30 minutes before I finished Five little pigs and honestly I completely didn't expect it will be your first, maybe cause I didn't enjoy it as I could. Only my opinion, but to me, It was just - mostly the first half of book - too protracted and although the finding out of the murderer is quite surprising, It doesnt gets the needed impact I would like and which was for example at ABC murders. Also the characters didnt so worked, how they could be and the storytelling was too conversing for me. At some moments even repetetive. I respect your opinion, by it wasnt my cup of cofee. Thanks for video, I will try other ones. Now I want read Towards zero, I think it names like that. Sorry for mistakes in my text, I am not good at English. PS: There also missed Hastings!

Absolutely love Nemesis - filled with surprises. The bits of Miss Marple's muddled thinking are charming. And the mystery is surprisingly dark.

Just recently discovered your channel and really loving it! I've been watching a lot of your older videos too and finding great history recommendations. Thanks so much. This month became my first Tudortember and I'm really on a Tudor kick right now. I'm reading Nicola Tallis' biography of Margaret Beaufort, Innocent Traitor by Alison Weir, and The Boleyn King by Laura Andersen - that one is alternative history and really fun so far. I also read this month a new biography of Anne Boleyn called Thorns, Lust and Glory: the Betrayal of Anne Boleyn, have you read it at all? It focuses a lot on her time at the French court and is an interesting take.

i do admire (and am envious of!) your ability to efficiently sort through and pass forward your surplus 7 books on a regular basis. I have tried following your example recently but could only manage 3! At least I've started though. Now 3 will have to be my lucky number. Love to Pup pup.

American here. Never heard of a chip butty but there is a restaurant chain in my state of Pennsylvania that has popular sandwiches that are basically that but with deli meat, cheese, and tomato in addition to the chips (which we call fries). I do however put crisps on my sandwiches, particularly on peanut butter sandwiches to add some crunch and saltiness, although I don’t think that’s common here.

I like how you read a whole series for TudorTember, and I like how this series sounds. I'm not familiar with the history of these particular people. I'd say I have very surface level knowledge of Tudor history in general, but I do love finding fictional Tudor books that are easy to get into.

Just starting to dip my toes into British History. With so many Edwards, Richards, Marys and Elizabeths, I will surely never get it straight! But still finding it fascinating thanks to Alison Weir 👏 Thank You for Tudor-tember!

Another fact is although he was a minor, Edward is the first Protestant ruler of England. Some think it was his father but as we know Henry died a Catholic, he just didn't want the Pope dictating to him

Thanks Lil 🌺 Always important facts to note as Edward and his reign kinda gets forgotten about at times. Yes it was sad Edward died young but I think England was spared what could've turned out to be the Protestant version of Mary. That goes for Jane Grey also. Both her and Edward seemed very cold for ones so young. Edward could've been a tyrant like his father. I think it's a shame though that we really don't get any historical fiction books from Edwards POV. Thought Alison Weir may have wrote one in her Tudor Rose series but no.......
