    24v motorguide? Where did u put another battery and how did u pull larger wire to accommodate the 24v?

    • @MittenFisher
      @MittenFisher Місяць тому

      @Paul-c9m Will need to upgrade your bank charger from a 2 and maybe relocate depending where it's installed. But battery is side ways so turn it the same way as the other one and it can move towards the front of the boat and another can go in the middle.

      @@MittenFisher how did u pull the larger wire to accommodate the 12 v, as it seems the 170’s only have #10 awg 105c wire, and according to what I found, it’s not heavy enough, it will eventually burn up the trolling motor

    Thank you for the video. However, I have a question. On my pro 170, water gathers under the seat where the fire extinguisher, light, and paddle are kept. Is there a drain in that compartment? I believe all the water does not drain out through the drain in front of the seat and then seeps into that compartment. Any ideas?

    • @MittenFisher
      @MittenFisher 2 місяці тому

      @dreamabromfield7734 when you pull the plug in the rear, does any water come out? Might have a small hairline crack letting water in. Follow the weld lines and look for small cracks. They are lifetime warranty so they'll fix anything. But the boat would sit for awhile until they fixed it.

    From what I have been able to find out about the Mepps spinners on the top trays is they are pre 1960. I know 1958 had "British French Patent, US pend" on the blades.1960 Mepps say "British Patent, Brevete France' on the blade. I am guessing that that ones in the bottom on the green cards are probably from the 1970s. None of this is etched in stone. Just my best guess. I hope this helps. P.S. its just pronounced DARE DEVIL. A play on the spelling becuase some people back in the day would not buy them with the word DEVIL was on them. lol

    I got 3 spinning reels. All under 10 dollars. Definitely comparable to like Shakespeare or mid tier quality. Sizes run small. A temu 2000 isn't a usa 2000 in my experience. But I will be using for my muddy bank spots for crappie. Don't like tossing my nice gear down in the dirt and no matter how much I try to keep it clean...it always requires break down and service each trip but these temu will definitely get the "moped" treatment...gets the job done but don't want your friends seeing you with them....I'm still catching hell using lew's from my snobby buddy that insist his 700 dollar combo and his comically absurd amount of gear only ever seen on basspro mannequins makes the angler...but I've passed countless people all decked out in top of the line everything. Looking lost as I pass in blue jeans and cowboy boots. Soaking wet without wadders consistently carrying stringers of walleye, crappie,brown trout out the river....but if asked they're just checking the flow or testing a new pole not really trying to catch anything. My favorite move is asking if they'd like advice...the smugg type starts rattling off excuses. The elitist ignore and can't be bothered as if they were on point executing a flawless game plan. Very rarely one will admit the obvious...accept advice and the cold hard truth....they're not ready for walleye....you don't start with walleye...try bass. Its the gateway tugg

      @WolfsDE Рік тому

      @@MittenFisher I haven't been able to find bobber stoppers at my local Walmart. I will have to see if they have them elsewhere. It is catching on the split shot being below the bobber. I was wondering if I should find bobber stoppers for this reason or if there is a trick I am not doing right on it.

    • @WolfsDE
      @WolfsDE Рік тому

      @@MittenFisher Possibly. I am not sure. I appreciate any advice. I will try to see how a bobber stopper works below the bobber, let you know and if that doesn't work, maybe I try something else, maybe a bigger sinker, maybe a different set up, I don't know. Because I do get more catches on bluegill, crappie, rock bass, redear sunfish, when I have a bobber. I get more catches on largemouth bass, catfish, carp, small mouth bass, etc without it. I have noticed that pattern so far. Also, do you know of any scents that don't involve oils for bass? I didn't realize oil based scents don't work (because of the oil not mixing with water, which I didn't even think about). So anything that can help scent wise to increase the odds of catching bass is helpful.

    I bought the same exact boat but a 2020. I was nice if the water was glass but anything over a 1 foot chop she would beat the hell out of you. I put a 80lb troll on it it was great more power than you need. But last year I sold it after owning it for a year and a half because it just did not work at my home lake Clear lake in California It's a big lake with rough water more often than not and I could not go out and fish a lot of days so I sold it. I bought a 2006 20 ft Skeeter with the money and I haven't looked back but I did sacrifice some reliability for a smoother ride that can get me anywhere on the lake no matter what the conditions. That was more important. But the peace of mind I had with that little four stroke was pretty priceless I knew and I got out that motor would start every time and it did and didn't let me down. They are good boats for what they are just depends on the lake you're fishing.

These collapsible type rods are good for palm size fish like, bluegills from a pond. I may order a $5 knife. Shipping normally takes about 1 1/2 to 2 months from all these China Sites to me in Texas. are you sure that it's not some type of fungus or other kind of disease? The only reason I asked is because I've seen similar issues with perch and bluegill and was told it was a nasty flesh "eating " fungus (or something). A bad deal either way. I'm in Missouri btw. Reply if you can

      I'm not sure, I've never heard that. But I can attest I haven't been eaten alive by anything yet. 😆
