Ultra Jumbo frets..?
It's very very good but it's no Blues.
Those painted on f holes are genius. ~Nobody
THREE HUMBUCKERS?
This is awesome
I hear Joey Tafolla screaming out of those strings. ✔
Love his guitar tone here in early years then these days
hes so good even the guitar quit playing
Inspiring
Immense talent
fits perfect for the ost of guilty gear
Paul is a beast
Awesome! I love this! unbelievable!
Wtf Paul! Crazyyyyyyy
If you put your hands more on the guitar than you do a woman's ass you'd be as good as Paul 😉
Such sauce emanating from this guy's hands. I'm so blown away and also motivated like never before to continue my journey of guitar excellence
I played this to Phil Emmanuel (Tommy Emmanuel’s brother) back in the early 90s and he told me to “steer clear of that American stuff”. He told me to listen to The Shadows and Johnny Diesel, people like that. All the guitar players in Australia who tried to copy American shredders failed in our music industry. The ones who are most beloved are the guitarists who play guitar as an accompaniment to singers, playing rhythm and singing backup. I prefer our Australian traditions to this flashy shred stuff now.
Ah yes, traditional Australian electric guitar 😂
having a great time here ......thanks pg ...amazing
Amidst all the fast twiddling, there is a nice melody in there somewhere!
I love this song , thank you bro
Tab for this please ?
This was a " soundpage " in Guitar Player Magazine back in 87-88 . It was a playable piece of vinal that was inserted in the magazine , tore it out and placed it on a turntable.
Reminds me of Greg Howe a bit there
Ledi ada g
ADA. Yes.
alto groove
lol...he is a sniper on the guitar and you can hear it. He wants to slow down and feel those notes oooh so badly but he has no control. It is not a bad thing, it is what makes him so amazing. You can take the Racer-X away from the guitar player but you can not take the Racer-X out of the guitar player...
Got a Batio vibe to this tune
If Paul GIlbert played in Extreme...
He played this jam on his Instructional video Vhs tape where his guitar had frills hangin off the whole neck.Badazz
Azz 🖤

..... but when did any and everything become the blues ??
this is fantastic. Paul's phrasing is always perfection. This track has a very Joey Tafolla - like vibe from the Infra Blue era. Love it.
Infra blue was a good album, why the song(a place in the sun,) taught me how to phrase with major tonalities
Paul was in fact one of Tafolla's main mentors during the shred era. And he has played 4 amazing guest solos on Joey Tafolla's legendary neo-classical album Out Of The Sun from 1987, and probably helped arrange that record too, with Tony MacAlpine.
I love paul gilbert and he's a good teacher..problem is most people don't have those chops to play what he's teaching. lol
I remember purchasing Guitar World magazine and this song being included as flexible record with the magazine. Not sure what they called them. I remember learning what I could. Great jam!
Don't see guitars w an HHH setup often.........wonder how he has it set up to get that tone and distortion....love his power and abilities........
