It is a great video, concise and to the point

You’re grasping at straws if you have to bring in Charlie Chaplin (Kennington). The reality is that the high rise Luxury Apartments are largely Chinese owned and most are empty. There’s an over representation of Chinese Nationals in Elephant Park, none of whom appear to work or study. The adjacent Social Housing supplies a ‘vibrancy’ ie phone robbing.

The Spoons pub has been renovated too. Much nicer than it was.

If you want to have a functioning city you have to build new housing and shops where people want them though. If everything stayed the same nothing would ever happen. Gentrifcation isn't real, its just the underlying supply and demand that's gone wrong.

The problem is that the area is over run with Immigrants and has high violent crime. And to add insult to injury, many of these new apartments are given free to these migrants, and the money has been borrowed and guaranteed by the state, so the cost goes on in to the future....like the crime.

Still a foreign hell hole which is dangerous at night...

I used to live near the Elephant and Castle at Queens Buildings near Borough back in the 60s it’s a Big change from them days but the down side of all this the locals are being REPLACED and once there gone the place is not the same.the culture and the way of life is gone I remember the Jelled ell man coming around and the coal man thous were very fond memories our country is changing fast and I don’t think is for the better I know things don’t stay the same for ever but we are being OVER RUN by other CULTURES and RELIGIONS and are TAKING OVER our COUNTRY and our traditions and way of life as we know it are being destroyed and nobody CARES.
