Wow. What a wonder of a song this is. Meat was such a complex record. Critics tried to pan it at the time. They picked on Morrisey's virtue signalling with the vegetarian thing. The record is a testament to youth. You can feel their youthful energy more in this record than any other, other than maybe their first one released in N America, Smiths 1984, just because it's a personal favourite of mine.

I tried to sing along with the song, then I realized how great Morrissey is as a singer.

One of my favourite songs from the smiths, my father passed away this year unexpectedly on may 18 , I was with him and completely devastated, when I was a teenager I played this song for him and he always liked it and said the singer has a nice voice and he loved the lyrics. This song brings back memories and I miss my father so much. Love you dad.
