The warm, comforting aroma and taste of freshly baked whole wheat bread, elevated with the wholesome goodness of oats and the sweetness of honey. This Whole Wheat Bread with Oats and Honey Recipe is perfect for sandwiches, toast, or simply enjoyed on its own.
Ingredients: (1 cup = 200 ml)
1 Cup Oats (used Quaker Oats) Soaked in 1 Cup Hot Water for 10 to 15 minutes
2 Tbsp Honey
2 ½ Tsp Dry Yeast
¾ Cup Warm Water
2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour (can use All-purpose flour too)
1 ½ Tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Butter for kneading
1 Tbsp Milk for milk wash
Little Oats for Topping
1 Tbsp Butter for brushing after baking
Bake in pre-heated oven with both heating coil at 180 degrees centigrade for 35 to 40 minutes or till its brown and the below of the pan sounds hollow. Keep an eye on the bread after 30 minutes as all oven Varies.
Remains good at room temp for 3 to 4 days, keep in fridge if you need to store for longer time.
