    I’ve spent 45k on my teeth already, 2 implants, and a ton of crowns. I have 4 teeth on the bottom of my mouth that need replaced and I’m considering all on 4 since there’s several. Seems more cost effective at this point to get the whole arch.

    I’m 36 and have already spent around 40k saving and fixing my teeth. I have two implants on top. I have 3 bad teeth on my bottom left and one on my bottom right. I’m totally considering bottom implants for the whole arch just to be done and over with this pain. Sad thing is I haven’t had a new cavity in years.

    why can't a water flosser be used around zygomatic implants? these implants are so far back in my mouth floss will be impossible

    • @allon4clinics
      @allon4clinics 5 днів тому

      We have found that if patients use water flossers around the zygoma implants, it can cause an ingress of bacteria to travel up the zygoma, which can cause infection. This shouldn't be an issue as all the implants align in the bridge, even if they are zygoma implants. As we mentioned, You can use a water flosser on the bottom and just use x-floss and interdental brushes on the top if you have had zygoma. We explain this more in our 'how to clean' video here: ua-cam.com/video/Drs0d6UO-T8/v-deo.html

    Can you use a toothpaste on a zirconia all in 4 denture?

    • @allon4clinics
      @allon4clinics 6 днів тому

      Hi there, toothpaste is not needed for the actual cleaning of the teeth; using the x-floss, interdental brushes and waterpik ( note: don't use a waterpik on your top if you have had zygoma implants) is enough to keep your teeth and gums clean. However if you want to have the taste of toothpaste in your mouth ( some patients like to use toothpaste to have that clean, fresh feeling in their mouth) you can brush your teeth with toothpaste. HOWEVER you must make sure that it is a non-abrasive, non whitening/charcoal toothpaste. It must be a regular most basic toothpaste so that it does not ruin the prosthesis.

    How u goin to decide on the day of surgery whether or not you need to bone graft when you can do that on a 3-D scan?

    • @allon4clinics
      @allon4clinics 24 дні тому

      Hi there, At the patients initial consultation ( before surgery is planned) we take a CBCT so that we can see the bone density/previous dental history ( if you have had any other implants/ dental work before etc) so that we can determine the best course of action for you. We will be able to tell immediately what type of implants you will need ( eg. standard or zygoma) or if bone grafting is potentially needed etc. Sometimes, we cannot determine if a patient will need bone grafting or it will be 50/50 until we get into surgery. We might have to make that decision on the spot, however we always make the patient aware before that this is a possibility and the potential added cost that they should be aware of. As much as we plan for the type of surgery we will do, there is always a possibility that we get into surgery and the bone quality is worse than we expected etc.

    How often are you getting people breaking teeth off of that?

    • @allon4clinics
      @allon4clinics 24 дні тому

      Hi there, The Immediate Final Teeth are made out of acrylic, which is a strong material. When patients receive their Immediate Final Teeth, we make them aware that they must be on a soft diet for 4 months, which means they can't eat any sort of hard foods. Not only is this advised to help the healing of the implants but to help get patients used to the new biting force that they have. Breakages can occur if patients use their teeth in ways that we advise against, such as biting bottle caps, extremely hard foods that can them result in chipping or breakages. But these are usually uncommon, as people listen to the advice we give them. However the most common reason for breakages of because the patients biting force is too strong or they are heavy teeth grinders. In this case we would give the patient anti-clenching injections to see if this helps and if it does not, then the material of the teeth might have to be upgraded to zirconia, which is extremely durable and strong. But to answer your questions, breakages from bruxing ( teeth grinding) are relatively common in the first 6 months, but can be resolved with options that we have.

    The appearance of most (all?) artificial teeth is too opaque. Real teeth have a certain amount of translucency to at least their outer enamel layer. Artificial teeth can and should be manufactured to appear similarly, the compounds are available. 👍

      Hi there, At All On 4 Plus, each individual patient gets to customise their own teeth. Everyone has different opinions on what they want their teeth to look like. However when we create our teeth, we try to create teeth that look as natural as possible. For us, this includes making the bottom of each tooth slightly more transparent and making the middle of the tooth and more up towards to gums more opaque. We have created a video showing how we make our teeth if you are interested: ua-cam.com/video/n6ZPSmAwDHs/v-deo.html

    Wait. So why not take them all all together for easy cleaning? Can one person do that?

    • @allon4clinics
      @allon4clinics Місяць тому

      Hi there, it is not possible for patients to take the teeth out without going to the dentist, as screws need to be undone etc to take the teeth off the implants. All On 4 Plus teeth are permanent, which means that they can't be removed ( without a dentists help) so it is completely normal to be cleaning them like you would regular teeth ( with a few minor differences). Using the x-floss, te-pe brushes and water flosser will clean your teeth and under the bridge well enough. When you come to your 6 monthly appointments, we may find that we will remove the bridges if you are in need of a good clean, but if you are cleaning your teeth as recommended by us, it's unlikely that we would need to take the teeth out at all! We hope this information helps :)

    $50,000, possibly more and the warranty is only two years? They must think we’re suckers.

    • @allon4clinics
      @allon4clinics Місяць тому

      Hi there, breakages are most likely to happen within the first 3-6 months after getting your final teeth. 2 years is enough time for patients to understand how to properly look after their teeth/ for us to uncover any issues/problems that patients may be having, in fact this is usually uncovered within the first 6 months. If we find that a patient is grinding/clenching (usually will be discovered within the first 3 months after getting your teeth) than we can make the necessary changes at that time so that the issues don't progress further down the track. However it must be noted that a lot of this is dependent on the patient. If we discover that you have had a breakage due to a heavy bite/grinding, we will give you options of what you NEED to do to ensure that this stops happening, which may include anti-clenching injections or to wear a splint ( mouthguard). If patients do not take this advice and simply choose to ignore and their teeth keep breaking ( more than 2 times), then there comes a point where the repair for the breakages will no longer be covered even if they are within the 2 year period. At the end of the day, warranty's cannot be forever and patients do have the responsibility of looking after their teeth ( etc. avoid eating the recommended foods such as hard things or using your teeth to open things with that may cause chipping etc). The teeth have an average lifespan of 5-8 years. There is a lot to consider when it comes to this as it's not a one size fits all situation. There are other costs that may need to be paid for different situations during that 2 year period. Everyone will have different experiences/issues that arise when they have treatment but ALL of this is disclosed in the consultation, so people are aware of all the terms and conditions before they start treatment.

    Why we cannot use Waterpik for zygoma?….Waterpik is very useful for me…

    • @allon4clinics
      @allon4clinics 2 місяці тому

      Hi there, thanks for your question. We have found that when patients (who have had zygoma implants) use a waterpik- bacteria can make it's way up into the zygoma. The soft tissue surrounding the upper area is thin and bacteria can be flushed in between the soft tissue and the site of the implant-. This is due to how the implant is positioned and the shape of it. Therefore overall this can cause an ingress of bacteria into the site and cause a fistula. Therefore at our clinic and with our patients, we strongly recommend our patients not to use it. However, you can use a waterpik on your lower all on 4 implants and you can use it on your upper implants IF you have had standard implants. We hope this information helped.

The cleaning around the 4 posts ( top and bottom) seems a major problem as you can't see your results! I've been told water jets can be too aggressive and I can't see how using floss between the outer post ( implant) diameter and the actual gum is possible - can anyone explain please - thanks anyone.

      Hi there, we have created a cleaning video which explains how to properly clean your implants and around the immediate final teeth- which you can view here: ua-cam.com/video/Drs0d6UO-T8/v-deo.html. In addition to the cleaning your teeth on your own- you can come to your dentist and get the underside of your bridge cleaned 3-6 months, which will ensure that no food/debris is left. However we give you all of the tools and techniques you need to ensure that your gums stay very clean- it's all about taking the time to clean them right. As we mentioned- our video attached should explain everything you need to know about cleaning- and if you have any other questions- we are always here to answer them :) You can also view more about this on our website here: www.allon4plus.com.au/articles/aftercare-and-maintenance

    I had base of tongue cancer, so I had a glossectomy and radical neck dissection. I cannot swallow. It’s almost impossible for me to sit back and have a dentist examine me for fear of aspirating and choking. I have been on feeding tube since 2017, so the implants wouldn’t be to assist in eating/chewing, but just aesthetic. I also have a bad cross-bite. I would never be able to afford this procedure since I am sure I’d have to be put under anesthesia. Great video. I have always been curious.

    Why didn’t you have to wait 4 months for the patients gums to heal before putting in the final teeth?

      Hi there, The custom-milled titanium frame connects the implants to each other to work in a group to dissipate functional loads and to protect individual implants during the initial healing process when the implants are most vulnerable, as well as beyond. A rigid connection is not only advantageous but an important factor in the healing and success of immediate implants. This is why All-On-4 Plus features Immediate Final Teeth with a rigid titanium frame. You can watch our video about how we create our immediate final teeth and how they are placed 24 hours from surgery here: www.allon4plus.com.au/articles/how-all-on-4-plus-immediate-final-teeth-are-made

    So I had all on 4 for the top. One implant in the back right. Crowns on both sides with a bridge in the bottom center. Took 7 months to complete. 36k. Why does it sound like people are doing this faster? I understand cheaper but not faster. The bone has to heal around the implants. Is age a factor? I would understand a young person who suffered trauma and had to have work like this could heal much faster. I'm 58
