Hey man ! I gotta ask you about the phones input : for some reason it doesn’t work on my dl 1608 . I mean, everything works perfectly but when I plug my headphones and turn the gain of the input all the way there is no any sound in headphones . Maybe you can help me with that issue ? Hi Ben thanks so much for these vids. I have upgraded my DL32r to Masterfader 5 and I can not access any offline shows. When I select offline shows there are none of my previous shows or snapshots available to look at. I have to connect to the Dl32r to see any of these. Do you know why that is??? Also, I like to select “used channels” for my mixer view as opposed to “all” in the right hand column. But everytime I connect to the mixer, all the channels show in my mixer view, even though I’ve saved these shows with “used channels as my mixer view. Can you help me please?? Thanks Scott.

One feature that I'd likke to see is a fader time in the software much like we use on our ATEM camera mixers. This time would be used to fade from one snapshot to another. What we find now is that the abrupt change from snapshot to snapshot can be heard in the streamed output.

Hi, is there a possibility to create a side chain between two channels with the effect, that e.g. pre-specified frequencies of the bass channel will be lowered 6dB just at the moment the kick drum is hit ? Another pusage of this side chain could be a lowering of sound pressure level of the guitar right at the moment the voice is using this frequency too.

Hi Sir, thanks so much for the impartation of knowledge to us here. I must say, i have really enjoy every bit of your tutorials. But can you please make a tutorial solely on Matrix, Routing and the essential use of Return 1-2, 3-4 on the master fader 5 for us?

But, how do Access Limits get applied to the specific band member’s iPhone and/or get associated with a specific Aux?

If you are running IEM's in stereo, dont forget to give the band members access to Pan and Devices incase they need to reconnect to the mixer.

Such a useful and informative video! I do have a request. I’m having a tough time finding a tutorial for connecting other devices. Such as IEMs to the main board (and the phone/tablet) which is a Mackie dl16s.

I gave this video a thumb down because you can't copy your settings to other device when you buy the same product from mackie you have to start over in a new dl serious for example you can't take your setting from a 1608 and go buy a new dl mackie and copy your hard work and transfer over to your new mackie dl I think you should drag your setting on a computer and then drag and drop into your new dl mixer then copy and paste from your tablet

Ben, a very interesting clip and set of instructions. It is also great after all these years (approx 2007/2008) since being one of your beta testers for the fabulous TT24, to finally be able to put a face to the voice. The old TT24 and snake were simply left to rot (mouse/rat urine and humidity mold) when the theatre was closed for (supposedly upgrading) but was never re-opened. David G

Ben, in the MackieDLusers-Group on facebook I saw several questions about the use of the FXs. Think this is something a lot new users struggle with. For me it seems that they often do not understand the difference between the FX send and the returns. From my perspective this is a minor issue in Master Fader that the SEND and the RETURN are not labeled - in the standard view they both are only labeled FX1, FX2. Maybe a video about FX could help some users to understand how they work.

How cool is this? I was never aware that I could copy + paste between different snapshots. Man I wish I knew this before.....great tips!

I think it would be interesting to address in one of the next videos the details that involve the rescue of Shows, Snapshots (channel safes) and other resources that you find interesting to discuss. There are many users (me for example) who are afraid to use these resources during an event, and because of that we ended up not taking advantage of the resources of this important utility.
