I drained mine and water drained out, but nothing come out. I put a sock over the hose to catch anything and it showed nothing and its been a few years since it was drained?

The Rheem user manual does not cover the reset buttons' purpose. Used to create manuals and this lack of detail bugs me to no end. Thanks for you great video as I just got a new unit and had to set the unit up for the first time.

I’m excited to try this but I have a question. The breaker box doesn’t have the breakers listed. It’s an old house. I saw on another video that it would be a double breaker with a 30 amp? My question is, how important is it to be sure you’ve turned off the breaker to the water heater to open it up and press the reset button? Second question, should I just turn off the main power switch to the house to be extra safe? Thanks in advance!

Also my furniture is to the left side. The flames go out at night. Gets cold in our rooms. I just have to keep putting it back up to 70 degrees manually just to get warm air thru vents again. How come there's no flow of warm air all night?

Speaking from prior unhappy experiences, I have created clogged disposals by periodically trying to dispose of coffee grounds and bacon fat in the sink. My worst clog happened when I was a 21 year old newlywed and tried to use the disposal to get rid of artichoke leaves. Instant major fail! I learned my lesson. Now nothing larger than specks of food go into my garbage disposal, accompanied by briskly flowing water.

I have this exact hot water heater and along with our hot water now being luke warm at best, we are also getting a continuous beeping sound with the ECC 120 code on the screen. We keep it on efficiency mode 100% of the time. Today we flushed it but now it’s beeping and throwing the code. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks!

I am in the midst of dealing with Rheem water heater issues. The burner assembly failed and getting the replacement part is almost impossible. I had to remove it and take it back to Home Depot and I'm currently sitting at home depot for over an hour waiting for my refund. All in all I haven't had hot water for 3 weeks, I've spent an additional $650 is diagnostic cost. I agree with the garbage rating.

This is really great, but you should have warned people to throw the breaker switch so they don't electrocute themselves. I'm 72 years old and this is literally the first time I've ever lived in a place with an electric hot water heater. I had no idea they were such a pain to adjust compared to a gas one, which has a plastic thermostat Dial on the outside

My number one reason is the air intake needs cleaning. Have to do this every couple of years but two years ago I had two cancer surgeries on my right arm and couldn't get down on the floor. Cert Plumber said it couldn't be fixed but would replace it for $2500. I told him to quit cheating old people and to get off my property. I got down and it took forever but I got it cleaned and it is still going well. I HATE CHEATS.

Just recently (DIY)installed a tankless gas water heater and I know for myself that it is saving me money in the long haul, My unit is 4.6 gal per minute and is capable of three things running simultaneous . Do your homework when it comes to selecting the right size for your home. Gas seems more cost effective especially if you have have gas lines and venting in place or you can use electric, 🤑 every ones needs is specific for there home and family. Being a senior living alone wow already see the savings each time the faucet is turned on. 🤪😇
