It won't replace your board. It's not the same as having 20 effects that you can access and combine on the fly. You have to save presets, up to 80 across 4 banks, and they are all identified only via 4 color coded LED bars. It's a genius concept, but in actual practice, it falls somewhat short. If you try to just jump to any one effect that's not saved as a preset, you'll have to do some knob fiddling, because you only get two knobs for 5 effects per bank and each effect is going to require some adjustment. Some are WAY louder than others, so you'll be adjusting your amp and/or pedal volume a lot. Accessing specific Chroma Console presets on the fly MIGHT be a possibility if you put in many, many hours of practice. And creating those presets is no walk in the park either. It's more of a studio pedal for sure. The sounds are insane, so it's probably still worth it. I was on one hand disappointed, because I expected something else. But what it is, is actually very cool. And I can at least save and access up to 4 very unique multi effect sounds, pretty much on the fly. And with a bit of practice, I can scroll to the next bank and save/recall the cool drive/fuzz sounds that this pedal sports. Yeah. it's still worth it.

Regarding effects … do they have a song library ?

I use Ultimate Guitar (UG) for working through songs. UG allows me to use Tonebridge for song specific effects. Does the Nova Go Sonic allow me to work with effects libraries such as Tonebridge, or am I left to “reinvent the wheel” when I am trying to replicate the effects in place for a given song?

Stopped by the pawn shop today and found this pedal. I looked up reviews, found this video, was very impressed, and I wound up leaving with the pedal (as well as a free one they threw in). Only $25! Thanks for the great review!

The Gibson sounds more compressed and has more high midrange than the Donner, which on the other hand has more bass and treble. Sonically it's rather a matter of taste than a matter of quality. If both guitars had identical pickups and bridge saddles the difference might be smaller.

They sound the same. They sound like a strat. You couldn't tell in a mix. Expensive guitars aren't worth it anymore, especially with computer cut guitars and the fact that you can only wind a pickup so many ways in 2024..........

A few questions for Aviator Mach 3 owners! I'm a longtime tube amp player (currently amp is a Mesa Boogie 50w Rectoverb 6L6 combo) and I'm tired of carrying that heavy amp local gigs so want to try a lighter, less delicate, non-tube combo. I recently bought a 100w Line6 Catalyst to try it out and although it sounds ok, it just can't cut through a live rehearsal. My 50w Mesa Boogie with the volume turned up 50% destroys the Catalyst cranked up to full 100w! I've tried different EQs, moving the amp to different spots in the rehearsal space and it just doesn't cut through at all. So I think I'm gonna sell it and try something different. Since the Catalyst is a modeling amp, I want to try this Quilter amp (a Solid State amp I believe). It should be a totally different sound if I'm correct. My question is does it cut through in a live setting? Also, does this take distortion pedals well? My band's sound isn't super loud or heavy it's just hard rock. Sorry for the long post. All advice is most appreciated! Thank you! 😃

Excellent review. I've owned this pedal for about 2 years and for the price you're absolutely correct with regard to value for money. From day #1 I've used it in a Loop within a Moen Gec5 switcher to isolate my high gain pedals with the Soph Gate always "on" and the gain pedals in the Soph Gate loop. A year ago a friend of mine was considering buying one, however it appears to have become unavailable yet not marked as "discontinued" which is odd to say the least.

Both sound great & sound the same, it makes no sense to spend all that money on a big name brand with the quality of affordable guitars these, unless the name on the headstock is what counts. It’s expensive so it must be good. Nope! Just look at some G’s

Having been classically trained, I’ve noticed that many big-shot celebrity guitarists from the 60s have horrible technique, but they do it because they are performers, and it looks cool. Jimmy plays too hard, and his picking technique is ironically too tense. If you want to be a musician, Jimmy Page is the last place to look for a good example, but if you wanna just look cool to an audience of untrained people with no musical ear, then go ahead.

if you have a plexi type amp then yes compare it to the aviator as long are using a separate cab and speaker to make things fair.

How stable / stiff is the bottom rail? The basic one that I have, I ended up epoxying it to get it to stay still (after stripping the thread trying that way).

Bought a DST200, just personal use, pink/salmon color, changing the guard from White to Black, the standard Humbucker sounds pretty good not really bothered there although I have an Alnico 5 replacement if I want, the standard tuners don't lose tune that fast either, so for me not really a big deal to change them out either. For $138aust or $88US it's awesome.

How can you tone down the plinky pick attack on the deluxe? It's not clarity to my ears, more like an annoying interference to my solos. Everything else is fine, just not the picking sound. Help?
