These weren't my best laps from the weekend, but they're the ones I was happiest with. I had a couple of 2:02 and 2:03 yesterday but I couldn't really repeat that. Today I had an instructor with me, which helped a lot. I feel like I can do 2:04 - :05 hopefully repeatably now. I was also trying to stay in 3rsd gear through T11, but I don't think I'm carrying enough speed for that to be faster. I'll try 2nd through there next time.

Today I got to check off one of my dream items from my bucket list, which was to drive a Ferrari on a racetrack. I had a blast, Speed Vegas has a good setup here and I had a great instructor. Not too concerned about lap times, this was my second session at this track (started the day in a 991 3RS), and I've never driven it in a sim either.

My car generates a throttle position data channel via OBD2, but I don't get brake position data, only a 0/1 off/on signal. From sim racing, I know how useful it is to be able to see your brake trace, and see if you're releasing the brakes smoothly or not. A quick test to see if I can get an approximate brake trace by plotting the longitudinal G force. I found a post on the TrackAddict forum which said it auto calibrates the phone position at the start of each recording session, and the X axis data channel will always have the longitudinal G forces. And the app has a generic time graph widget, so I thought I'd try it out. Works pretty well I think.

      Race Render, which is the companion PC app for the Track Addict phone app. Someone on their forum created this template that mimics the Porsche gauge cluster, I started with that and then modified the code/widgets a bit.

      Thanks! I'm using TrackAddict on an Android phone, with a BT OBDII dongle and external GPS. The overlay is done with the TrackAddict companion PC application, Race Render. Someone on their forum created a custom template that mimics the Porsche gauge cluster look, and I thought it would be fun to use that :) Video is from a GoPro 12.
