tysm! I actually use the "Between Worlds" set. The cleans are on the single coil neck pickup and dirty on the hot hum bucker in bridge position. I'm sure the JMXL's are awesome for single coil tones! Black Mass does not miss!

@@ediththeband Yeah man i love the Black Mass stuff have the herald and 1312 . Was very tempted by the Between World s but my main studio/ live guitar has humbuckers and i wanted the Jmaster to be a different option. Since then every demo of the Between worlds ive heard inc yours sound amazing :) Loving the band but keep putting vids like this up as well

It is awesome on bass! I think I will have to make a video for that! I would say that it could get most of the range of an SD-1. It is surprisingly gainy on the higher end of the sweep.

Thanks! We were working on it for a song called "Your Brother, Last June" and hopefully it makes it into one of our next batch of demos. So I believe it is actually it's own type of circuit but it definitely can do bluesbreaker/transparent/tubescreamer type things.

@@ediththeband got you on yt music, specially love the song adorn! I have it on repeat. Reminds me of bands like American football, mixed with basement. Btw could you explain more how the pickup upgrade changed your playing or sound?

@@tusharkakshapati7610 thanks so much! Adorn is one of my favorites to play live. Yeah, that is totally the sound we have been after, glad to hear it comes across. I would say that I dialed in a sound that I liked and then sought out pickups that were more suited to what we do. I started on single coils, going after that American Football jangle. Once I realized how things were in EDITH, I started to change my approach though. We are a one guitar band so humbuckers started to make more sense to get a bit more weight (also using stereo amps live for the same effect). These Between Worlds pickups by Black Mass as well as the 1991 Gazing Pickups by Righteous Sound do a great job of that but still remain articulate and bright. I hope that was helpful!

Thanks so much! I actually have come around to RAT style stuff a lot. One of my favorite things to do is double track rhythm guitars on one side with a RAT style pedal and on the other side with an overdrive. Big, wide rhythm sound.

@@dektrimusic yes, I do l/r panning on rhythms. I run my pedals into Neural DSP Archetype Nolly. I have a preset I made that is basically just the Marshall style amp at a clean/edge of break up sound. I tweak that a little bit based on what pedal I’m throwing into the chain. You could also use different amps/irs on each side, same principal. I was always trying to achieve this using different guitars but ran into issues with them being intonated differently. So now I like to use the same guitar and change the rest of the chain.

I find that out of the box the sounds with Robot Dog are not as immediately great as something like GGD or Superior Drummer, even with the character knob at full mix. However, when you put yourself on the mixer page, you have more control and tweakability than any other drum library I have used. On this mix in particular I believe I adjusted the levels, panning, reverb, compression and bleed all in the internal mixer. I have some post EQ and parallel compression as well. Hope this helps!

Thanks! I really appreciate that! Last year I demo’d a lot of pedals and the fuzz war and Fairfield circuitry ~900 were by far my favorite fuzzes.

I was surprised to see I was the first comment; I came looking for info on how the pedal sounds (just bought one used), and found some really good arranging and production. It's important to acknowledge our fellow artists when we are impressed. Too many of us exist in a vacuum where no one ever gets to enjoy our craft or hear words of encouragement to move us forward. @@ediththeband

@@sklonjabs thanks again! I couldn't agree more. That type of philosophy is the way to go. I have had such a great time over the last year building a community of bands (we're in Denver, CO) and the networking/going to local shows has been SO rewarding. Making it a community rather than just trying to showboat is half the fun in my opinion. I've also met a ton of cool people in the gear world online. When you just take the time to talk to the people whose work you admire it pays dividends. :)

Absolutely! I actually have an old blue video you can check out on my page too. The old blue for me works as a perfect always on sparkly clean or edge of breakup sound. I feel like this is it’s best use for me. It works great as a clean boost, light overdrive and it can even get a little gainy on its own. The Onederbolt circuit (which is the left side of this Onederwall pedal) does not really have that character when the gain is down. It has a much more straightforward mid gain distortion sound. That’s not to say it isn’t flexible. There are some cool edge of break up sounds in there too if you turn the boost off. It just doesn’t have the sparkle that the old blue does. Hope that helps you!!!

Of course! I am using the "Hardcore Grind" kit and subbed the snare out for the "Can Brass 6.5 x 14." There is only some EQ on the drums after the plugin, otherwise I left them in the "mix ready" setting.
