Oh dear 🤔 I'm sure you've already done the whole calibration thing where it auto tunes, and also made certain all the locks are free for each motor... That's about all I can think of. But honestly you should be fine for most shooting even without the gimbal.

@@ljmproductions1 i’ve done it all it is perfectly fine tuned and balanced stays in every angle when off, then i calibrate it thats ok as well after that i put one finger on it and it starts shaking like crazy.

Yeah, that doesn't sound great. I assume what you are saying is when you try to pick up the gimbal by the handle it starts shaking. That would sound like it could possibly be a defective unit. If you're talking about it shaking when you touch the camera or one of the arms, that is a little bit more normal; my RS3 mini always fights me if I try to adjust zoom on the camera or anything. Shaking wouldn't be unexpected there. I guess you could see if DJI would accept a return and/or service the device.

I have not shot in PAL at all, but this mode works in all resolutions to my knowledge so I'm confident it does work in 50 fps

@@ljmproductions1 so if it works you will have a crop about 2x in 4K 50/60 FPS.

I do not know about the active track specifically with the S5II and RS3 Mini. I do know that most of the features of the gimbal are accessible when connected with the usb cable to the gimbal. Hope that helps.

That is a really good question. I have not noticed that happening. But I also 99% of the time keep my low light shooting at the base ISO of 640 (the second tier when shooting in natural profile), so I haven't been cranking up the noise much anyway. Maybe I'll make a video testing that 😎

Hmm, I think I may understand what you're saying; getting a handheld sequence tracking the ball and then ending with a made basket? I don't know if I have a good way to test that, but I can picture something like that with swish pans being challenging for rolling shutter. The S5II is not ahead of the competition in that department, from what I understand.

@@ljmproductions1 yes the S5ii is behind in rolling shutter, if only lumix could release something with a much lower RS with their ibis they would be unstoppable

Hello! So I can't say for sure, but my guess is that it would probably record audio successfully because it is already set up to transmit through that USB cable. However, I would suppose that the audio quality won't be very good perhaps, but no worse than you are used to with your headphone mic normally. Just an educated guess. Let me know how it works out for you!

To some degree, yes. Less intense, for sure. You can set up and choreograph a drone fly through or fly-over and get some cool shots. A Mini 4 really isn't designed for flying first person view, or going through tight gaps and that kind of thing, but you could get creative and create some cool shots even so. One thing you would of course have to watch out for is not having prop guards when flying close to people or through gaps and stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thanks for watching and commenting! The gimbal I am using is the RS3 Mini. It works fantastic with this camera! I do not know of a solution for recording to SSD as you describe. I see what you're saying; if you're using the USB port for the gimbal cable, you can't plug in the SSD. My solution (if SSD recording is required) would be to run the system without the cable to the camera. You lose some handy features, but it is totally usable.

@@ljmproductions1 i bout DJI RS4 and i tried 360 rotation mode but it did not work, can you do it in your mini?

@@TheTravellerSheriff I believe I am able to do it with the mini. I have had issues with that function when the gimbal was not properly balanced, however, so maybe make sure that is done correctly. Your full size rs4 should have no issue with using that feature I would say

@@TheTravellerSheriff I can tell you, if you're using the s5ii, the mini is a great choice. I have not personally tested with something like a 24-70 lens, but with the 20-60 it does great, and I believe it works with larger ones as well

Yup, Goose can be deep. And just as sketchy because of the side by sides from what I understand. Greenie is nice. With a Bronco, you'd have no issues, and it's just a fun trail to do that gets to a great view.

Thanks for the encouragement! We didn't explain it in much detail in this video, but a few years ago we did do one of the shorter routes that is less intense, and made it to the peak successfully.
