@howarddavies136 I think it's alright. I don't watch videos on it but Google Maps displays just fine when using Android Auto. It hasn't got super deep blacks like an oled but it's alright.

@@alexrudavin540 thanks. Is it bright enough in daylight, or does it get washed out? I can't even use mine for navigation in the day because the glare is so bad.

@howarddavies136 yeah I find it bright enough during the day. It also has an auto dimming function that works with the headlight switch through the CANBUS.

@pedroabreu3612 I'm happy with the new speakers. I think there is a little bit less bass but the mid and treble sound has really improved, especially from the tweeters. I'm thinking of buying a small amplifier in the future.

Yeah I don't fully understand either. I normally use the screen mirror function so Google Maps uses thr signal from the phone. As you said, you can download offline maps but I've not tried this yet.

I think the head unit mounting tabs go under the vent tabs but I cannot remember 100% as it was a while back. About the central trim piece- it was a bit tricky to jiggle it in place behind the screen. You just need to loosen the screws. Also, if you look closely over the mounting tabs at the back of the trim piece, you should see that it actually "pops" over the silver metal pins that hold the adjacent trim strips in place. Once you've seen it give the trim a firm tap to pop it in place and it should be flush.

@@alexrudavin540 thank you for the response, I’ve notice another problem I have currently, my wifi connects but it doesn’t allow internet. Wanted to know if your unit automatically started working with internet or you had to enable something in setting for it to grab internet?

I don't really use wifi on mine for internet use etc. Wifi does come on automatically though when you use Google Auto and Zlinks to mirror your phone screen to the head unit.

I use Google Maps with the Android Auto. So I first enable location on my phone, then enter the route in Maps and then connect the phone to the headunit and it shows the Maps on the display. It works well in my experience.

It would be a far longer video if we started with the bonnet in the stuck position lol

@@alexrudavin540 Lool. I’d just spent 2 hours making no progress on mine and then watched this video with a nice open bonnet!

Just want to point out that I did not design nor made this product. You are welcome to pose the question to Fender if you have experience in this field.

If it is an e46 then I would imagine it would fit. However Eonon website suggests up to 2005 so it might be best to contact them to confirm.

No issues to report 👌 The other guitarist in our band has a larger model of this power supply, longer than I had mine, and he had no issues either.

EONON have a hint section that shows the type of compatible connections. If you follow the link in the description and locate the headunit you want, scroll down and click "Product Features". It shows you that if you have a 17 pin (there are two types) or 40 pin connection in the dash then you should be good to go. If you have blue/white connectors in the dash then you need to check the main harness in the boot/trunk. I think it all depends if you have factory nav/CD changer/amp etc.

If your E46 has the factory screen head unit and navigation then you'll need the 5m extension harness to connect everything in the trunk. If you only have the standard CD player with no screen then you connect everything behind the dash and you don't need the extension harness.

This power suppy is mains powered so it plugs into a wall socket. It does not take batteries.

Oh yeah, I got to that last bit and thought "erm, OK, what now?" haha. But thankfully found another video of someone installing their's and that solved it 👍

I just plugged everything in with the harness that was supplied in the box and they worked. Perhaps you need to check the canbus settings on the head unit, as there are options for different models. Or email Eonon for help. I did a stupid thing on mine and changed the resolution and ended up with a black screen lol. Eonon helped me to reset the head unit by sending me some files to save on a USB stick that I then plugged into the head unit.

Did you manage to get the steering wheel controls working ?

Not at the moment but I am thinking about it. Check out another video I've uploaded today about this head unit where I talk about my experience after using it for two months.

I've got an android phone so I can't say. The headunit supports both and android auto runs fine. You can connect with a cable or via Bluetooth/wi-fi. Screen mirroring is also possible.

It is the 2GB unit. It's not super fast when opening some apps but once open the app runs OK. I've had no issues so far listening to music via Bluetooth. I'm planning to do another video in a few weeks to talk about the performance of the unit once I've used it for a bit 👍

Not quite sure about the voltage doubler as all my pedals run on 9V, however I'm using an overdrive and a Hudson Broadcast and the power supply copes fine. Hardly any noise, nothing to complain about anyway, without resorting to a noise gate.

I'm currently using two outputs to split power to four small pedals and I haven't noticed any noise.

Like a lot of answers to questions like this is it depends. It would need to be either ground lifted or be shielded and the length of the splitter would have something to do with it. Wmayt I've done in the past with 5 socket PSU's when I need another cable is use an extra one from the PSU and run it from the power out on the Boss TU-3 pedal. The tuner pedal is off and not drawing much when you're playing and it cuts the signal when you you click it on so the power draw is low and the pedals take turns essentially.

Yeah it's a great guitar. I only uploaded the video as I had to send it to the store where I bought the guitar just to let them know.

I think I got away with just replacing an o-ring if I remember correctly.

Nice and easy then and cheap lol. I have an S410 and S510 cracking bits of kit but you do pray every problem I'd only a seal replacement 😁

Most of the leaks come from the O ring between the gauge block and the cylinder. It's a very poor system in that if you slightly over tighten the retaining bolt it compresses the O ring too much against the threads and blocks air getting to the gauge. Loosen it to get the gauge working and it eventually leaks. What they should have done was milled in a retaining groove for the O ring in the bottom of the gauge block when it was being CNC machined. A simple DIY solution is to use a Dremel cut off disc to make lengthways groove the depth of the threads up the lower 2/3rds of the retaining bolt to allow air to the gauge drilling through the centre of the block. Air Arms dropped the ball on that one.

A generic replacement gauge for the S4** is about £29 delivered from Bagnall and Kirkwood. The genuine thing is over £50 delivered as of August 2023 though you may find it slightly cheaper if you shop around. Generic 25mm gauges don't fit the stock and the threads are different otherwise a cheap and cheerful HPA paintball guage would do the job.

Everyone can decide what is acceptable for them as a customer. I can live with "imperfections" but a blade that is mounted clearly off axis isn't an "imperfection" in my opinion.

@@alexrudavin540 the knife appears to be a stick tang, maybe I'm not understanding what you mean by mounted off axis, they do make full'er' tang knives like the temagami in 14C28N Maybe that will be better for you

@@brianlash154 when looking down the spine of the knife, the handle and the blade were not in line. Essentially the blade was off at an angle. Which was the main reason I returned it. The other little issues were negligible.

@@brianlash154 I decided that if spending this much, I'd rather see the knife first hand but there was no stock nearby. I ended up buying an Opinel no.08 which for the money is absolutely fantastic!

It won't run the Line 6 because it requires 3A (or 3000mA) of current. The Ages and Eras should be fine as they only require 100mA each.

I don't really understand the question. Are you asking which H&K valve amps have headphone jacks?

@@alexrudavin540 It is switch mode and has isolated outputs. It also seems pointless to me to pay extra for an isolated power supply ad then daisy chain of it. you could just buy a non isolared power supply and save yourself 150 bucks.

@phil B each to their own. But I don't see an issue with connecting two pedals to one power supply output with the correct splitter, as long as the current draw of both pedals does not exceed the current provided by said output. The Voodoo Lab output splitter has one grounded connection and the other is ground lifted. I have not experienced any noise issues with the current setup.

@@alexrudavin540 the issue is that the isolated power supplies are expensive. if you use a spliter cable the pedals are no longer isolated. an Ispot daisy chain powersupply works in the same was as a splitter cable but thay cost a lot less. I was looking to buy a power suply for my pedal board but I was looking to avoid spending alot of money on kit if it was not nessesary. I guess it is like choosing between an epiphone and a gibson. you can still play the same tunes on an epiphone but you have to way up if spending more on the expensive version is worth it. sometimes it is sometimes you can get good results from less expensive kit. The problem is manufactures are just trying to sell their stuff so getting an answer to a question is nor always straight forward

I don't understand why people think this is me being nit picky. I paid over £100 for a knife and I expect the blade to be straight. Simple as that. If I bought a golf club I'd expect the shaft to be straight. It's not that unreasonable.

⁠@@alexrudavin540only 100 pound for a harding ? The retailer clearly did something to sell it that cheap. Had it too twice with a marttiini and in the end it was the retailer who thought he had to inspect the knives and no idea what he did , but the knives where trashed . I order from marttiini ,helle and morakniv directly now , always perfect and mora and marttiini let me put my initials on it , free for marttiini and 7,5€ for mora.

This is very rare and I’m surprised to see it. I myself have owned many, most of my friends and family own at least one and the only issue I’ve seen is one had a slight discolouration of the leather spacers
