I have always loved that pattern. Your fabric choice is beautiful. You made a lot of progress and I can understand the association with your beloved grandmother. I can only speak English and commend you on how well you manage this difficult language. Happy stitching to you.
@@cynthiarobbs-diegel5790 thank you very much! Fabric just came to me by chance. I ordered some others from the hand dyer I usually buy fabrics, and she went-i've just made a new piece, do you want to see it first before I list it? I agreed and omg it was the one! That ment to be)
The crochet necklace is lovely. I try to unpick my thread with the idea of reusing it. Often though I snag the thread & separate the fibres & have to throw it away. It’s so interesting to hear the stories associated with patterns we stitch & their personal meaningfulness
A nice way you put the video together. We get to see your progress in steps. I used a wrong color in my project today and it took me thirty minutes to take it out. Grrr.
Hi! I'm working on a sampler that I somehow mismeasured: three sides are fine, but the fourth is going to have only an inch margin! What I've seen recommended--and what I'm going to do--is simply add extra fabric to that side. The trade-off is that the seam will have to be covered, so your piece won't have much space between it and the frame or mat. Since I am *not* going to restart my sampler, I figure that I'm just going to be fine with that outcome!
Beautiful work and amazing to associate this pattern with your grandmother. Blessed. 😇 stitching. Thank you for sharing
