The reason I need PPD is to get the piston to push me over the invisible wall at 9:02 (I do the same thing at 4:16, but this one is just to help make the route easier).

It's to hop over an invisible trigger that would have destroyed the orange portal in the first puzzle. Since we maintain this portal, the orange portal that appears in the second puzzle links with the orange portal from the first puzzle (which becomes a blue portal).

So, in the description, the term PPD is used. This stands for Player Physics Deformation and refers to the following hitbox jank: The Source engine gives the player 2 hitboxes. One is a static one, a cuboid that usually interacts with level geometry and is used for walking around, and the other is used for interacting with physics objects like when the player is standing on a box. The game switches between which one it uses for calculations based on what the player is doing or touching. They usually are on top of one another but it is possible to get the physics hitbox to rotate, so if you were to look at both hitboxes at once, one of them would be leaning over. This allows for some very weird jank, I assume related to the blue gel somehow. Krzyhau's video titled "The Greatest Timesave." shows this in action.

I actually think I had the turret come to the platform and caught it on one of my few playthroughs. I were confused as what I needed to use it for.
You need the turret to glitch against the platform in the perfect way to be launched back without any portals which is MUCH more rare
Did you get there without the portals or move the portals before it came? I think it’s a 1/30,000 chance for that to happen or smth like that.
