Hello Julia. You are a very fast stitcher and your angel is looking absolutely beautiful. Ages ago I did Angel of the Sea for my sister. I put my niece and nephew's names on it.
Thank you! I wish I had more time for stitching) But that's ok, I'll have a loot when retire (I dream) 😆 Angel of the Sea is one of my favorites, my father used to be a sailor so I might stitch for him
I love your kitty piece, I can hardly imagine how many beads and your perseverance! Your lilac project is also beautiful. I am glad you are showing us some brightness from Ukraine, I do pray for your country. Your stitching is amazing!
Thank you so so so much!!!
Ylur work is very beautiful!❤
Thank youuuu 😊
Your stitching is beautiful. I enjoyed your video. Cannot wait to see your next one.

Welcome! Thank you for nice comment! 😇
That is a lot of fabric choices and I love the choice that you made. Beautiful work.
@@cynthiarobbs-diegel5790 thank you! With Merilyn designs you cannot fail 🙂
I appreciate you sharing your heart 💚 Sending friendship your way 🙋♀️🇨🇦
@@themirrorimagestitcher thank you 🙂❤🤍💙💛
I did this one for my daughter when she was born and I might redo it for her child as well :)
@@HobbiesAndHyperfocus wow, that would be amazing! You could change something just a little bit on the 2nd, like do the blanket in different color.
I feel the very same way. I am older than you and have dealt with the same illness since I was a teenager. Thank you always for your meaningful videos and your honesty! We must be strong for ourselves and for each other! ❤ I love this piece, and the brown fabric is beautiful!
@@shelleykelly5944 Thank you! Please take care!
Hi from Edinburgh, I would definitely move the earth on your angel of peace
Hello and welcome!) Agree, this is the best option. Thank you
I loved hearing about your grandmother and watching your progress on this gorgeous design!
@@RosieintheRockies thank you Rosie 😊
Hi, Julia. I am so glad you were able to resolve the problem. Your correction looks great on my side of the screen. You have more patience than I have shown with similar mistakes. I think I would have cut out the design and repurpose the rest of the fabric for another project, and re-start "World Peace Angel" on a new fabric. Take care and stay safe in these challenging times.
@@Jasmine-ur1sl thank you Jasmine! 😊 I might have done the same with other project, i mean restart. But with LL...I don't know, they are special for me for some reason, so I'm more patient with them 🥰
One time, many years ago, I miscalculated the center point of a counted cross stitch and the end of the stitching was only about 1/2 inch from the edge of the fabric! I was able to stitch some leftover cotton to the cross stitch fabric so the framer could frame the piece with nearly 1/2 inch of fabric showing. There's always a way to correct a mistake. Your work is beautiful!
@@shelleykelly5944 oh thank you so much! Your comment makes me confident and relieved 😌

Today we honor our war heroes, dead and alive, and I keep remembering the comment about the discussion you had with your now 16 year old son. He would like to return to childhood. Please know that many Canadians feel heartache for what the citizens of Ukraine are experiencing and for so many families having your same experiences and discussions. I’m so glad that you have cross stitch and that you decided to FlossTube. Thank you.
@@cynthiarobbs-diegel5790 thank you so so much! Yes we know and we feel all the support. I don't want even think what would happen with us unless we were so much supported ❤
Hi! I'm working on a sampler that I somehow mismeasured: three sides are fine, but the fourth is going to have only an inch margin! What I've seen recommended--and what I'm going to do--is simply add extra fabric to that side. The trade-off is that the seam will have to be covered, so your piece won't have much space between it and the frame or mat. Since I am *not* going to restart my sampler, I figure that I'm just going to be fine with that outcome!
@@roaringgirl7079 thank you for sharing this tip! I feel more confident and safe 😁
The crochet necklace is lovely. I try to unpick my thread with the idea of reusing it. Often though I snag the thread & separate the fibres & have to throw it away. It’s so interesting to hear the stories associated with patterns we stitch & their personal meaningfulness
@@themirrorimagestitcher thank you 😊
Absolutely LOVE the lilacs. And yes the process is so enjoyable for me too. Love finishing of course but you spend so much time with the work that it’s sad to finish something. And the project love will be an heirloom for sure.

Oh my lord what a striking project in beads. So nice to have your daughter participate. She will be the next artist in the family. 😊
Nice collection of Mills Hill. I like them on regular fabric because you can make ornaments with them, banners and gift tag to keep like on stockings.
A nice way you put the video together. We get to see your progress in steps. I used a wrong color in my project today and it took me thirty minutes to take it out. Grrr.
@@marylynnlucas3918 oh I'm so sorry 😞 but we'll go through 🙂
I have always loved that pattern. Your fabric choice is beautiful. You made a lot of progress and I can understand the association with your beloved grandmother. I can only speak English and commend you on how well you manage this difficult language. Happy stitching to you.

I enjoyed this while I was preparing linen for some cross stitching, marking the edge, as I am putting together a wedding sampler from various ideas I have. In my wips I have Natucket Rose, but I am changing the hair to red and the house to white with a green roof - yes Anne of Green Gables - I have seen this done e by others. I have stitched Angel of Winter, and it is a framed firescreen. I also turned Angel of the sea into Mary, holding the baby Jesus's swapping out the original colours. I like L and L because they are so versatile for such things. Please do not worry about words and how to say them, your voice is very calming and gentle, easy to listen too. Thank you 😊.
I did Angel of the Sea in the manner of a baby announcement for my sister. The names of my niece and nephew are on the piece.
