Great hunt. Convex flat button is a bit of an oxymoron... I think it would be a convex one piece button, lol.
That is correct, I got into a habit of calling one piece buttons flat buttons
Minor threat for a theme song…. Good choice
You had some awesome finds. Those Indians were beautiful and that large cent was lovely. I love the buttons. The infantry button was amazing! 💖💯
Thanks! It was a very fun trip
Nice large cent. After years and years detecting in Michigan I got my first large cent this year scuba diving in Lake Huron. 1830 You had a great hunt, very fun to watch. I'm subscribing.
Did you dive with a detector? That sounds fun
@BugeaterMetalDetecting Yes, it's a blast but takes a ton of effort, hope I can continue to do it as I'm getting old .
Great finds 😊 congrats on Largie 👊🏼
Thanks!
Excellent recoveries there, Gotta Love It!
I sure do love it!
Nice one young man keep them finds coming deus 11all the way From raining Cornwall uk 😊
Thanks!
Nice hunt thank you so very much for sharing hope you have a wonderful weekend 👍👍❤️
Thanks! Hope you have a great weekend too
Great hunt - coins in remarkably good condition.
Thanks! Sandy soil in MI preserves copper coins very well
Nice work guys!!!
Thanks!
My wife and I recently discovered your channel, and are greatly enjoying it. We are probably among the few who understand the "Bugeater" reference, being from Nebraska! We read a book called, "The Prairie Logbooks" by Lieutenant J. Henry Carleton which chronicles an 1844 Dragoon troop's trip from Ft Leavenworth to a large group of Pawnee Villages around the confluence of the Loup and Platte Rivers. They then went east along to Platte to Belleview, then across the river for an easier return to Ft Leavenworth. Maybe a connection to the button you found!
Most definitelt a connection! That dragoon troop visited the very site I hunted in this episode, and camped there for the winter in 1850-1851 after the Pawnee tribe moved out following a small pox outbreak in 1849. I live in Bellevue and through research learned the Twin Creek movie theater was built over top of a village site, so if the parking lot ever gets redone I will be taking my detector through.
You found some really cool stuff. That civil war button was nice broken or not. That Indian was beautiful and the little ring was pretty. I hope you had a great trip. 💖💯
I cant get over how u manage to still find old places. Im just struggling in the norfolk area
Nice hunt
Awesome finds, I'm a Missouri boy, if your ever back in the neighborhood, holler!!
What area? I go to St Louis for work sometimes, and that's a great excuse for a weekend of MO detecting.
@@BugeaterMetalDetectinga little south of Springfield
Great saves Ryan, it is always fun venturing off to different areas for a hunt. Thanks for sharing
Thanks! Next week will be the first of 2 videos from my trip to MI last weekend. Quite possibly the best weekend of digging I have ever had 😉
@@BugeaterMetalDetecting looking forward to watching.
Not a bad video! Cant wait to see what comes next😎
Bro you already know what comes next......
1 ounce fishing weight what part of Jersey out of curiosity? i am in DEL and it literally has not rained in mid/southern jersey and northern DEL for almost 2 months.....NONE at all :(((((
O yes hope your well time for a good catch up 👍 hopeing all the family are well 😊😊😊
Don't have a family but I am doing well! There is a possibility I could go to Wrexham, UK for work later this year or early next year.
NIce work Bugeater! Why so many States? Travelling for work?
Yeah, I do field service and installation of robotics used for analytical chemistry so I travel a lot.
You had a pretty decent trip with several good spots to hunt. Great finds from every location!!
Thanks! I travel a lot for work and I always bring my machine. Hoping to get my detecting permit for Germany since I visit an OEM in Bremen once or twice a year.
That 3 ringer would be a .69 caliber
Rosery
Super cool hunt Ryan. Pulling loads from well stomped parks good on you and Ted. Love that beautiful Barber.
why is it they all look like they are coming out of the same hole? Just saying. That's what I see.
I was walking my property and hillside I caught eye of a coin. Like the day it was dropped. No digging, no metal detecting, etc. I put it in the safe, but then the safe got stolen (ouch). Should have left it hillside and it would still be there. It was a V nickel. 1800's.
Rangers where I live in Kentucky, run me out of local parks. Pretty much out of detecting now! Good luck!
I wonder if people dug a bunch of big holes and didn't fill them back in the early days of detecting. Out in the midwest parks are fair game, though I had to get a cheap permit for Omaha.
@@BugeaterMetalDetecting I began detecting In 1975 in Forest Park, St. Louis. Once I had a Mounted Policeman get off his horse and spent 2 hours watching and learning how to detect. But in Louisville it was reported that archeologists didn't want people stealing "history"!
They want it to rot in the ground forever? If they're concerned about history just do what the UK does where you have to report finds and either just get them back later, or get a payout if it's museum-worthy
Live in Erie pa, that's pretty cool!
Thanks!
Congrats on the Barber dime. Detected one park in Omaha (late70s-early 80s) when I lived in Bellevue. This park yielded a gold wedding ring, a transportation token from Fairbury, Ne. and a seated dime. The dime was laying in a small pile of dirt on top of the ground. At first, I thought it was play money. Forty years later, the newer machines are going to get the coins we missed back then.
I've still never found a seated in an Omaha park. Though I did find one in a yard in Millard and another at an empty lot in the ghetto. It's astonishing how powerful the modern machines are. My Deus 2 will usually give a solid signal on a penny or dime at 12 inches, or in another case a barber quarter directly underneath a pull tab (it gave me 2 separate tones that alternated instead of a single mixed tone like older machines).
Horseshoe fob is the winner of the day.
I'm not sure whether I liked that or the commemorative token for the bank skyscraper
Well done bro! Ocngratulations on that sweet silver! We wish u many morehappy huntings in future! bBig support from new friends and followers, a metal detecting couple from southern Europe!
Thanks! I'm hoping I end up in the UK at some point soon (I travel a lot for work). If I do, I'm planning on taking one of those detecting excursions.
1963-S Roosevelt dime? 😂
Always nice to clean up the local parks. Plus, Silver in the hole, Gotta Love It!
Cleaning local parks from silver :)
Lots of trash pickup on these hunts.
Nice hunt. I’ve been having some really good luck in Omaha parks this year. Silver coins are getting harder and harder to find.
If there is several bugeaters... there will be no silver left :))
Thanks! Apparently they are still out there.
Nice silver
Thanks!
great video bug brotha
Thanks!
Not 100% positive but I believe the u shaped ink you found are commonly referred to by collectors as tug boat inks. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks for the ID! I'm hoping I can pull a similar one next time out at the dump
How do you find the place yo hunt for relics.
This one was in a ravine in a public park that people have been excavating for decades.
Thank you for replying
Good luck on your other relic hunts
Nice bottle recovery.
Thanks!
I would be interested in the council bluffs bottle. The year my great grandparents immigrated there from Denmark. Also my other great grandparents settled in Missouri Valley around that time. Lot of ancestors buried there.
I'm sorry, none of the bottles we dig are for sale because I do not wish to profit from our digs. However, I know if you search for that bottle online you should be able to find one. If I find one online for sale, I will copy the link as a reply to your comment.
Congrats! Love watching you guys work the old dump, Gotta Love It!
It's a nice break from listening to tones on the metal detector all day
That pistol is cool! Pulled a brass frame from a Whitney rimfire out of a creek in july. Sadly barrel and cylinder were rusted away.
Still very cool!
Awesome finds! Sure missed your videos! Beautiful way to repurpose that jug! Thanks for the fun video. From your friends in central Nebraska 😊
Thanks! My end goal is to turn my house into a museum-airbnb for when I'm traveling for work.
New phone? You don't sound 11 years old anymore. Nice crock.
Nope same phone, good to know I sound younger. Makes me feel better about being nearly 30.
Nice hunt! Did you check that 1864 Indian head cent for the designers' initial "L" ?
How about looping us in on a live dig.
Check out my MI episode, I did a few for my friend Chandler. I almost always forget because when I go out digging, it's always about metal detecting first and filming second.
Wht program are u using?
I use a custom program, one day soon I'll share it in a video
luwar biyasa bang mntap metal Kren 👍👍👍👍
Awesome silver spill!! The marble looks like a Vitro "Tiger Eye"
Cool...just a heads-up on future (old coin finds): I think it's in your interest to NOT rub the coins - esp. w/the gritty/sandy soil. By doing so, if there's any rarity value to the coin, rubbing it w/sandy soil/fingers drastically reduces its value. Just pour some water instead; until you get home...then use very gentle procedures till you know what you have. Thanks again. Cool coins!
