IMPORTANT! Known issues for batch 1 Veteran Lynx (and how to fix them)
Переглядів 4,9 тис.Рік тому
Hi everyone! I was one of the lucky few to get an early batch 1 Veteran lynx and for the most part I LOVE this wheel! But I've identified two very critical (and honestly easily preventable) issues with the wheel and demonstrated them in this video along with my attempts at fixing them with the materials ewheels has provided me! 1. The power button is manufactured poorly and a few Lynx's seem to...
Free trip to Okinawa for delivering a Plushie
Переглядів 61Рік тому
First, I lost my JR pass, $500 down the drain. They could replace it, find it, and I I couldn’t even pay for a new one (max one per passport). I was DEVASTATED. But then through a string of fate an individual contacted me about a “free round trip to Okinawa” under the condition… that I buy him a plushie. This plushie meant a lot to him, and now it meant a lot to me. It bailed me out of a disast...

Do you still have these settings or have you changed them if so what are your new settings? Whats the highest safe pwm?
Can you do an updated one of this going through all the settings ?
All euc made by china, hope japan made euc too
I use the app for settings.
What japan made euc there?
👍👍👍
so helpful !! thank you Brian !! 👍
love you buddy
I would recommend disconnecting battery before gaining access to controller compartment. Just dropping a screw on your controller could make fireworks.
Hello I have a question, you said not to mess with calibration on the euc but I accidentally did it and now my euc is tilting forward each turn I do. Do you know a way to fix it or I am stuck with it 😅
you'll need to recalerbrate it. go back to the calibration 0, and press it once and it would no longer balance, so you can tilt the EUC around to what you consider leveled and then press the button again and it'll say something like "calibration 1, 2 " and then the wheel will start balancing again. Just do this until you feel satified with the calibration
How do you like like those wheel atm it seem to the be tubeless one
I bought very recently a lynx but I can't go faster than 25km/h. I got the tiltback from 25km/h. Can you help me on that.
Go to the os tilt back and set the percentage to 70% or higher. Also set the speed till tilt back to a higher number. This video shows me going over all these settings
What happen if you got caught by police?
Mine has Er 0bt what does that mean?
AFAIK: 1. the voltage setting allows you to correct the voltage reported by wheel. E.g. if you measure with your voltometer and find out that your euc is reporting 0.1V more then you can adjust it here. 2. The calibration is useful if for some reason your wheel isn’t flat horizontally when standing still and turned in different directions. Then you enter the calibration, level changes to 1, you place the wheel to “stand perfectly straight”, enter again, level changes to 2 and after a moment the calibration is done.
Don't even need to measure with a multimeter, can just check the BMS reported value and then match the display setting to that
I'm terrified of this wheel😂 the power is insane.
i dont think youre supposed to ride these wheels at limit. the power is a safety margin
How can you post a video saying all settings and what the mean, and not know what high speed mode does, ? Don't get me wrong it's not a bad video,.. but how about LYNX and what some settings mean...😂
nice video, thank you!
What battery version is your lynx?
great idea. i bet if you leveled those heads and use a grinding wheel from a dremmel to put in a castle point you'd have the best pedals on the market for grip.
This just in, they don't grip with softer rubber shoes. Got my linx in today and did just this, i have riding boots i think would fare better. most people ride with shoes though so it may not be the best option
oh the lcd flat wiring some of it disengaged you need to replace it; also the water will sip in once you open it and assemble back, to make sure put a silicone compound around the lcd and whole cover fittings to lock the gaps protect from rain
Angle point is comming with 40 degree as a default, I didnt change it.Should be 45 or 40 is enough for street ride?
55 is what everyone is suggesting or the wheel will spin out of control
If your power button gets squeaky or gets caught up E wheels will send you a whole new cover. However I solved it with graphite powder.
Can u give us a hint how to do it with graphite powder?
Those tiny set screws have a clear rubber piece that locks it into place on the handle so the seat pivots up at the other point of the larger screws.
Thank you so much for this Great job💪🏻🙏🏻😉
A settings import/export function would have been useful..
Just got my Lynx and this was super helpful. Thank you!
And as always ppl do, you forgot to show advanced menu settings - enter menu settings, then keep pressing button and enter advanced menu settings. Those what you show, is pretty standard for leaperkim
Well get busy and make us a video showing us what the advanced settings can do. I am waiting
@@boblatkey7160 thats what we all need to know, but no one knows. That is point for the toppic - all settings
It’s not looking so agile. Tight turns look difficult.
It's very agile. This video isn't doing it much justice. I take mine off road in rocky sections with narrow lines and it just rips! It eats up the bumps and it's actually quite agile for an 88 pound wheel. I'm already finding it a little bit boring on the street. Much funner to go tearing up the trails.
great video
I have absolutely no problem with the stock pedals or the jump blocks.
Typical Chinese quality and not cheap either!
Thank you !
lol the info i wanted you dont want to touch it :) about voltage setting, it is hard to find info on leaperkim device
right? I was interested in the voltage settings. i bet you if you went lower voltage you could get much better range.
If you have an extremely accurate voltmeter you can measure the true battery voltage and then check it up against the read out and adjust it if necessary. Otherwise don't mess with it.
Thx for the vídeo 👌🏼😉
The pedals on the lynx imo work really good and I find no need to do anything to them... I have a few begode wheels and coming from their really good pedals to what I heard about these before I owned my lynx was that they are terrible & I just dont agree, they work really nice and are easy to move my feet yet good enough to keep me locked in place.... Cheers
Same
How do you know if you have the first batch....? I want to purchase the veteran lynx 62 lbs suspension but don't want the 1st batches...... Looking at buying one in the next couple weeks.
Ironically it seems like batch 2 is facing more issues than batch 1 and now they’re skipping directly to batch 3 in March
I too like the “toilet flip” option. It just adds something else to do in what would otherwise be a simple seat. I guess having it loose allows us to spot clean the top once in awhile. 🤔Maybe mod a secret stash on the underbelly of the seat?
Any settings to disable the rear taillight? Sometimes we want to be the literal “unseen ninja in the night” without resorting to removing the device altogether. 😂
Just short press the power button
Can I ask you a serious question when you do a free spin test what’s your numbers versus normal mode versus high-speed mode?
The worst seat design ever
It's not supposed to pivot on the handle like that it has set screws....
What settings do you use and why?
there are hiden settings ...do you know to acces them?
👀
Enter the first menu and then long press the same button and that will get you into advanced menu.
'Promo sm'
I pasted some strips of Vicious Grip Tape on my stock pedals and the pedals feel much grippier now.
Anybody have some random lundging issue with the street tire on the lynx? Any tips? Im thinking maybe adjust psi or just throw the damn thing away.
I've got a street tire on it and don't notice any issues so far, but then again, I've been riding it gently while I get used to it. I'm riding at 40psi.
I will try psi change.
@@pacochawa2746 Your PSI must be at least 38 when using tubeless. I don't know what lundging means but I hope that helps.
@@matthewearl9824 well by lundging I mean the tire randomly turns for some reason. I think the psi was too high. I changed tires and my psi is at 40. Will heed your info thanks.
@@matthewearl9824Gotcha Im running 40 psi now and no tracking experienced.
Just get rid of the stock pedals and get some E-rides ones or some from Clarkpads, they have ones as well
That adds $200+ to the cost, this fix is free
Well would you put chinese tires on a ferari? Ride your own ride by all means. Erides pedals are sweet. Rode 2 and a half hours and my body gave out before my feet did.
@@pacochawa2746 do new pedals really make that much of a ride difference apart from grip?
I have both and to me there is not that much difference. Just my opinion.
@@Happyantix112 My opinion, no. Your shoes definitely do. I am not saying they don't matter on all wheels. I just think my patton and lynx are better stock than my other wheels were stock. I would never consider upgrading the pedals unless i wanted a different color.
Thanks. Can I change all that in the mobile application?
some but not all of the settings can be changed in the moblie application
Yes you can, but it depends on what app you're using.
@@familytvbox5218which app do you perfer?
Do you have problems with it wobbling or feeling unstable when you try to break
Yes but as time went on I learned to control it! I also bought pedal drops that made it a lot easier to ride without wobbles. I’ll post a video soon so stay subscribed!
@@brianonwheels ok
Yes, I found that bending my knees a heap to basically get in the seating position behind the wheel helps 👍🏽
Yes, keep your back straight and get your ass way behind the wheel and also try to carve a little bit. Keep practicing and you will soon find a braking method where you will have zero wobbles. Also be careful at speed because you can get them there too. Always be turning a little bit. The higher the tire pressure of the more likely you will wobble at speed. You are most prone to it after and acceleration and when you let up and relax a little bit. Also be careful of wobbles when going downhill at speed.
@@Riceman-o1p thanks
I have a question mine will only free spin maybe 60 to 62 miles an hour on a full battery and it’s making this weird noise like this running while sitting still is that normal?
Yes that's normal. It is peculiar though. It almost sounds like oil moving around in the suspension. I have a lot of miles on mine and I hear that noise also but it's nothing to worry about.
