The effect must have been dramatic when they were fresh struck. I'm sure it's cool to have one in hand! Besides museum displays, and photos/catalogs, I don't know if I've ever seen a bimetallic medallion in person.
Yes, it almost has something sublime / reverent about it. The coin comes from a collector who submitted the coin to us. So it is not in my direct possession. If the prices weren't so high, I would also like to buy such a coin.
