    These machines seem optimal for large-run, small parts with minimal variation, or welds requiring the bare minimum heat input possible. Unfortunately, it seems like a bad match for smaller jobs where humans still out-perform because multi-tasking is still very expensive to automate. I'm curious if we will see a shift in industry towards more standardized parts and structures, compared to the current market where customer design tends to win-out over strictly designs which would be easy / profitable to run using robotics.

    if i have a fillet weld with larger leg length which requires multiple passes. how ABAGY can help us making multiple passes? do we need to stop after every pass, re-scan and give welding parameter?

    damn, i like you guy's approach on teaching how industrial robots are used, i 3d printed a little robot arm that uses GRBL and was wondering how bigger robots work... I hope i get to work on a big boi like that in the future. Also, skynet is always watching

Most any video I have found on these topics are done in a very dry boring way. Often hard to watch for any length of time. Your videos are something that is currently hard to find on UA-cam.     I hate the new cobot teach pendant it's probably easier for a new person with no former experience. But I can program so much faster with a old teach pendant. Also that camera system would never work in the real world with complex fixtures and parts where some weld paths would blocked by fixture or other parts. Also camera would get in the way and would cause clearance issues. I mean it's cute and all but not realistic

      That's rubbish. I'm a boily with 30 years in structural and non structural manufacturing. Our cobot welder has patterned programs to pump out all the rigid, high repetition mundane parts by the 1000s. We use a TA to load and unload and that frees up our welders for more complex jobs a robot can't do. The $180,000 investment paid for itself in 6 months

    I just watched this video. It's really fantastic job what you do. I've been involved for similar practices. Trying hard to achieve the Root Penetration of 1.5mm on 10mm plate. Finally, we understood that, only way to do with interval spot or LORCH SpeedUp process. The parameter are 140A, wire 4m/min, travel speed of 3mm/sec and speedup relation 30%.

Is the touch sense routine generated automatically by selecting weld? Or do we need to program touch sense routine for welds in your GUI? Can you post a video on how touch sense is programmed through your GUI? Thanks

    I know it’s not quite there yet but given it’s exponential growth , would it not kill most if not all programing jobs in about 5 years , be it web development or embedded?
