thank you so much!! im a goalkeeper and my dad always tells me to charge, but they always score when i do, this really showed me the right way to charge
Hi! Thanks a lot for this helpful video. By the way, I notice many people keep on talking about Zumlaxoc Training Program (google it), but I'm not sure if it's good. Have you ever tried this football training known as Zumlaxoc Training Program? I've heard many unbelivable things about it.
Was he running towards you? When you caught the ball in mid-air? Because if he was, then you should have lifted your knee. It would serve as a barrier when someone is running towards you. :D
If you live in Australia like me then youll know that diving really hurts because the grass is so dry... sigh i miss the wet english grounds (btw im english)
the faster the attacker its goin the easier the 1 on 1 is, cus he haves less time to think and usually you woill have a lot of time for seeing him coming.... the problem is when the attacker is going slow, haves space and time ... thats almost always a goal
When an attacker is running at full speed, he is surely not keeping the ball very close to his feet, i.o.w. he does not have perfect ball control (unless you're playing against Messi, but I doubt that). So he pushes the ball forward, makes one, two, three-four steps while running before pushing the ball forward again. Now when this happens you as a goalkeeper are supposed to catch the ball while it is away from the attacker, while he is taking his steps. Throw yourself onto the incoming ball.
Yes lol you shouldn't watch this right before a game because you'll forget everything as soon as it's a 1 on 1. Just practice and practice and then you'll do it without even thinking about it
mate if u always in the right position u still ened to dive idk what u call out of position but an attacker doesnt shoot at the keeper so u always need to dive and long range shots u cant see them coming so u still need to dive then
i cant believe 89 ignorant people that liked your comment either dont know or forgot that there are amazing shooters out there that MAKE you dive for the ball.lol
I THINK U MEAN u rarly catch the ball when diving ,, couse most of the times the shot is strong and its risky to try and catch it and the best decision is to push it with hands
Your first resort as a goalkeeper is to stay with the ball.. Some goalies can hang on to hard shot and others can't, I guess you've been watching amateur keeps in goal
The thing is, sometimes you HAVE to dive....you could have the best footwork in the world and get your angles right 24/7, but you cant cover the whole goal like that all the time..
No he is not. A good goalkeeper with good footwork doesn't have to dive as much as a keeper who hasn't has good footwork. Although diving is an important thing, position and footwork can prevent you from having to dive.
Yeah I wouldn't rely it, it'll work first time especially if the stiker comes across cocky but the striker will twig if he had another chance but I'd only recommend this if he was coming straight at goal not at an angle from wings you'd just be off balance if he tried going round ya, 1v1's normally favour the striker anyway, usually I would stay on feet as long as possible to wait for a heavy touch or try showing him in a direction i want him to go e.g near post, depends on situation really..
sometimes I'll play mind games with the attacker i'll leave my legs quite apart to try trick him into making the shot thru my legs then as I think think he's gonna shoot drop u knee in the gap to cover ur legs, there's many techniques tho for 1 v 1's just find the 1 which suits u best I guess
indian grass sucks
thank you so much!! im a goalkeeper and my dad always tells me to charge, but they always score when i do, this really showed me the right way to charge
what club is this at?
If your really low its easier to get chipped is there another way
oliver hall be low by bending your knees, but keep your chest up with a strait spine, be ready to stand up and recover
But if he doesn't take a touch and shoot your little finger can't save a shoot from that near and you screw
This guy sounds depressed
This video is funny. He doesn't know what he is doing...
I step, catch and then die :/ I get hurt like damn
me too :(
The poor mothers who have to clean these clothes^^
right*
i like to think sometimes they dive when its right at them to absorb the shock, but i may be wrong. just something that crossed my mind

YEA! Plus you had to land on your butt which hurt as well.
They make it look easy cause im a good goalkeeper and those saves are hard
when i play with my friend, they'll just shoot the ball with all their life
If he's running slow trying to do tricks, do this method. If he runs full sprint, slide the shit out of his feet
Was he running towards you? When you caught the ball in mid-air? Because if he was, then you should have lifted your knee. It would serve as a barrier when someone is running towards you. :D
i am already a good keeper ;}
these lads sure like their adidas
I faced a 2vs1, lol the 2 strikers fu*ked me up, they kept on passing each other & I was like go and score you bitches
yap
If you live in Australia like me then youll know that diving really hurts because the grass is so dry... sigh i miss the wet english grounds (btw im english)
Why are we shitty kids doing it
I can never seem to land properly while doing that haahahaha
But some times I see goalkeepers do a split when the striker shoots in 1v1 situation. Is that technique helpful? Coz my groin hurts like hell....
kmmmmmmm
LOL'ed so hard at this

ahahhahahahahah
This helped me a lot! Thanks!
I don't know why, but it seems easier to me to dive to my right than it is to my left...

TRUE
These keepers are rubbish
GOOD LAD!
Who is this guy? The one who is the coach?
SLENDERMAN! 1:24
Not having to move your feet isn't the same as not having to dive. Sorry but your argument in invalid
No he is not. A good goalkeeper with good footwork doesn't have to dive as much as a keeper who hasn't has good footwork. Although diving is an important thing, position and footwork can prevent you from having to dive.
Yes but not always
on real game you will forget all that tips...
