Can I ask what cymbals we see you playing incl. hi hats? I tend to think better drummers can make most cymbals sound good, but with jazz there’s always something about the wash and the articulation where less is more. Like I don’t really know why you would have more than two cymbals that you can ride and crash on, but that’s not exactly how the industry sells them. Maybe that’s what the problem is.
Nothing better than a jazz drummer who can rip while making seem like second nature. I’m a avant- noise and punk/rock fan, but drummers like you are a cut above the fray. That snare is so tight!
