They are trying to control the size of the batteries to keep people from putting them big boy batteries in it… I just put new straps in mine with a center strap running long ways up the battery. Works perfectly

How much of a difference, Philly? I bought a max6 5 years ago to put in my XMaxx - its still in the box. The guy I bought my X from was bashing it on 18/50t - thought it would have killed the stock esc.

Ran mine tonight for the first time, runs pretty good. Fast. Some of the landings were rough but got an email from redcat about sending me new shocks. Overall; its a beast!

I'm not in love with the shocks on mine. Neither the fluid or springs. Other than that and it running pretty warm it's a great truck. I love that it looks like my Vigilante has a little bro.
