Preparing your soil and planting pansies
Fall leaves are half down in Piedmont, North Carolina. The maples are done, but the oaks are still dropping. On the lookout for the galanthus popping through a river of leaves. Are you near chanticleer?
Thanks for watching. I’m about an hour away.
Sweet channel dig your videos, Rich. Thanks for making compelling content. Your efforts are appreciated. Also Dope yard bro 👍
Glad you like them!
Very nice video! I like your 4 room concept! I garden in France, my home country. In Burgundy, the soil is rocks, rocks and more rocks..Great for grapes, not cool for cottage gardens. I have managed a sweet garden anyway in the last 3 years. The neighbors are a bit shocked by it, or fall in love with it. Since it is MY garden, it will stay as is. You are so right! Your garden, your choice, even if it is celeriac welcoming you on the parking lot..Let them talk! I like your version of a garden! Nice job!
Hello from chapel hill nc. We are a bit too far south for tulips to do well in the ground. I used to buy interesting tulip blends for a really large terra-cotta containers and then compost them in spring. Looked amazing but also $$$. .
Thanks for sharing
Beautiful. Just found your channel. Wonderful information as I begin a new garden at age 65..lol.

Great video! Lifelong gardener here, just bought my first house and am establishing a suburban homestead garden. I’m prioritizing the edible garden which is heavily informed by my background in horticulture, eg I’m experimenting with a blackberry espalier against the fence.
Sounds great!. Let us know how it goes
That sounds so amazing, I didn’t know that you could espalier blackberry, I may try it now!

@@RichsWorld-bz3vu I love topiaries and fabulous, ornate gardens.
Thank you
The honesty is refreshing what needs alot of work vs what needs are little.😊
I agree with you on winter color. I live in northern Indiana and I plant evergreens exclusively. I have holly’s, arborvitae’s and boxwoods. I like that you do not just hype the plants and that you give the negatives.
thanks for your comment. Yes, the pros and cons are so important when planning your garden
I loved the Cedar from Japan too ☺️ it is interesting for sure haha

So true. Knockout are very motivating. Mine help me take care of the others better, they’re dependable and bloom continuously so even if the others are not performing as well, the knockouts encourage me to still come into the garden and wonder at the beauty of the rose ❤ 🌹
ZD rose, 20 years? Mine is one year and they are 5x bigger
My two Zepherine Drouhin were 12 feet in two years and covered a pergola and arbor in 3 years!
