We have to listen to ourselves because just a little thing as giving up your shawl probably made a big difference in that person life, and like you said you can always crochet more😊. You are very talented to be able to make your own vest and sweater without a pattern. I'm just happy that I can read someone pattern and it turns out the way the picture looks😂 Can't wait to see your progress next week.

You are so fortunate that you can successfully follow patterns. I need tutorials and even then i get lost, especially when they want you to go back in the video to go forward in your work.

Loved hearing you ramble! My most hopeful crochet projects were baby blankets and baby clothes that I made 15+ years ago. I'm finally (expecting) hoping to meet my first baby in a few months, at 42 years old! Hope can be so fragile and vulnerable, there were definitely many years between then to now where I didn't have the strength in my heart to make more baby things--but I also couldn't give/gift those old projects away--they were always made for my future, hoped-for, child. And thankfully, those blankets, and I, haven't given up.

I knit/crochet/craft during work meetings. Luckily, I work from home, and we usually have cameras off, so no one knows! And that's the thing, no one knows because I'm engaged with the meeting, talking, listening, responding as much as my coworkers. I've found some times I don't have a project at hand during a meeting, and I tend to drift into multitasking with other work, which usually ends up taking my mental focus more away from the meeting. Crafting is "just enough" to keep my brain fully engaged, without taking away from work. I don't attend church much, but if/when I do, I do like to bring a small and simple project along to work on. I'm not very good at listening (lol) and working with my hands seems to help me focus better on what's being said.

"Accidental pumpkins" is going to carry me through my Monday. 😂 thank you Mary! Everything is gourd-jous, and can you please remind me which shawl you're wearing?

I keep getting distracting by "shiny new" projects too. I still need to finish my crochet top for Fall before Fall is over 😅We lost power for 5 days because of hurricane Milton and so I actually had a lot of time to crochet, but I worked on about four different projects at a time and never really finished anything. But watching you reminds me how we get things done eventually, and not to stress and enjoy the process! 😊

Beautiful shawl. You inspired me with your wearables so I too am using the Nova yarn on one of the shawls you’ve done, the Weekender Shawl. It’s working up beautifully and I’m using a J hook with it. However I would love to know how you block your shawls since they will have a wider span than say a granny square. Do you think you could show us that sometime? 🙂
