videos about this wonderful piece of music!

Hi. Thank you for this video. I was wondering if you could set up a "setlist" for a gig. For example, If I have 4 songs in a gig, can I set up a metronome or click track for each song that I can hear a quick que before the next song?
they make us play this and I'm in 5tn grade its so hard but I almost got it
Thank you Miss, greetings from Mexico
HI Kristi nice job. Any chance you could share a sheet with fingering written on it? thanks in advance for your help and for all these great videos. greetings from Italy . FABIO
Bravo!
This is fun.... I'm playing my guitar thru a synthesizer and overdubbing each violin in a looper........I can't read music....but I can easily follow your playing. Please do some popular tunes' string section......Yesterday....Eleanor Rigby, She's Leaving Home, As Tears Go By and some movie scores & also Air on a G string lol ......I'll post a youtube video of my efforts from your instruction .....😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 Even Spinal Tap dabbled in Classical music ua-cam.com/video/H7vk5keNbRc/v-deo.html
