oil can tend to leak, grease will still provide the necessary lubrication needed, and is less likely to leak, and has been used by many like this for years with no issue which is why I used grease, If your seals and gaskets are perfect then a thick oil would be better.

@Mgtowfreedom I have just returned from a 2 weeks road trip where I was using 24/7 non-stop to charger the AC70 and run the Fridge. Did seem to get Hot and we were in a Hot climate, too. As for cost, there are any combination setups you can make best checking their web page.

It has a fan but I imagine that it will get pretty hot in the Aussie outback.

@scottandchels6813 no issues so far 6 weeks of testing, including 2 weeks of 24/7 running while travel up North Queensland, Hot temperatures, work perfectly.

@tjr2208 have you tried adjustment the position by until doing the bolts?

Or the locks might try both but mine don't have much wiggle room an I've tried the up and down motion on the tabs my two don't even meet up on both doors so the notch meets on the two tabs you bolt together yet the factory old stuff besides being rusted and shagged works perfect 😑

@TheBTG88 They have PTFE bushes. I have used ptfe in hard wearing industrial applications, and it lasts long and wears better than brass.

@MH-re3kb That would be very useful in this situation! The long ratchet spanner was great. It would be perfect if it had a kick bent into it.

@donnareed3822 The doors are tricky. The passenger door on Minty still needs adjustment to get right. What I did with Sam (1965 fj45) was install the door, then loosen the hinge bolts, and use a small ratchet strap to pull just past the correct position (to allow for drop) then tighten all the bolts, removed straps and tested the door. The inside bolts are the hardest. This was done while no seats or wiring was in. The rubber seals will also play a big part in doors sitting correct. Some aftermarket rubbers are not soft and push against the door when closing. Hope all this makes sense.

@djmips I did think of that, but I only had half a day to get them on. Under the hinge wasn't bare. It was the old original paint colour. It's in the one day list to do
