- 3D-print lots of unnecessary stuff.
This channel will take you on a learning and problem-solving journey.
But the most important thing is to have a laugh so lots of my videos will contain some stupid jokes.

Overengineerd Arduino Christmas Light Controller PART 2
In this video Ill replace the broken Arduinos with a light controller which will control an entire Christmas village. And show you the awsome result of this project its truly stunning! Enjoy!
Te system can react to brightness in the room and therefore adjust its own brightness based on the mood. Furthermore, the lights can be trimmed so each element in the village will be at the perfect level.

Overengineerd Arduino Christmas Village Controller! PART 1
Переглядів 40514 днів тому
Hello, awesome viewers! Part 2: ua-cam.com/video/mrPJf91gc6A/v-deo.html In this video, I’ll show you a custom light controller based on an Arduino Nano that I created for a friend. He wanted to power all of his Christmas houses in his Christmas village and decorations at the same brightness level. The setup automatically dims the houses when he lowers the lights in his home. As the icing on the...

Why NOT To Buy The BOSE NC 700 IMO (with fix if you already did)
I'm trying to design clips that will hold down but need to flex up to 1mm during install due to variance in the board production. These clips will be under tension, what material should I shoot for? I am guessing petg will suffice but am not sure, I think pla is too brittle. The clips will be 3.5mm thick and width is not a consideration as they can be as wide as I need.
Good idea. Nicely done. Thanks.
So the dynamic effect is via PWM, correct?
Yeah that's correct!
Nice. When do you think we will see part 2?
According to he postal tracking code will the PCBs arrive on tuesday and he was verry excited to work on the project so probably in one week :)
@@PattysLab Nice, looking forward to it.
Definitely overengineered, but I love it! I probably would have abused the multiple outputs of a RGBWW controller and let home assistant (or an ESP32) take care of the rest. But a very nice implementation regardless!
Thank you for the reply! And using home assistant is a very good suggestion! since you can trigger scripts based on your smarthome status :)
@@PattysLab And if you used WS2812 LEDs you would have a lot less work. Just a suggestion.
@Slemi You're right addressable leds are way easier! But these houses are the way they are. The LEDs are already inside from the factory and they cost between 25-45$ a piece, hence this solution
@@PattysLab Yes then there is no WS2812 option.
11:00 did u warm up the section to be bend, in order to form the tab??? or did it actually fail prematurely, cause it was cold when bent? earlier in the video, u don´t warm it up, but I thought/hoped, that the actual test-piece was made differently/correctly...
It was a heated bend
what is "bard over extreuder" is used for?
For bowden drive printers where play in the Bowden tube is bad
Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for!
Cheers!

If you just print a little screw type connector for your extension springs - one that screws into the end of them and picks up 3-4 coils, your fatigue breakage issues at the eyelet should be over!
i found this guy too late its been two years since an upload and i subscribed today
This channel is not lost I've been just verry busy for the past years :p
@@PattysLab good to hear man hope the busy comes with some fun
All of this aside, one trick that helps is to boil the water first which boils out the dissolved air. At least I've heard this works.
You likely deformed the stress point by bending it cold maybe?
have you tried with grass trimmer wire?
What is the use case for plastic springs? It is much easier to wind a metal spring out of spring wire.
What about ABS?
I wonder how this would work with flexibles? I use a lot of a material called PEBA, which is basically a Nylon derivitave. It's main feature is that it has very good energy return and fatigue resistance, plus retains it's properties down to -60c. Hell, I bet you could print a spring from PEBA... It wouldn't even need to be helical.
very interesting video. but I have the feeling that the structure is not enough resistant in the y axel. Maybe adding some cuarter circunferece arc for support the weight of cable plug. Good content. Stay hard
what! awesome bro. loved this video. super helpful. keep it up dude.
So prusa is starting to get up to speed, finally
Is this using the stock board? Are you going to make a full video on your process?
Yep this is using the stock board. If there is enough interest I might make a video of the process :)
@PattysLab i take it this is a raspberry pie mod. I dont think ive found a walk through for prusa yet. Mainly git hub links. Would like to try this as I could do with the extra speed, but I've read mixed reviews.
@@RoadRashSpiritThis is the guide I followed github.com/dz0ny/klipper-prusa-mk3s
And a bit of googling ofc
@PattysLab bro, there is interset pls make the video asap
Hey if you respond it works perfectly but I want to change the buttons and when I try to they don't change.
I used aluminum foil wrapped very tightly instead of the special tape and it worked just as well. Just a tip
Yeah that's smart
@@PattysLab You are a wizard for sharing this technique. It turned out so much better than I thought it would.
if you are not 3d printing them then why the hell use 3d printing filament, just make some metal ones lol
lol… 😂 Do you know how spring steel is made ?
Because you wouldn’t be able to anneal the metal without a very expensive oven or kiln. The glass temperature of 3D printer filament is low enough to do easily at home.
Great video! Thank you and good luck!
William... Is that you
Awesome!!!! Thank you so much... This will support as much i expect...
Hi! i'm from Argentina. My colleague and I are trying to make a bomb. But, it not works!... Maybe it's the type of hose. Which hose to use?
I use a soft food grade silicone hose 👌

Can you give me the all materials of this project sir? For our school project sir😇
What about using an m5 lock nut instead of locktite on the inner nut?
Counterfeit
Neat that these can actually hold up that long! I guess the question is why though? It is so easy to make metal springs on your own that you don't have to worry about breaking from heating up or drying out due to the elements etc.
Lord 🎉
I'm so glad I found this. I was trying to figure out what metal springs I'd have to buy but this solves that since I can design the parts and then the springs after
I used a steam wand for clothes and amazingly, it worked! At removing the majority of the residue on aluminum. Unfortunately, while it's now "transparent", it's still sticky
I found this video looking for a way to merge items in OrcaSlicer. This video helped me figure it out. In OrcaSlicer do the exact same thing in this video except after you 'Select All' you right-click and select 'Assemble' instead of 'Merge'.
At level of the real star trek, welcome to federation earth! alliance. lol
next time you make spaghetti, wrap one around a pen or rod of some kind, to form a spring, and leave it to dry.
This is ao cool
really don't understand what the machine is trying to do here, replace the pour method? Surely its easier just to pour the required amount from the bottles!!! ????
I had literally this idea 6 years ago and didn't pursue it. Thanks for making it a reality.
Amazing video... i will try to make make some of these springs, thanks. There goes a question, this springs can be used in airsoft guns projects ?? Thanks again
You saved my project, many thanks!
Thanks a lot for sharing this!
You could know the amount of ml that comes out of the machine. All the best
Every time I merge it flips one of my parts 180 degrees. Why does it do this?
I am going to try this and add it to a speedometer that I am building!
Does hair dryer work?
To dry your hair it does
For the life of me I can’t get it to work for 3 lobes. I’m not a Fusion user, so I’m already at a disadvantage.
0:46 - dried filaments are more brittle than filaments that have been exposed to moisture?
Yeah, I think he misspoke.
