That "blogger" did Phil dirty. You are totally supposed to eat the ginger with the century-old eggs, and for newbies, you are recommended to put sugar on top as well. Traditional Chinese Medicine, on the other hand, does taste of old tires. Don’t go to Tim Ho Wan for dim sum. As soon as they got the Michelin Star, the owner opened a bunch of crappy branches and then sold the brand to other people who squeezed as much profit out of it as possible until Michelin wised up and took away the Star. Lastly, a pot of 50 years' Pu'Er tea, if genuine, costs no less than any meal Phil has had in the entire Netflix series...

I love Phil and his artwork. Every time I enjoy his program a strong sense of warmth is in the bottom of my heart. Especially, a special part in each episode which he makes video calls to tell jokes for memorizing his dear father makes me remind my beloved family members. I love it!!!

Like many of the American food travellers, I love to see the food, but I find the presenters a tad patronising.

he looks really uncomfortable and awkward in social situations...with those wierd facial expressions...when that girl asked him for a kiss and the women offered him a prawn he avoided eye contact...

Somebody Feed Phil is coming back for a 5th season and I'm digging up his old work on PBS 😄 This guy has the same humour as my dad, and I get so much comfort out of these shows.

Love this show but, as a Spaniard, cant understand why english Speaking creators think is cool to use Latin American music with loads of brass and Caribbean drums 😂🤣 dont get me wrong, I love that kind of music as much as the next person, but it sounds as ridiculous as using Irish Celtic music for a documentary about Alabama. Not even the bits of Spanish music they use (Andalusian of course) match the Catalan culture AT ALL 🥲

Why does Phil remind me of Larry Fine? Whatever, he genuinely loves sampling the food of various cultures and he's totally respectful toward any kind of culture he finds himself in. Oh, and Spain was where I went on my honeymoon, and, yes, the food there is delicious!!
