Follow up video to showcase the figures in HD. I give my 2 cents at the end, so feel free to skip the end as I blabber on a bit. I appreciate anyone taking the time to watch this and enjoy the figures with me.
I didn't order these o-rings, but they look very cool. Reminds me of 1990 Joes, in sculpt and design. Range Viper springs to mind.
@@michaeljfoley1 im sure they will have them up to order eventually!
@@DolphStalloneToys I'll keep my eyes open for them 👍
I have my 2 sets coming from BBTS (one to open & one to keep in package). I'm looking forward to see how they are compared to vintage & retro Joes
@@ToyCollector82 I think they go well with the vintage figures, standing them next to Leatherneck and Sgt Slaughter probably wasn’t to fair since those are iconic figures, and also figures that are hidden behind an expensive Transformer Paywall 🤪. But overall I like them and they should go nicely as “BADGUY VIPs” in our playtime over here.
I think these ones look a bit nicer than the Headman re-use that Hasbro did '05 (which is that orange bloke you showed off). Still think that these Super7 figures would be great if they had softer hands too like you said, that's something that's great about the Transformers crossover figures and the Retro O-Ring stuff Hasbro's been trickling out. The shine of the Super7 toys with the softer hands of the Retro figures would be godlike, but for now I'm happy with what we have.
Thank you! I didn’t have the Headman as a kid, but took the opportunity to grab that variant with a few other 2000/2001 releases someone was willing to sell to me. The name totally slipped me but I’m glad I had him close by to compare to the twins. The suited bad guys add variety and character. Headhunter is one of my favorite figures because he reminds me of Mad Max with a helmet on. I think the suit sculpts look great and Super 7 will hopefully continue to find their stride and potentially implement a few changes to add to what they offer.
I almost prefer the idea of having suited Tomax and Xamot among the Cobra Command lineup, rather than their "battle" outfits. Sunbow really made ample use of the Twins in that shadowy corporate Extensive Enterprises role, its the way that I mostly think of the Twins now.
Absolutely. I agree. Plenty of front line soldiers. I love the special role figures as well. I’ve toyed with grabbing more of the Cobra Runway Crew figure from the Haslab because he looks great as a driver or utility type figure among the soldiers.
They look very cool man. Like the cartoon. Mines should arrive next Friday from the bigbadtoystore. 😃💡👍
Excited to hear what you think. In the last 2 weeks I’ve received these, CS Longbow Ghost figure, and the Transformers Crossover Leatherneck and Sarge. Great time to be an o-ring fan 🎉
Mine are in my Pile of Loot, but I have a BAT too that hasn't arrived. Looks like all the other figures are in stock, except the BAT. It's a token BAT, really (I'm waiting to build the Sunbow black BATs), so maybe I should just let it go 😏
@@michaeljfoley1my BATS from BBTS finally processed so I’d say hold out. It’s a very cool figure even if it’s not black. The blue really pops nicely.
@@DolphStalloneToys Yeah, it's really grown on me, so I thought I'd get at least one, just to check it out in-hand. Who knows when the black BATs will come out. Could be a long wait.
@@michaeljfoley1 yea we are definitely in a rare hurricane where there are readily available o-rings all at once. Knowing BBTS you will at least get a nice heads up when they are due to arrive. 20 isn’t too terrible. I bought 6 total but I may give some extras to my nephews so they can army build like an adult 😂.
Looks cool. Some visible gaps on the figure's seams though.
@@DerekStark-g6k I have a few more that I’ll be able to compare and will see if that is persistent with the other figures, and will go away with a little tightening of the screw. Longer review hopefully soon.
@@DolphStalloneToys I've ordered some as well, so we'll see how they turn out. It's nice to see some smaller companies having fun.
@@DerekStark-g6k tastes change too. I originally only saw myself getting a single Ghost when I backed the campaign. Why get more? It’s futuristic sci fi, and I generally have preferred modern / retro military figures that look more grounded in reality. But that was 2 years ago. Now my kids are a little older and playing with me, they all love Cobra, they love the Delta 17 Okami robots, they all love these darker, scarier figures. The wackier the better. When I knew they were doing an advanced deployment of the Ghost figure, after loving the Retro Skeletron, I locked in a few of these. Worse case scenario, I can give a few to my nephews for Christmas. After having this in hand and seeing how cool it is, and how well the shield works at obscuring whats behind it, it may be too hard not to army build this figure and form a phalanx of some sort with all the shields up.
I cant wait to get these
@@gijoeactionfigures7211 hope you get them soon! Are you trying to find in the wild or ordering online?
When did the articulated Cover Girl come out?
@@maximusprime3459 people started finding them at Target the last 2-3 weeks. Super7 started shipping them out directly last week. The BAT is sold out at super7.com but you can still get all of wave 1, + tomax and xamot, at bigbadtoystore
@@DolphStalloneToys Thanx!
These figures are nice! Although, I was hoping Super 7 would have kept the quality of the cards. The regular Reaction cards have that nice finish to them and the colors are better on the illustrations.
I might use the snake eyes bodies for night force if the head sculpt is not detailed that much compared to the reaction figure.
The super7 head sculpt on the reaction figure would have looked better then the o ring one they just made cause it looks like the new snake eyes doesn’t have as much detail in his head sculpt. But who knows. Once I get them I will decide if I will just use the bodies to make a night force figure or black opts
Sweet how long did it take to get yours
So exited for this line, hope it's a big success! is it the last hasbro storm shadow at 11:40 ? how do the last hasbro compare with the super 7 for you ?
@@mchapuis it probably is a figure by figure thing. Some of the cobra soldiers ive gotten dont get 90 degree bend at the knees. Other than that they have been fine. Last i checked BBTS had the stormshadow / snake eyes set for 60-65. They also have the Tomax / Xamot BBTS exclusive available to preorder right now by the way.
I have both the Super7 ReAction BAT and Reaction+ BAT. Surprisingly, I'll say that he normal ReAction BAT, if you disregard the o-ring articulation, is much better! It's bulkier, it has the classic vintage colors, it has a mat black plastic that feels awesome, and it has a transparent "glass" on the chest so you can see the gears inside! AND the normal ReAction have a gun holster on the side that fits a GUN! AND the chest strap in not part of the BODY, it's detached! I hope Brian Flynn does the ReAction BAT in ReAction+ format!
@@pedroalmeida3474 that would be cool
Looks good in the comic. Looks stupid on a figure.
They look like the original GI Joe from the 80s
I had to stop watching as soon as you said “CoCo”
@@sc0barexecuti0n3 me too honestly
Hey, "Co-bra Co-mman-der" is a lot of syllables to say every time! 😆😜
@@michaeljfoley1 I see it written as coco so often on the tank and fb groups that its tattooed in my brain.
@@DolphStalloneToys I picked it up from HCC788 here on UA-cam, we called him "Hoodie CoCo". But yeah, it's used on the 'Tank all the time. I wish I could still participate on the Tank, but I can no longer comment or reply on the threads, it's like my account was restricted or something.
@@michaeljfoley1 weird - have you reached out to an admin or mod?
But still for $20 dollars? no effin' way.
Its expensive for sure
But are there cheaper O-Rings out there right now? Seems kind of on-par with other O-Rings atm. I'll spend $20 on my most wanted like this Cobra Commander, then if I see my less-desired figures discounted in the future, I might pick them up. Got to play the patience game, these days.
Cobra Commander looks good. Cover Girl is meh, but still better than the only ARAH version ever released. Those are the only one's I got. Snake Eyes & the BAT are an easy pass for me.
I think the BAT is my favorite!
@@DolphStalloneToys lol I thought CoCo was you're favorite! 🤔😆
DAMN!!!!! Those are some really craptastic lookin figures.
Looking at them here, the only figure I still have real reservations about is Cover Girl. I wish she was a bit curvier. Sunbow Lady Jaye is at the top of my want list, but I'm a little nervous about how the female figures will turn out.
I wish Cover Girl was curvier, but I also think she works well enough with the rest of the line. She has a rainboot effect that seems weird for military figures, and her arms could have more definition. The paint and color choice is at least well done.
Cover girl looks to be the best
@@coris3436 I’m currently leaning towards the BATs being my favorite. I think I like the head mold better than the original which feels blasphemous. Check my follow up video for a view of 3 BATs together and Covergirl posed with some different older figures and other female figures
@@DolphStalloneToys will do
Why on earth would I buy figures from a company that trucked put 5 points of articulation figures for so long when they could have continued the o-ring. As far as I'm concerned, if Super7 made these to begin with, we would never have had o-ring. GI Joe started o-ring for crying out loud. Just. Dumb. Maybe Super7 could continue the Star Wars license that Hasbro might be done with and use the Mr. Potato Head mold to make the figures that we have been asking for.
@@craigboyle9714 Hasbro only recently allowed them to do o-ring figures after they threw in the towel, right around the time they had layoffs, released the Haslab Skystriker, and the Stinger. Before that, Super7 wasn’t allowed to make o-ring style gi joes legally. Hasbro effectively gave up on o-rings excluding the transformer collaboration figures. I imagine if super 7 does well with these, they may go back, but right now Hasbro is focused on Classified.
Thanks for sharing once again. This video persuaded me to take a trip into San Francisco to pick these up at the Super7 store. Pulling these off a shelf to purchase, and getting to open them up with my cousin definitely took me back. Indeed an exciting time to be a Joe fan!
Glad I could help! That is so cool that you can go to the Super 7 store!
@@DolphStalloneToys If for whatever reason you end up in San Francisco, that store is definitely worth a visit. Modest space, but loaded top to bottom. 5 for the price of 4 deal on all Reaction figures is the cherry on top!
Wow I didn't realize Super7 had a physical store. I lived for about 2 years in the Inner Richmond district of San Fran. Is the store downtown?
It’s on 16th St. Not too far from Dolores Park.
@@toofydoo That's very cool 👍
I've ordered them. Can't wait to get them into my collection. Yo freakin Joe 😎
It’s a great time to be a Joe fan! Let me know what you think of them when they join your collection!
I ordered 2 Cobra Commanders (1 for loose, 1 for MOC), because I always wanted a proper Sunbow CC. I might just grab all of them though, I can't decide if I'm all-in, or cherry picking.
@@michaeljfoley1 you can always re-sell them if you don’t want them after seeing them in person. I ordered wave 1 and extra BATs, then was lucky enough to get wave 1 on shelf while waiting for my order. I’m going to gift my extra wave 1 to my nephews for Christmas / Birthdays. Really cool that we can get o-ring style figures like this, Delta-17, etc
@DolphStalloneToys Thats poor 80's comic book coloring using blue to add highlights and a source of light. As you can see the blue is on the backpack but in really on his parts that should be grey.. Even the 85 figure had grey paint apps. On the ankle and arm pouches. As well as grey accents on his grenade chest piece and belt. If it was grey with a touch of blue the figure would get a pass. But no the color is straight up blue. So it still a pass for me.
Fair enough. And I think you're right about how older comic coloring used blue to show "lighting/highlights" on black outfits. But still, in this panel, the blue boots and backpack do look outright blue. It might be a coloring "mistake", of sorts, and Super7 might have been taking this coloring too literally...still, not worth too much drama. I'm sure this line will be filled with different Snake Eyes figures, everyone will get their preferred version ;D
I'd agree that this snake eyes is the weakest of the 4 new figures. It is good enough for me, but I'd prefer a black snake eyes. I also think they need to approach the legs a little differently to get easier range of motion for ninja posing / high kicks.
@@DolphStalloneToys Given the history of Snake Eyes figures, we will likely have an ample selection to chose from in this line, so I'm in no hurry to pick this one up. Regardless of my nitpicks though, I'm very excited for this line, going forward.
Snake Eyes has blue boots.... lil blue boots... what the hell?? Who was the "McGenius" that made that decision? That's so bad that I would never want to buy him. What were they thinking? I see that so often with Transformers n other figures where everything is great other than the bizarre liberty they took inadvertently completely ruining the figure. More than one person agreed to this during its production. Again...Lil blue boots... WTF?!?!
@@joshuachristian5443 i added a “short” of the pic from the comic they based comic snake eyes off of.
@@joshuachristian5443 ua-cam.com/users/shortsqutPira_Y5U
@@DolphStalloneToys still an odd decision. It's as if an ill-informed non fan made this decision. Lil blue boots...lol
@joshuachristian5443 these paint jobs are designed to literally reflect the colors used in the comic book from the 80's or the cartoon from the 80's. Thus the color scheme on Snake-Eyes.
Great video and review 🎉 Subscribed 😎
@@xazylsclubhouse thank you! I did a follow up with more shots and commentary, and effort! I appreciate your time!
@@DolphStalloneToys I'll go check it out
I will buy the different variations for this Snake Eyes rather than buying unfamiliar color patterns from another company like for example Black Major. Yo Joe😃👍
Have to agree. I like this Snake Eyes mold better than the 1985 figure. (Yes I said it)
I'd like to see a Snake Eyes mold based on the "Origin of Snake Eyes" issues #26/27, when he still had that "commando" look. I'd like to see a little more musculature and clothing folds sculpted in, tho I wouldn't expect Snake Eyes to be super jacked or anything. I'm interested to see how the Super7 sculpts evolve and progress.
Super excited I can’t wait to get those new GIJoe figures.
Some of the comic pack ones seem to be super brittle
Very few figures from the comic packs have survived my kids.
I ordered 20 from super7 for starters. Do the t hooks need to be smaller cause that’s what happened to delta17 figures the t hook was too large so it limits the leg movement and motions
@@JoePal-c3n no the t-hooks on mine seem to be fine so far. The only swap i did was the oring on CoCo.
Thats awesome. No t-hook swaps needed. How many BATs did you get?
@@DolphStalloneToys I ordered 12 and I was going to order another 6 or 12 cause I want to have 18 or 24, but super7 site says they are sold out, so I hope my order gets filled, other wise I will have to put my preorder back with bbts if they are not sold out on that site
@@DolphStalloneToys and this is my main channel my other channel I just comment from my cell, so when I get time on the computer then I can also comment so you end up with 2 likes for your vid's lol
@@gijoeactionfigures7211 awesome. I think your original order if you were able to make it, will be fulfilled. I would have a backup with BBTS. I added 3 more BATS already through them. They are pretty good at contacting you before they fulfill a preorder so you can go in and make an adjustment if you already source your figure goals elsewhere between now and then. I also recently learned that you can refund figures added to your pile of loot if you end up not wanting them! Not something I'd encourage but it takes away the fear of "over buying".
Did you try to change out the t ring to see if the legs get more movement and motion
Honestly didn’t need to. I did a follow up video thats a bit longer that shows off the figures some more. I only swapped the o-ring for coco because it was too tight and forcing his gut out. Snake Eyes leg gear can run into the crotch / waist piece. I have a few t-hooks laying around that might change where the hips sit by a few millimeters. Maybe that will help tuck his legs in better. It wasn’t like the delta 17 figures that I proactively swapped all t-hooks out. Those were a different issue where the girth of the hook was rubbing into the legs and risking possible breakage.
Some people said the o rings are too small I use Amazon o rings. They have a listing GIJoe o-rings. I use them all the time 100 o rings really cheap. So after you change the o ring to a larger one then see if it makes a difference otherwise then the t hooks might be too large. And someone turned one of the cobra commanders into a hooded one. Lmao it’s awesome I might do that too.
Finally! Been waiting for someone to do a review of these! They look really good. I hope collectors support the line. I also hope that Super 7 doesn't go the route of making rehashes of figures that we already have. These feel different enough from the original molds. I've never bought anything from Super 7 before, so I'm glad to see that these have a quality feel. I backed the Haslab Skystriker and was disappointed with how cheap the figures felt. For official Hasbro product, they felt like knock offs. I've been looking for these in store but have yet to find them. Thanks for the review.
No problem, might do a part 2 with the figures posed with originals
Im gonna pass. Snake eyes paint apps( blue boots and blue accents) ruined it for me.

I replied with a Short of what I think they were doing with the blue. Its not for everyone but I’m glad i grabbed it. It feels and looks better in person.

blue boots on snake eyes is stupid, they make the worst color choices
@@bananarama6808 Thought so too but someone dug out some shots from the comics and he has blue boots with how they did the coloring. I also noticed on BBTS it specifically says “snake eyes - comic”, BAT is described with “comic blue” and Cobra Commander is listed as “cartoon”. I’m sure they will do a more straight forward Snake Eyes in the future but yea, grey with blue boots is wave 1.
I agree the blue on the boots is not needed at all
I uploaded a short with an example of blue boot snake eyes from the comic.
I got the Cobra Commander and his torso kept popping forward like he was sticking out his belly. I replaced the O-ring with a different one and it fixed that problem. The only thing that really bothers me is that none of the vintage backpacks I tried fit in his back. The hole is too big and the backpacks won't stay in.
@@TrevorToonArt same issue with Cobra Commander. I just swapped the o-ring and it seems good to go.
@@DolphStalloneToys Oh that's crazy, I was thinking it was just mine.
Use a tiny bit of a plastic bag to make a tight fit. That way you don’t have to ruin or charge anything cause toy poly would use wood putty and then sand and paint
Thanks for showing off the figures! I’m definitely going to pick these up.
No problem! I love o-ring figures!
Bloody brilliant. Definitely picking up Cobra Commander at the very least.
Its a toss up which one i like the most between the BATs and CoCo. It is arguably one of the best cobra commander figures, but the BATs color really pops. The paint looks really good. My kids love “the robots” as they call them. There is something about how appealing it looks sitting on the shelf. I did a follow up video with a longer overview and posed 3 of them together and they look great.
@@DolphStalloneToys I was planning to hold out for black cartoon BATs, but seeing your videos, I'm leaning towards picking up this BAT as well. CoCo and the BAT are the standouts, for me. Also--can't wait for the Twins!
@@michaeljfoley1 the more BATS the merrier. You can grab a few and then more of the cartoon black/yellow and use the blue as either a commander figure or a few as utility troopers.
