Thanks for sharing your experience!
People need to understand you have to get your foot in the door. Peoples Ego is what is holding him back. Once u start a entry level Tech job it will open many doors to progress further
Thank you for the info
Thank you
Yup he is right I'm looking for a job their getting smarter I had one mask their gmail to look like H&M looking for a security guy. And this was over email they post fake job listings
Thank you even if i was not planning getting job because I’m still young but still thanks for the warning
Nice! I started at an MSSP as an intern. After they hired me on I was at 60k/yr in NC. The most value comes from the experience you gain!
Maaaannn idk . I got a degree and I’m struggling to even get help desk .
We dont see the pay stubs

Definitely need to give it a restart or some updates!.
insightful to see you in tech , it has always been my passion since young to dip and dabble into technology and explore it as a profession. unfortunately the layoffs and the amount of hard work it takes just to land a interview and how long inbetween jobs you most likely will be in makes me want to stear far away from this sector lol , high pay but comes with very high risk i think ill pass
Good to see you again
Likewise, Friend
Lmfao, u gotta put in way more work for the same job u could’ve easily landed 5 years ago with a coding bootcamp, fufk that shit, even if u do land a job, you’ll always be worried when or if you’ll be layed off
Not only a lot more work but... there seems to be statistics pointing towards discrimination... a lot... asians favoring asians, and other groups favoring their own... only 5% and 6% of the tech workers at google, Microsoft and Meta are latino or black... even if we pass all the test, they will hire someone they will favor...
Interesting information
Sir, is like doing Computer science degree or learning coding is a waste because they had the best of best programmers ever then with them, they hold all the source code, every futuristic project they are already working on it then why study it beside AI is getting better in the next 5 to 10 years whoch will be fast and better 10x times then this imagine. I feel like switch to medical line course
Interesting information you shared.
I think the laptop wins this one
Awesome
But the desktop version is iconic too imagine telling your friends you got one of these things at home@@juiceytech
How to deploy a VPN on the domain for remote users?
Simply remote access into the machine, and then drag and drop the ap onto the machine.
@@juiceytech I tough I need to install a VPN service first on the server and add VPN users to a security group.
How’d you get into IT?
You are so right about there's too many competition, when Brexit happened alot of tech companies moved here in Ireland from the UK needless to say there was an ocean of tech jobs, I always loved technology and thought it was My calling so I went ahead and did My A+ cert, couldnt land a job and thought that ok it's an entry level cert maybe I need to level up My game, eventually got a Net+ cert and still no one wants to hire, these companies and majority of them do not want entry level techies only call centers want them and even then they outsource call center agents from abroad... trying to get a Sec+ now and hopefully this will be it.
Interesting information. Thank you so much for sharing. But at this point, it's best to focus on networking.
Yep I just got my first IT HELPDESK job and it’s all I do
Interesting and congratulations, Vertebrae Friend

4 years is a long journey 😂
It really is
If it is in California, I'm ready 🙂
The thing I am seeing is that the "entry level software developer/engineer" job title is disappearing; you need to be mid-level and upwards. Meaning need to have a mixture of frontend, backend, devops and cloud expertise. Essentially you need to be full-stack in a way and most entry guys and gals don't have all of that at once. I can't speak on your sub-sector (IT Helpdesk) as you are more well-versed.
Not to mention the amount of competition has skyrocketed.
You a busy man bro😂

How can i get into tech! Still looking after my degree
This is a good start⤵️ coursecareers.com/a/86a85614
Everyone knows the best way to make money is to sell a course and make a bunch of troll videos pushing people to pay money for your course
It works
I always think it's funny when I hear people say A.I. will replace engineers. 1. if that's the case why doesn't chatGPT code itself, 2. if it gets rid of harder jobs what would make you think that it wouldn't get rid of the easier jobs and 3. Even if it did there would still be other opportunities like building your own software, building apps for small businesses that can't afford an A.I server and database, and developers funding their own business as a collective and crush the top companies.
Yup. I agree with you
One things I've noticed as a software engineer is that many companies can get by without adding features after a certain point. What they can't do is get by if the phones aren't working, if the CEO can't print reports...FWIW I don't think software engineering is going anywhere anytime soon. AI is currently a tool but not a replacement. What's going to happen is that many juniors and career changers are going to need to embrace lower salaries and lateral moves like starting as a QA or in support. Last thing I'll say is that twitter is a dumpster fire and a lot has to do with the layoffs. Some companies won't advertise on there because the investment in moderation is gone. Some companies may see the same result from laying off engineers.
Very interesting information you shared. Thank you
Why not offer the option of some of those devs to switch to those IT roles ? Kinda evil. I'm sure some desperate ones (at least 50%) would have taken the roles even with less pay.
This is actually true. I agree
lol! You're next on the chopping block...... Next UA-cam video for you: I was laid off from my IT job......
Ouch lol
A lot of people dont realize AI is barely doing anything on the IT side of things. Web developers seem to be hit the hardest.
The biggest clue is that 0penAI is not firing its software engineers, only non-developers would think that AI would outcompete its creators.
This is true
I don't think the majority of laid off software engineers are any good (not all, just the majority) and that's why they got selected to be laid off. There were probably many that were good and got let go due to company financial reasons. Either way, who can easily make the distinction between two people with FAANG experience and varying capabilities? That alone makes the hiring manager's job of digging thru applications a chore and dilutes the applicant pool with "qualified applicants".
In the pandemic companies received funding from governs to support them hire more people, the pandemic is gone, the fundings are gone, and now companies get rid of the surplus. Problem is that anyone can be laid off.
@@catalinul5700 If you had your own business and had to let some staff go, would you start with cutting the best people first? Probably not. I'd think that most businesses would make cuts that have the least impact. That's not to say no good employees are let go.
It is a very strange time right now in the tech field
Sometimes when you lay off or reject people you create fertile ground for them to start a competing company.
That part...actually when I was a software developer (my last 3 years I was extremely cynical mind you) I would look at features of web app and rebuild it and at least make it look extremely better visually and a few changes then I'd put that in my portfolio. I just wanted to let them know it's possible for a competitor to pop up if you don't give me this damn job
@@ohmyv3gatron Indeed I am a webdev and blockchain dev with my own projects, I feel figuring out the market is easier than what employers want.
He's talking like IT doesn't have just as much competition and all those engineers are trying to pivot to IT
I see stories all the time on Reddit of people stuck in help desk making $20/hr
exactly he is foolish, GitHub is the biggest repository holder for devs and had approximately 80% of online repo accounts, or 54 million accounts back in 2023. 54 million is still drastically less than 1 percent of people worldwide and that doesn't account for multiple accounts, people who started and quit, retirees, different types of engineers(game, mobile, web, IoT, cyber security, DevOps, testing, databases, and the like ),etc.
Sucks for them
You lost me after 1 minute. You repeat the same few words for 1 minute. Words that are already in the title. I do not have a whole day to wait for you to make an idea.
You're the only one complaining
@@juiceytech Low standards.
also seeing a decline in pay in the uk, was seeing software engineers with similar salaries to mine and i am a 2nd line engineer
That's insane
There is a flood of engineers out there but the question is are they any good? We can’t find backend java devs who write tests and have an AWS background
that is pretty basic you prob are doing something wrong on your end.
@ they fired someone and I now have to get their application to production to placate the customers. For starters their database design should have went through a DBA. There are poor developers in the industry and companies right now are shedding the dead wood
@@mrjavascript I personally also think a lot of companies have a backwards hiring process with gotcha esoteric questions, and interviews that just do not reflect the day to day work a developer does, but I sincerely wish you best of luck with it all, the truth often is somewhere in between.
@@N34R4T0M4T the internal interview process is a mess and filters out a lot of potentially good candidates. Still think it’s best to have recruiters present candidates to clients, they have a good semblance at finding talent for positions
@@mrjavascript exactly my point
Could you please distinguish IT personnel from software engineers? In this case, would you say IT engineers are IT technicians who manage your office devices and physical office infrastructure?
I think you already explained it right. This is what I noticed: for many people, a Software Engineer, Web Developer, or Data Analyst is considered someone in Tech, while an IT System Administrator or someone on the Helpdesk is viewed as an IT person.
@@Lina-yx6hb Thank you for clarifying!
I always thought Software Engineers is under the category of IT professionals, so maybe i was wrong lol
Where I come from (Germany), it's the same - Software Engineers are considered IT professionals. But in some places, like the US, IT and Tech are seen as different, and Software Engineers fall under the Tech category. Funny how it varies, lol.
Interesting
thanks
Coursecareers is all you need? What certs did you have before you got hired

I agree but heres the dilemma. If the easier tasks are being replaced by AI, then where does that position entry level devs/junior devs? This becomes even more problematic becaus the curriculum of bootcamps and CS will always be outdated ...or not rigorous enough to prep for job market.
Yup. I agree with you.
