I got my led headlights from Amazon and I had a hard time simply trying to lift the release trigger for my 2001 Ford F150 , so when these video's show these guys doing it no problems , bull ! I had adjust the screws alot yet my became flush with grill . I like the modern look !

use the brown wire on the parking lights and connect that to the green wire on the new headlights. then black to black

I used the side lights, in the video those were the cables I cut and re crimped, x2 cables to the old bulb were crimped to the black and white cables that came seperate to the new headlight plug. This did mean you could turn on and off the DRL's but one thing I would change would be to stick a DRL sensor in so that they turned off at night.

Occassional Limp mode/loss of power

Yikes! Was everyone alright? The manual did say only for changing wheels! The sway when up in the air was hilarious and terrifying!

It takes some force to pop it back in, you can hear the thump, you don't want it to pop out when driving! The clip will be connected to the lock with a screw, did the screw fall down into the door? Or is the plastic arm still attached to the lock? @3:36

This is a really wholesome thing to hear, do you have a channel showing the repairs? I'd love to watch! Main thing that limited me was the shipping costs, new bumper = cheap, getting it shipped = x10 cost. I miss mine very much and would love to watch another being built up! Definitely the better way to do it! I learnt alot from this engine, way back then I didn't think about the wear to the starter motor or other things that could be damaged as I was starting to learn, but now, definitely do it as you've said 😁

That's how i have the lights running in my f150. The drl module aren't that expensive on Amazon/ Ebay

I've not tested personally, but had a look and believe it to be fuse 34 for a mk6 golf, however this also supplies other 'engine control elements', worth checking 👍

Thanks! Have you done a full cabinet or a half cabinet? Once the door is cut out, it no longer has the tension in the steel bands to pull the wood tight, not a problem for a half barrel but the full barrel has the rest of the wood pulled in tight. Yes you're on the right track! That would work, I'd suggest trying this first: use a ratchet strap to pull the doors back into their original curve, then screw a curved support on the inside of the door to permanently hold the shape, you can use spare steel banding!

Depending on how you wire it up, the daytime running lights stay on with the headlight bulb which comes as an LED projector bulb 👍

A truly eternal engine that is very forgiving! - I believe there's a supercharger kit for it that fits perfectly!

I had mine wired to the parking lights (first switch option), i liked the option to turn them off, but you could wire them to a spare (fused) relay output so they turn on with the ignition. 👍

As wide as you like, as long as the barrel is wide enough! On the barrels I use the doors are approximately 25cm wide each, leaving a 50cm gap

Hello! thank you, I understand what has happened, Those are Tek screws, take a look at ua-cam.com/video/liw9SQhGAz4/v-deo.html around 3:32, on how to install them, they hold the bands tight with the oak for cutting the barrels in half, or cutting doors!

After completing some research online, it would appear the headlights would fit sizewise, but the brackets/mounting points are different and will need modifying
