    You’re hilarious! I bought this camera for my daughter to take to Girl Scout camp and it worked like a charm! I sent her with extra batteries and she was just fine. Thanks for validating that I’m not crazy b/c I couldn’t figure out the buttons on the back. There is absolutely no “OK” button. 😂

    I wrote a detailed comment and when I come back I see that most of what I wrote was edited out (not by me). WTH? Here's some of the things that were deleted: Danklen neglects to tell you basic info like default # pixels (it's 10), battery type (it's AA), storage media (it's SD card), or most of it's settings and features (video, flash, optical and physical zoom capabilities, various resoliution, light and scene options, etc. Seems he never even tested the video. Spends most of the time walking around making cute remarks, instead of discussing the above or other features of the camera and whether he tested many of them (evidently not). He gives many of his pics a rating of 2 or less out of five, because they were "blurry" but some were sharp, and the blurry ones were probably due to his not stopping to stand still and steady his hand before snapping the shots. Anyway, despite not covering much about the camera (and twice forgetting the brand and model name), he recommends it based on its "sleek" shape, which is silly, since it has roughly the same rectangular shape as any other little point-n-shoot camera. One gets the impression he knows little about cameras and photography in general, and didn't bother to learn much about this one before reviewing it. Wish I had the time back I wasted on the video. After reading other reviews, I get the impression that contrary to what Danklen says, it does take pics with good focus, and has many good features (modes for different lighting conditions, macro, flash, video, etc), and I am seriously considering getting it.

    • @danklenTV

      I'm not sure why your original comment was edited. I can assure it was not me that edited it. I don't have that ability. I can only delete comments on my end.

  • @nabuk3
    @nabuk3 5 місяців тому

    Don't need all the wasted time with redundant and cutsie comments like "don't forget to drink water" and "I gotta cut my hair." Just do the review! We're all short on time. So many basic things he should have covered at the start, but didn't cover anywhere in the review, such as the default # of pixels, various settings available for lighting conditions, resolution, etc, or which he chose, or the number and type of batteries it takes, or the storage medium (SD card?), what accessories come with it, etc. Also, why not take some shots of still and movement (including with tripod, which he mentions but never tries), or of objects with more color than just some foliage and concrete, and 1 shot of a plastic apple. After the first minute or so, when he shows close-up views of the camera, the camera noises are loud, but his narration gets really soft, so that one can hardly hear what is being said. More than once he even forgot the brand and model of the camera you are reviewing. He spends more than half the video just walking around yammering, before showing and rating the photos... of ten complaining that many of the shots were blurry, even tho the blurry ones were likely due to his own movement--not stopping and steadying his hand before each shot. Indeed, other reviews of the camera did not mention focus as a problem. Also, why nothing about it's video capabilities or whether he tested them? Near the end he said we should look at some shots instead of seeing more of him walking and talking, which is ironic, since the bulk of the video was him walking and talking, with little useful info. Ironically, despite suggesting that many pictures are blurry and that it was a fault of the camera and not his own, and his rating many of his pics at 2 or lower, he still recommended it because it was "sleek" and felt good in his hand, which most people don't care about, since it's a little rectangular point-n-shoot camera the same as dozens others. The overall impression was that he knew little about cameras or photography, and didn't review his own review before posting it. I'll use his rating system and give it a 1 out of 5. I for one got little out of it, and found more from brief written reviews. I hope he does redo the video to fix many of these problems, and that he does more research on a product and its features, and does more testing, before reviewing it.

      Last year, I made a video about the Canon Powershot G10 camera. It's a great point and shoot that gives you high-quality photos (and has ok video quality), but also has that vintage film vibe. If you're looking for a camera like that, you should check out the G10. It's one of my favorites!

    You can also use certain Lego pieces. They go on much easier and add a personalized aesthetic. A Lego heads slide right on.

    • @danklenTV

      I agree! The only annoying thing with the lego pieces is that they don't friction hold on and can easily slide off. You might be able to fix that by wrapping the knob in some painters or electrical tape and squeezing on the lego piece.
