Real meaning of its 1. ज़माना आया है बे-हिजाबी का, आम दीदार-ए-यार होगा "The era of unveiling has arrived, the beloved will be commonly seen." Iqbal is suggesting that a new era has begun where hidden truths and realities will become apparent to everyone. The "beloved" symbolizes truth or divine wisdom, which was previously concealed but will now be revealed to all. 2. सकूत था पर्दा-दार जिसका, वो राज़ अब आशकार होगा "The silence that veiled it, that secret will now be revealed." The silence that once hid the truth will no longer do so; the secrets that were kept hidden will be made known. 3. गुज़र गया अब वो दौर साक़ी, कि छुप के पीते थे पीने वाले "The era has passed, O cupbearer, when drinkers drank in hiding." Iqbal refers to a past time when people had to hide their true selves or beliefs. This era of concealment is over. 4. बनेगा सारा जहाँ अब मैखाना, हर कोई बादा-ख़्वार होगा "The entire world will now become a tavern, everyone will be a wine drinker." The world will become a place of openness where everyone indulges in the 'wine' of truth and knowledge, symbolizing enlightenment and spiritual awakening. 5. कभी जो आशनाए लहू था, कभी जो पेमाना-वार होगा "Once what was familiar with blood, will now be seen as a cup." Things that were once painful or difficult (associated with blood) will now be viewed differently, perhaps as vessels of wisdom or experience. 6. कभी जो नाला था रूह का, वो गीत अब बेसुरार होगा "What was once the soul's lament, will now be a tuneless song." The deep inner cries and sorrows of the soul will transform into something that might lose its intensity, becoming a song without melody, signifying a loss of depth or seriousness. 7. कभी जो बात छुपी थी दिल में, वो राज़ अब आशकार होगा "The thing that was once hidden in the heart, that secret will now be revealed." Secrets that were kept within the heart will no longer be hidden; they will come out into the open. Overall InterpretationIqbal's poem reflects on the transformative changes in society where hidden truths and suppressed realities are becoming evident.
