For those lucky enough to not remember, before this POS came out you would see articles about how "it will fix the wrongs of the anime." Oh the audacity... A show that was canceled after one season and satisfied no one will "fIx tHe wRoNgS" of an anime everyone loves. And you might be thinking "Well of course it's bad if that was the attitude behind the scenes" I just have one question... Why is that attitude popular with adaptations? Like ever since the X-Men movie back in 2000, "What would you prefer, yellow spandex?" Like, yeah I would. For those who have that attitude I just have one question, why are you doing a live action adaptation of an anime/comic/whatever that you clearly hate?

Based on the anime series. Doesn't mean it has to be exactly like it. Too many people can't understand or accept that. The series is really good. I am open and understanding and unconditional to how they make films based on other materials. So people are way too strict on certain or most conditions not being made. I understand that it was not the team's intentions to neglect the characters to look as close as possible and their own traits and style. And the copyright of the owners of the anime on what they do allow the team to create cowboy bebop to life. They may not allow a number of things to use and recreate scenes for scenes. The locations are definitely not easy to film. Get the location, property and other places that are owned and requ😢ires their permission to film and likely have to pay the owners to use their property. In which mostly is filmed in in CGI and green and blue screens to edit everything in a studio. That requires a much bigger team and a lot of funding. The team has tried to get actors to be as close to the anime characters. The team did what they could, it's the modern world of people that would have been willing to help and fund. The series is good. The team didn't go too far as not updating it to modern world and the age of tech and civilizations. They kept it very simple and in it's classic generation era. As if the series is is made in early 2000s. Other worlds and civilizations and not so advanced technology. And not going way too far with it. The comedy and humor and how it actually has the actors to develope into the characters and also all the extras. As most series. The constant toxic and violence and too serious all the time and no humor and mostly drugs and gangs and no real characters to get into. They're all the same. Just different actors playing as the same criminals doing the same things over and over. The team made cowboy bebop in a much better style. Real characters personality and actors performing really well to be these characters. Their own unique style and their humor. The team and the actors did the best they could and with the budget that they had to work with. Can just magically make things in this world from the anime to make the live action go perfect. Nothing in the anime has real existence in the real world. It has to be created and designed and the funds and copyrights and locations permission and the actors and permission from the owners. Getting turned by other business and studios to help and make deal to make cowboy bebop the best they can. Maybe business just not interested and so the team still did what they could and with what they had, with what they can get as for locations and cgi and so on. This is not the team's intention. They really tried. It's a cruel world. And the series is very well done and is exactly like the classic anime. Keeping it very simple and not updating any of it to the modern world. And this is my guess and I understand also that it's based on not live action recreation. Based on The anime and live adaption of the anime. Doesn't mean it has to be as close to it. It's making something and differs in their own way. That is what too many people are not understanding and accepting that it doesn't have to be anything about the original. As for women that did cosplays of faye would have been the better choice. She could have done the design and style to look a lot more like Faye. But the team didn't put in the effort for it.

She could have very easily just said "guys, Faye is a fashionista and isn't going to wear the same thing every day. When the iconic costume shows up, it's gonna be a big moment." Personally, Faye's iconic yellow outfit would look fine on film but would have to be in the right setting. It's something Faye might go dancing in or wear to attract a bounty's attention.

This has undoubtedly got to be one of the dumbest things an actor can do. "Let me go out and start berating all the fans of this series, who will inevitably be paying my salary per episode.... yeah... That's the way I should play this.... Flawless..." Actress is genuinely braindead. Good thing for me though.. I had planned on start watching the show here soon as I had a ton of shows to catch up on the past year or so. So now I won't even bother... LOL.. On to the next!!!!!

She is right up to a point. I saw some pretty stupid insults back then. And it must be hard to be in that position. But unfortunately, nevertheless it was indeed bad casting. The writing could have helped but it sucked really bad completely and it was just soulless. The costume could have created some connection with the actual character without being so “fan service” indeed, but they completely disregarded any inspiration from that as well. And finally if the character had at least some traits of the original it could help as well, but even that was thrown out of the window completely to make way to what Netflix writers consider a strong female character (basically it has to behave exactly like a male character apparently in order for them to consider her “strong”..)

Who's here after watching One Piece? Amazing what can happen when you don't piss all over the fans and gaslight them. People are saying that Netflix learned their lesson, but not even sure that that's the case as there were rumors that Oda was involved and re-wrote some scenes because he didn't like what Netflix did. RIP CowboyBebop and what you could have been. :(

Notice how this show was handled vs how the witcher was handled. Both are shows that use the source material imagery and have virtually no connection to the source material story but one show got cancelled after the first season while the other is getting a 4th.

I guess she never heard, 'Don't feed the trolls". Hardcore fans are going to complain about every little detail. It's what they do. I personally liked the show and really enjoyed her in it. (Shower Bath Shower), is a game changer. But, from what I hear, (and this has nothing to do with her or her casting), the show was not faithful to the anime.

I hate the cowboy bebop live action because it has no soul or character. The spike is not suave and mysterious, faye is not a femme fatale, vicious is a cartoon villan, and they completely understood julia. The only one who was good was jet. Not to mention the story was literally a mish mash of the stories ive seen and love told ass backwards. They didnt earn it nor did they have anything worthwhile to say. It was like listening to an album but a cover band decided to splice parts together to tell a mish mash of the same story.

You have been fired and it’s the best news for Cowboy Bebop in a long time. Btw, try to gain some weight and workout. You might fill Faye’s clothes in a few months.
