    I have a E Classic 2300, my primary inlet tube rotted thru and started leaking water into the firebox. Creosote is very corrosive. The 25 year warranty was useless. CB wouldn’t fix it without me shipping it back to them and wanted $2900 to do the repairs. They offered to give me a replacement inlet tube, which is a 8” piece of pipe, it’s the labor to do this replacement that was the issue. I ended up cutting out the rotten material and having a local mobile welder come and weld in the new tube that I sourced. They told me the problem was operator error.

      @TCsOutdoors1 2 дні тому

      I’m sorry to hear this, it seems to be the trend though. I have heard way too many times that people were not able to use their warranty when they needed it. The warranty was one of the major reasons I chose a CB, it’s a shame they operate like that.

    Great video! I prefer the old school boiler like we have. Much less fuss. Probably lose some efficiency in the trade off though?

      @TCsOutdoors1 3 дні тому

      Thanks Mike! I’m sure there is some trade offs for efficiency but I think it’s probably worth it for ease of use. Unfortunately here in NY my only option was a gasser because of epa laws.

    Rule #1) Water does not burn. Rule #2) Large logs are soaking wet inside Rule #3) Large logs last longer in a fire because of Rule #1 and Rule #2

    • @TCsOutdoors1
      @TCsOutdoors1 4 дні тому

      Yeah not exactly correct in the gassers but thanks for watching! Every BTU used to dry your wood is a BTU lost in the case of heat the water the supply’s heat to the hydronic system. This means you’ll burn more wood per season if you’re burning green/wet wood.

    These Chinese chainsaws are underrated. The fuel mixture usually needs tuning to get full RPM. Treat the original bar and chain rough because the sooner you wear them out and change them to Oregon, the more you will like it. Same with Poulan, get the fuel mix right and change to an Oregon bar and chain and you have a great saw that starts easily, has power, and cuts fast.

      @ by the way … every house has a boilers system…. It’s called a water heater …. It’s just not pumped through the house for heat….

      I flipped the O-ring on the gas cap and the leak seems to have stopped, for now at least. It has one set of small dogs I didn’t put them on during the first video. I’ve installed them and the work good for firewood

    Just subscribed. I have a small 40cc saw but I wouldn't turn it down. Liking your videos.

    Just thought I'd share, we've used our central boiler for the past 20 years, that is the lifetime of these outdoor boilers, they don't rust out from the water side, they rust out between the expanding foam and water jacket, the condensation is held in the foam like a sponge, my burner is now junk and too expensive to replace, these are almost being given away because of rust outs, poor engineering.

      Thanks for sharing and I’m sorry your burner is rotted out. It’s a bummer so many people have had issues with their Central Boilers failing.

    I was having burning issues with my Edge HDX Ang could find no air flow blockage. It turned out to be corrosion in pigtail connections to dampers. Just thought I’d put that out there to add to things to check when burn is not performing at 100%.

      Thank for sharing your experience. I will keep an eye on my connections, maybe I’ll put a little dielectric grease on them the next time I have it apart.

      Very cool! It seems like a good saw, I’m hoping to get out tomorrow and do a bit of cutting. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

    Decent saw for $100. Good for small stuff and light homeowner use. Glad you’re back. Good stuff.
