Hey! Thanks for sharing this method! Is there a risk of damaging the blank or ungluing the grip from the rod by doing so? Boiling water vs all the coatings on the rod make me thing twice before trying this method.

Thank you so much. My 30 lb. boga sat in the bottom of my boat tool box unused for about 10 years. Some grease had solidified making it unusable. Thanks to you it now works just like new.
