What is right on the Lords side to punish someone for doing something even not aware of being wrongdoing? Thought: there would be innocent people died because of the pleage?! About barren woman in that time. It is known in history that in that time man had woman for pleasure/beauty and for getting kids. They didn't like woman who had given birth, because they weren't beauty anymore. Woman did drink a mixure to avoid pregnacy. Maybe this was the case with Sarah too? Then later the same thing happened again with Sarah and the king of Gerar, just in the year before she became pregnant by the promise of the Lord! I'm new and have been enjoying this podcast! I'm still early on in this, but wanted to stop to make this comment. I believe I can help you with understanding of the sacrifices made by the early patriarchs. I appreciate your confusion in this matter, and only in recent years have I begun to understand it myself because they don't teach this in church. But your Bible explains it very well, and as you guys are going line by line through the old testament in this study, perhaps you will come to see it soon. It says in the Torah (first 5 books) that God's law is eternal, meaning that it always existed and always will, just as God himself is eternal. His law is simply his way. Adam all the way through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all knew and understood Yah's Torah. It wasn't written down officially and codified until Moses, but it was always there. Cain and Able's sacrifices were likely Firstfruit offerings, scholars believe, based on the wording in the original Hebrew. Churches don't acknowledge this or teach it, even though the Bible does, because it would reveal the lies of their dispensational theology. But Yah's Torah is for all of humanity ("whosoever" Jn3:16), not just for the Jews, and it is for all time, not just for the years between Moses and Jesus. Remember Noah taking into his ark 1 pair of unclean and 7 pairs of clean animals? It was because even he was equipped with Yah's Torah (instructions)! Yah bless!
