A detailed guide to change the screen on a Microsoft Surface pro 5 or 6. The original screen had a broken backlight and after reinstalling drivers and firmware it was still black. The screen was also getting very hot in the corner indicating damage. If you want to attempt the repair be very carful and follow the instructions very carefully as it is easy to damage internal components.

In this video I replace a battery from a Amazon Kindle Paperwhite and show you all the stages (not that I have done it before but it was very easy). Since it was a easy job I discussed how changing what we tax could not only help us all make better use of what we use, but help save us from an environmental disaster.
Did this myself, tablet continues to function but touch doesn't work anymore. Tried reseating the connector several times, but no luck. So it was a 50% success, I guess...
My replacement will not illuminate. I can barely see the windows logo.its so faint. Any ideas???😢
Backlight is dead or turned down. Try adjusting backlight, if no effect check connections or the unit is faulty
