If you are going to take hood and radiator out it’s good to do radiator first. Also when putting it back go in reverse. Hood first than radiator. If you do it hood first it’s super easy. Everyone can do super easy.

I’ve seen people use the 4 link rear end from a first gen rx7 for s20 swaps

Love this! I am doing something similar to my 1967 1600. I am swapping in my sbc dirt track race motor with a powerglide and keeping the OE diff to start. Channel is called Send It. Check it out.

I worked on these new and for a decade at the dealer. They produced a Factory Racing Catalog with part numbers that I still have. My car came from Florida at an air base. The corenal sold it and came straight to the Midwest and kept indoors under a heavy tarp. I got it from the newspaper adds for $300 from the father. He even towed it to my house. Stripped down to bare.metal I painted the frame in black epoxy and not one inch of masking tape on the car. I had to go with a GM 8969 medium metallic red factory pack from PPG when a gallon was $110 dollars for RED! It is a darker red that sparkles in the daylight! I cleaned and rebuilt everything. As models reach a 10-12 mark, then the regional parts warehouse was in Aurora, CO. They reduce prices unannounced like a fire sale. Like new calipers were $9.20 each and a new convertible top was only $42. I got a new windshield for $55 dollars and the first one came in with a tiny chip on the lower corner. Since the parts manager new me, he ordered another, marked the chipped one as scrap and I got both. Factory exhaust including pipe, hangers, muffler and chrome megaphone tail pipe cost me a ridiculous $17.80. Pennies on the dollar and happy to sell it. I was driving down an old highway one day and caught a glimpse of a roll bar in a roadster. The farmer had his own private junk yard. I bought the entire car for $50 and pulled it 200 miles home. I love this car as I used to set carbs, points and lube the timing weights and all was good. Your week the A/F ratio by turning the knob at the bottom of the “SU” carbs that raised or lowered the main jet. The rest is easy. ASE master since 1978, retired.

Cool. I just picked up a 69' as well but mine is a 2000. I am also in the process of breaking it all down to fit a vq35 in mine. Whole drive train and sub frames.

How about a Miata IRS swap? or a early 90's Thunderbird/Cougar IRS swap? They use the Thunderbird rears for the Monster Miata v8 swaps and supposedly fit right in.
