Does this disable remote start?

If you disconnect that switch, your check engine light comes on. I’m a mechanic you have to go to the dealership. You have to hook the computer up to it to shut it off.

Hello, is it possible to disconnect the modules of each door so that it stops ringing or would it continue ringing and the warning sound?

Man I’m at the halfway point. With paying my car off. As soon as the warranty expires. This shit starts to happen. Every blue moon it’s shut off. When I’m at a stop. Whole dashboard display goes dark. Radio cuts off and everything. Then starts back up like it never happened. I’m at the point to where I don’t trust this car. And drive around paranoid.

Is there one for the 2019 Hybrid!

I have a 17 Malibu. My independent repair shop wants $404 to replace this light.

Dumb question for anyone who's done this. does the headliner just push back up pretty easily? Obviously if the headliner is pulled down far enough, it makes this job easier.

I had the same problem with mine. The bolt on the light broke in the plastic and it cause the water leaking. I put windshiel urethane and it done!

Yeah, disconnect this cable as long as you want your Check engine light to come on, yes😂😂😂

Hey so I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu and I do it on the front driver and passenger good and the back passenger is good but when I get to the back driver one it does not seem to honk does that mean the tire sensor is bad?when my tire pressure came on and it was blank on the tire pressure it was the front driver one but that one is finding the signal fine. Do you think the tire sensor bad ?

IMO PLEASE DON'T DO THIS. If you do the check engine light is going to eventually come on and give you a code saying that there is a problem with the hood latch. You definitely won't pass an emissions test like that by the way. I understand what this guy is trying to do but he's not explaining the problems that will happen afterwards.

This does work to shut off the auto stop, but also disables remote start if your malibu has it my fianes does.

That's all good and dandy if you're car can start.

Mine only comes on after driving for about 5 min maybe got loose or it’s faulty?

I tried this on my 2018 Equinox and it worked, however, the Check Engine light did come on (after a while) and it bothered me. I bought a “jumper” wire on Amazon for $14.92 and proceeded to install it. But first, I wanted to make the Check Engine light go out. I hooked-up my OBDII code reader (hoping to clear the codes) but it must be outdated for this car bc it didn’t work right. I then tried the old method for getting the ECM to reset itself to factory specs by disconnecting the NEG battery terminal for 10-minutes. At the same time, I reconnected the original wiring (without the jumper) hooked the NEG terminal up and started the car. The Check Engine light was OUT. I was going to get it back to normal (shutting off at stops) THEN install the jumper cable to eliminate that function and still prevent the Check Engine light from coming on. I set about test driving the car in a manner I’ve read for allowing the ECM to reset itself (but here’s what I did wrong) When I put the car in gear, I dropped it into L (low) out of force-of-habit and clicked the + button 5 times to put the car in LOW 6. I pulled out and immediately realized I had wanted to start out in D (drive) so before it shifted, I pushed the gear stick up to D. Guess what? The car doesn’t shut off at stops AND the hood wire is connected and there’s no jumper in the line. I decided to run the car for a while to see if it begins to shut off again.

It seems my blind spot sensor is on the frame of the back bumper on my 2013 Escape titanium . It has 3 different plugs that go into it . Guessing it wont beep if cars are coming by when backing up . Or people walking by. And it also won't parallel park because the sensors in the bumper say you're on your own! When i ask it to specify the problem it says. You figure it out. 😂 Damn car is smart but it can be replaced! 👀
