@Cholo.from.Atlanta Absolutely!! She's mine 👍
@@antoniobattle2036 sheesh she’s a beauty keep her that way! 👍🏽
Super clean 👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks bro!! 26k miles !!
Very cool. For it's year the GNX was the fastest production car made...BOP body styles were great through the '70s and '80s...This is a beautiful Grand National...
Clean bro! I went with the t top version. I love my GN.
❤️
Love the grand national. That 2006 X-Terra is clean!
very nice...kinda surprised about the sunroof though
The GN were made with T Tops or sunroofs optional...
cool car for sure
Wow , a gnx , with sunroof , seen lots of grand national s , but I've never seen a gnx in person , only in books and magazines .
That's not a GNX. Grandnationals had sun roofs and also t tops (mine has t tops) Only one GNX has a sun roof. It was special ordered.
@@jdgreen214💯...

Door edge guard needs to come off. It's a flow.. the chrome changes it. And the song will match too

Gotta love that AMX javelin one of the best dashboards ever
Yes similar to a plane cockpit some what.....😉
I like them both but I'm partial to the AMX. I had a '74 burnt orange.
It doesn’t matter which one
magnificent ! absolutely gorgeous classic American muscle iron.
Hey l appreciate it!!!
You had be subscribed at B3 Quick Silver Metallic!
❤ 🙏
Beautiful
You need a 401 in it .
Yeah that would be great still she has her original 360 and lm very happy with it.,
@@antoniobattle2036 i’m in Quebec Canada there was a time in the 80’S and 90’S 401 from javelin was very easy to find , even more the 401 from wagoneer, in all I had about 75 of them if not more I was paying 25 to 125 $ Canadian for a complete block and 25 $ more with a transmission. Most of them where rebuild to be installed in JEEP CJ-7 , YJ , TJ . I had also 100’S of 360 and 304 , I did some engines for the drag but most was for the streets and lots of torque in 4X4 . A friend has put a modified 401 in a mini Austin , he was driving from the rear seat .
@patrickpat8878 That's awesome. Those were the days because now extremely difficult to find parts and if you do it will costs $$$$$$$
I have one of those but mine's green, that deep cavernous grill absolutely the best one ever
No question JAVELIN
Very nice 👍🏽
My first car was a 71 SST 360/2V in Surfside Turquoise..nice.
Sharp car , it’s cool to see one again 👍
Ooof...that AMX is niiiice! But, so is the SS. AMX...
I'm still waiting on the new black seatbelts to arrive..
What are the size on the wheel and brand
17" 225/ 45 front 275/40 Back - Brand is called Bandits !!
Beautiful car. I work a stone’s throw away from the old AMC World Headquarters in Southfield, MI. I’ve always loved the Javelin and that’s the prettiest one I’ve ever seen.
Much appreciated 👍👍👍👍👍
Well done that car is beautiful
Much appreciated 👍👍👍
@@antoniobattle2036 your welcome, what is in it for an engine. Love that color.

way ahead of it's time great looking cars
Poor little AMC. I wish that they were still around.
I love that car with the exception of the tail pipes
Cool 😎 👍
If a Mach I & a Camaro had a child .😆😝😆
🤣🤣🤣
That is a beautiful and super clean 71!! Hard to find them like that and even harder to build them that way. Seems like even the parts that have been stored are starting to corrode after 50 years. Enjoy!!
Awesome
I appreciate the compliment........
X FIN ENTENDIERON QUE EL JAVELIN ES UN DEPORTIVO EN LA MADRE 😌😌😌👍
I take the Chevrolet 👍
Making Kenosha, WI proud.
The roof reveals that it's a '73 or '74.
No sir it's a 1971 l converted it to a hard top during the restoration....
Taillights and grille style says it's a 1971...
My first ride in a muscle car was a 1968 javelin sst 343 4 speed
What an amazing vehicle 👏
My friends brother bought a new 1971 amx , 360, 4 speed , Mustard yellow
That's a great looking car! I watched a documentary about the SCCA Trans-Am and became a Javelin fan. I think the 71-74 had nicer proportions than the earlier model. Your car has the most attractive 'face' - the twin recesses, blacked out grille, and logo like the roundel of the French air force. I'm surprised to see it on an AMX instead of an SST. I thought AMX's got a flush grille with steel mesh.
You are absolutely correct regarding the flush grille on the AMX unfortunately during the restoration l couldn't locate a good steel mesh grille. I did infact find a recessed grille in perfect condition and decided to improvise. It is extremely difficult to locate parts for most AMC Javelins especially the 71&72 models. Overall lm extremely happy with how the restoration project turned out... Thank you for your appreciation of the car it was a grueling long process and cost a pretty penny $$
@@antoniobattle2036 Hi. Thanks for the response. 🙂 I really appreciate your commitment to making your car as original as possible. It's a shame there aren't good reproductions available of those mesh grilles. It doesn't look like a very complicated piece to make. In fact, I did a little research online and I think it was expressly designed with simplicity in mind. I believe Mark Donohue himself insisted the 2nd Gen Javelin have a flush front after he observed that the 1st Gen had aero problems from the recessed grille - much like the '68 Charger had. Chrysler was able to deal with its problem by making a '69 only homologation special using a flat faced grille they borrowed from the Coronet. Originally, my understanding was that, lacking an already available replacement part, the cost conscious AMC just opted to make a wire screen accesory that could be fixed on top of the standard recessed grille. However, I'm not sure now if that was true for all the cars, or if maybe it was just true for the racecars (and perhaps a few early production models). Some sources say it's both, but others claim that the streetcar had a unique "back grille" under the mesh screen made expressly for the AMX. That would make sense considering that the production car had parking lights behind the screen, whereas the Trans-Am car just has metal disks filling the holes where the lights go. All the same, personally, I still prefer the looks of the '71 SST front end to any other Javelin. It's got the parking lights nicely sculpted into the body just below the bumper, and I think all those horizontal lines disappearing into shadows just make the car seem even wider and more imposing. Sure, the grille causes a lot of issues at speeds over 100mph, but nobody should be driving a 50yr old car that fast anyway 😂
