Make sure the strap goes under the roller and pull the boat up until it’s touching the roller. I learned the hard way not doing it

Man, I got the same boat. 2021 pro 170. Love it, but wish I would have bought the 175 tournament edition. 😎👍

I have a 2021 tracker it came with a 50 hr four stroke thank GOD I had a helix seven fishfinder from my old boat so I got rid of that cheap Lawrence hook two and you’re so right that basic Minnkota 45 pound thrust just don’t cut it I have to do the same 4-5 anything under that it’s just not enough power at all but for the price I love the boat it’s fast enough not very heavy and im able to store it in my garage

Agreed. The fact It's easy to store/light, but comfortable enough to still get out on is It's biggest plus.

I bought the same exact boat but a 2020. I was nice if the water was glass but anything over a 1 foot chop she would beat the hell out of you. I put a 80lb troll on it it was great more power than you need. But last year I sold it after owning it for a year and a half because it just did not work at my home lake Clear lake in California It's a big lake with rough water more often than not and I could not go out and fish a lot of days so I sold it. I bought a 2006 20 ft Skeeter with the money and I haven't looked back but I did sacrifice some reliability for a smoother ride that can get me anywhere on the lake no matter what the conditions. That was more important. But the peace of mind I had with that little four stroke was pretty priceless I knew and I got out that motor would start every time and it did and didn't let me down. They are good boats for what they are just depends on the lake you're fishing.

Thank you for the video. However, I have a question. On my pro 170, water gathers under the seat where the fire extinguisher, light, and paddle are kept. Is there a drain in that compartment? I believe all the water does not drain out through the drain in front of the seat and then seeps into that compartment. Any ideas?

@dreamabromfield7734 when you pull the plug in the rear, does any water come out? Might have a small hairline crack letting water in. Follow the weld lines and look for small cracks. They are lifetime warranty so they'll fix anything. But the boat would sit for awhile until they fixed it.

24v motorguide? Where did u put another battery and how did u pull larger wire to accommodate the 24v?

    • @MittenFisher

@Paul-c9m Will need to upgrade your bank charger from a 2 and maybe relocate depending where it's installed. But battery is side ways so turn it the same way as the other one and it can move towards the front of the boat and another can go in the middle.

@@MittenFisher how did u pull the larger wire to accommodate the 12 v, as it seems the 170’s only have #10 awg 105c wire, and according to what I found, it’s not heavy enough, it will eventually burn up the trolling motor

  • @luketilley9137

And yes, the trolling motor is junk. 24v Motorguide 80lb tour and you got all day in the wind no problem, with power to spare

I've seen where people have "tuned" them to make them better. But overall, you're right.

1:58 your strap need to go under the roller.

Yep, I'd say you're right since the eyelet sits so low the most direct pressure would be below.
