10 Hour 4K Virtual Run: High School Track Lap
Enjoy a 4K virtual run around a scenic high school track for as long as you want, from a 100 meter sprint, all the way up to a 10-hour ultra marathon, and never get rained on!
The average pace during recording was 1 minute and 50 seconds per lap (7'20 per mile, 4'33 per kilometer), and the average speed was 8.18 mph and 13.17 kph. You can speed up or slow down the virtual pace or speed by changing the playback speed of the video. If you run for 10 hours at 8.18 mph, you'll run 81.8 miles (131.7 kilometers).
You can just play the video at the standard speed regardless of the speed you walk or run, but if you want to change the playback speed, here are the approximate equivalent paces and running/walking speeds (but mute the video's audio if you slow it down, because it sounds awful that way):
---Apparent Virtual Pace & Speed---
Playback Speed = Minutes'Seconds/Mile & MPH; Minutes'Seconds/Kilometer & KPH
0.25 = 29'20/mile, 2.05 mph; 18'14/km, 3.29 kph
0.5 = 14'40/mile, 4.09 mph; 9'07/km, 6.58 kph
0.75 = 11'00/mile, 5.45 mph; 6'50/km, 8.78 kph
1.0 = 7'20/mile, 8.18 mph; 4'33/km, 13.17 kph
1.25 = 6'25/mile, 9.35 mph; 3'59/km, 15.05 kph
1.5 = 5'30/mile, 10.91 mph; 3'25/km, 17.56 kph
1.75 = 4'35/mile, 13.09 mph; 2'51/km, 21.07 kph
2.0 = 3'40/mile, 16.36 mph; 2'17/km, 26.33 kph
Since this is on my Treadmill Sprinter video channel, you might wonder what this has to do with treadmills or sprinting. Well, it's intended as a virtual run that you can watch while on a treadmill, long enough to outlast any run you do, and if you play it at 2x speed, it sure looks like sprinting to me.
Regardless of how you use this video, keep on walking, running, or sprinting!
********************
Purpose: I made this point-of-view (POV) video because I do almost all my walking and running on my treadmill at home, but I miss being able to run on the track. There are lots of other virtual running videos on other channels that I enjoy that are in beautiful places, but sometimes I really want to feel like I'm running on the track, and this way I can feel like I'm running on a track when I'm running or even walking on my treadmill. And since I wanted this video, I thought someone else might like it, too. Visualization can help keep us motivated!
Runner/Videographer/Editor: John Donovan Lambert
Technique: One lap was recorded and looped to extend the time.
Audio: I left the clip-clop of my feet and my gasping as the sound track, but you can mute the video and play your own running music at the same time if you want to.
Location: William Monroe high school (home of the Dragons), in Greene County, Virginia. You can see the tops of the Shenandoah section of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background part of the time. (goo.gl/maps/Wm8TxUKhCGuhsDgZA)

Treadmill Sprinter, Personal Update after Prostate Surgery [Fixed Sync]
Переглядів 6162 роки тому
I had prostate surgery on 3 December 2021, and recovery took a lot longer than expected. I have an enlarged prostate, also called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), which makes it harder and harder to empty my bladder as it gets bigger, and I had a Rezūm procedure to shrink it down some. In this video, I talk about the problem, the procedure, and my recovery. LINKS Treadmill Sprinter on Master...

    Finally someone has split the four forms apart. I find that at the same speed jogging, with the fly time, takes more energy than walking - Is that the point of jogging?

    • @TreadmillSprinter

      Hi, I don't think I've ever seen treadmills advertise horsepower. Horsepower will determine how fast it will go for a certain body weight, and mostly they advertise their top speed and maximum user weight instead of horsepower.

      I sure wouldn't want to be a race judge, because it seems really hard to tell sometimes. Plus, I read that in longer racewalks, most competitors have both feet off the ground occasionally by accident, which I guess is easy to do when you're pushing yourself to the limit. The article also said judges tend to overlook close calls for a few steps, and only call a penalty if it becomes obvious and for too many steps.

    Entertainment option should be the least consideration when choosing your treadmill. For example, you would pay about $300 for an acceptible 11 inch tablet for casual use. If you compare the specs and performance, I doubt there will be be anything comparable when it comes to flat screen that came with the treadmill. In other you will be wasting your money and you will kicking your self for buying such option.

    • @TreadmillSprinter
      @TreadmillSprinter Рік тому

      I agree, Raymond, unless the build-in entertainment comes with the treadmill you want for its other features, or because of features that sync with the treadmill. The only reason I bought a Skillrun was because of it's top speed, and I got the 7000 model because I thought I might make good use of the parachute belt. Plus, the Skillrun's screen software has a lot of workout programs that sync with the speed and incline, which a separate tablet is unlikely to do.

    You bought a machine that was ripped off from Woodway in design and function. I have been working on Woodways for 12 years and they are the best. We have a few pieces of technogym equipment and they have been junk for that same 12 years. From what I remember Woodway fought this company in court over the nockoff design but because of a few small differences technogym got away with the theft. I hope your treadmill lasts but from what I've seen, that company makes junk.
